With all the excitement over at PMO and HUR I think folks have maybe just woken up the fact that this baby is also undervalued and not responded as it might to the POO increase. No debt, production ramping etcall looking good here too. Come on FPM make me an even happieeeeer man.
Looks like it is going to hit $70 very soon IMO.
$68 a barrel again.
Just wishing everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year. GLA
Must be an added Xmas bonus time at the moment with Brent Crude above $66 a barrel, and likely to go higher as we enter the new year with increased demand, must be a strong buy for 2018 IMO with the prospects here.
This IMO is a great one for 2018 and beyond. Well run company, great spread of assets some producing and some in development. Cash and financing in place for development. Could be a takeover target for Delek or others however I would prefer to see this one fulfil its potential. BUY. HOLD and benefit. IMO.
Very positive closing statement from Graham Stewart in RNS. "As 2017 draws to a close, Faroe Petroleum is in a good place, with a fully funded investment programme, a strong balance sheet, a number of high quality development projects underway to meet our production goals. We also look forward to another high impact exploration programme in 2018, starting with the OMV-operated Aerosmith/Hades well, currently drilling in Norway".
Wouldn't surprise me to see FPM move to London or Stavangar now the Crankie Lass has ensured all employees get hit with tax over and above the rest of the UK. yes I'm griping as it effects me just the same and I am a grey squirrel from englandshire!!!!
Both my main shares IMO are very good buys Faroe here and HNR, and are well undervalued given the potential game changing growth they both have with their portfolios. Unfortunately both need time to develop these over the next couple of years, but again IMO are both substantially de-risked and have sound finances, and despite short term SP ups and downs in the long term both companies will grow and SP should follow. Looking forward to 2018 and beyond but DYOR and GLA.
Serica just had a game changer and the SP rocketed with now a £200m market cap in a matter of days. That said still think Faroe is a better bet if I were to buy one today.
lets hope Delek have better luck than Dana or Parkmead holding large tranches for a long time with an increase of... zilch. Guess I have a jaundiced outlook with holding myself ..... and still the preverbial optimist ... god bless my other debt free company Serica that allows me to put these in the bottom drawer
BUY, HOLD wait for the market to realise this will be BIG and is significantly undervalued. DELEK could pounce... however I have re assessed my position and now think they will do an Ithaca and wait for us to develop Brasse and then pounce - no certainty though. If oil remains above $60 then this should break the £1.
With Brent Crude now approaching $66 a barrel, the huge growth in output planned over the next few years and DELEK stalking in the background, the share price here is well undervalued. Topped up with a few more yesterday at 96p and can see FPM being 2 or 3 times this price when we reach 40,000 bopd, that is if DELEK don't swoop before.
Hope the 2 guys make a quick and full recovery, and no long term issue.
Looks like I am going to lose some shares, Oh well. I'll hang on another couple of days before getting back in.
Two offshore workers have been injured in an incident on the Aker BP-operated Tambar field offshore Norway. One of the workers fell into the sea. Norwegian operator Aker BP confirmed on Thursday that a serious incident was reported on its operated Tambar field in the North Sea at 12.10 local time. The incident took place on the Maersk Drilling-owned Maersk Interceptor jack-up rig, which currently drills wells on the offshore field. “Two people employed in Maersk Drilling are injured in the incident. One fell to sea,” Aker BP said. According to the oil company, the worker was retrieved by a standby boat, and the company is working to bring both involved to land. Offshore Energy Today has reached out to Aker BP as well as the rig owner, Maersk Drilling, for further information about the incident. A spokesperson for Aker BP has confirmed to Offshore Energy Today that two SAR helicopters are bringing the injured onshore. “We have activated our emergency preparedness organization and cooperate closely with the relevant authorities to handle the situation,” the spokesperson added. A spokesperson for Maersk Drilling has also confirmed the incident, adding that one of the workers was treated on board the rig for injuries and is now being picked up by helicopter. The other employee fell overboard and is on route to the hospital by SAR helicopter and has received immediate medical attention, the spokesperson said. The Tambar installation is located 16 kilometer southeast of Ula in 68m water depth. It is a normally unmanned wellhead platform (NUI), remotely controlled from Ula. The Ula field center serves as an area hub for the satellite field Tambar, and as a third-party host for the Oselvar and Blane fields. Aker BP is currently working on a redevelopment project on the Tambar field which consists of two additional wells and gas lift. This is expected to extend the production period from the field by about ten years. The gas lift is being installed because the reservoir pressure at Tambar is no longer sufficient to ensure satisfactory production. As for the Maersk rig, it was hired to drill and complete two new wells on the field, designated 1/3-K-4 and 1/3-K-2.
OSLO, Dec 7 (Reuters) - Two people were injured on a Maersk-owned drilling rig at Aker BP’s Tambar oilfield off Norway on Thursday, Aker BP said. One of the two individuals fell into the sea and was picked up by a ship that was on standby at the field, Aker BP said. It did not provide details of how the second person was injured. Both individuals were working for Maersk Drilling. The company declined to comment on any impact on output at the North Sea Tambar field. “Aker BP confirms that a serious incident has been reported at 1210 (1110 GMT) today at the Tambar field,” the company said in a statement. It did not give additional information on the extent of the injuries.
Im out, I will definately be buying back in once dust settles. Might even lose some shares for the security. GLA.

I bought the drop at 92.49, it's started bouncing back up again now.
This just dropped sub 90p in a flash.
Bit of a lonely board this one Shadow, but I have a holding here and have a watching brief. Made a decision a few years ago to build a substantial holding in both FPM and SQZ - luckily for me one of my Christmas presents has been transformational. Did add a few more FPM around 55p and 70p, so no more for me - GL and lets hope FPM concentrate on the SP rather than MC going forward - it hasn't in the past!!
Just given myself an early Xmas present and topped up my oil shares holding. IMO both FPM and HNR have huge upside potential for 2018 and beyond, especially with Brent and WTI Crude prices likely to remain at or above current levels for 2018 following recent OPEC agreement and with Russia's support. GLA and Merry Xmas and Happy New Year.
FPM like my other major share holding HNR in my opinion have huge upside potential going forward especially with WTI and Brent Crude at these levels. Both companies have recently raised extra funds and have good portfolios of oil resources and projects to exploit in the near to long term to add substantial value to the businesses. I believe current SP's will look extremely cheap when we look back in 12 months time. DYOR & GLA
