A couple of big trades going through after the bell, would these be buys or sells, I think could be buys? any ideas. Last time this happened a RNS came a few days later about the takeover rejection by Hedin.
Very low volumes, and large spread. Not surprising given everyone is waiting for another bid, from Hedin, or Lithia, or someone else.
The strange thing though is that it is holding so low - any bid would obviously be 29p+ if it comes (and nothing is guaranteed), so can anyone explain to me why it is holding 25% down from that? Is the market really not convinced that another bid will materialise?
Hedin offered 28p few months ago and now board were prepared to sell to someone else for 29p.
The board need resign, could hav been sold ages ago to hedin.
In summary we are still for sale , so interested parties form a queue and have your 29p ready!
If it was Hedin that rejected the bid it now puts them in a very strong position because it means that IF they do want to put in a bid whatever it is , they know that the 4 other biggest shareholders are happy to get at least 29p.
So maybe now is the time to offer 30p-50p and get the deal done.
Reading the press release, it implies that Hedin may have rejected the bid, so would that mean they are still in the hunt for the company, it will need a bigger then 29p bid, so could we expect Hedin to hit 30p.
The 4 could only have said yes coz they knew the fifth would say no.
So this bid was for 29p and I think the last bid was for 28p, all very close but still needs to be 50p ish in my view.
Very interesting that 4 said ok but the 5th said NO.
So could the 5th Holder be Hedin who hold 26% and enough to stop the other 4 holders.
Now is that so Hedin can make their own move on PDG .??????
Given the BoE assessment yesterday what's everyone's opinion on a forthcoming recession hitting the car industry? Car prices have risen so much over the last two years its difficult not to see defaults rise on those car loans.
29p bid required 5 major shareholders to commit. 4 said yes but because 5th didn’t , bid is not going ahead. Still means 21.5p is too low
Also a lot of unknown buys, would they be buys or sells? anyone have an idea.
Something strange going on today, mass buys, usually 30 - 50 per day, over 500 so far?
I see another broker rating today, same as last time but good to confirm, good buy for another continental buyer?
Which will still leave us with a PE ratio of below 4. I could live on 20% dividends and zero share price rise for a few years.
It's good that it's now debt free but i expected revenue to be higher. 2H revenue will be more hampered by interest rate rises, lower consumer confidence and lower savings for cash purchases, not to mention the existing supply chain issues.
We expect to report Group underlying profit before tax of c.£33m for the first-half of FY22 (H1 FY21: £35.1m).
Group adjusted Net cash as at 30 June was £2.8m (31 December 21: net debt £49.7m).
Come on Hedin!
I found a range of £85mm to £90mm but not from their RNS.
It sounds reasonable given £83mm profit last year.
Anyone know any exact numbers?
Can anyone point me to the RNS which states the PBT year end board consensus for 2022 please.
Probably because of their latest fantastic initiative.......

Still no understanding of the ‘shenanigan’s’ that seem to be going on. Last few weeks there are frequently large trades reported in grey as unknown. They don’t get added to the buys and sells totals in the summary. Why would people be selling if there’s a takeover of 28p could the deal when it’s done be less than the 21-22p current trades are going through at. Hedin group still interested?
No idea myself, unless those in the know, know more than us, but why the big jump on Friday 10% ?
More buys than sales and the price is down 8%. Any experienced investors with suggestions?
