Looks like we have lift off
https://renews.biz/82620/geothermal-eligible-for-fifth-uk-contract-for-difference-round/
On one hand, we have this 2017 BBC article:
"France set to ban sale of petrol and diesel vehicles by 2040"
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-40518293
On the other, we have this 2021 bloomberg article:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-07-12/france-pushes-back-against-eu-banning-combustion-cars-by-2035#xj4y7vzkg
- Who is lying? Macron, BBC or Bloomberg ?
wiki2 link: "The launch was planned for 2022. In December 2020 Ineos announced the final assembly would take place in Hambach, France, instead of South Wales."
He seems to be interested in INEOS Grenadier 4X4 venture,
even though we are told by this Fishy Rishi UK govt & MSM that new ICE autos will soon be banned..
Do they know something different; or will these autos be only for export
to hypocritical foreign countries & the super-rich?
Maybe the whole 'Net Zero' thing is a ploy to bankrupt certain car companies,
making autos more expensive across the world,
in the interests of the few mega-rich WEF members
with ties to the Tory Party?
INEOS Grenadier: https://ineosgrenadier.com/en/gb/
https://wiki2.org/en/Ineos#Ineos_Automotive
"In September 2019, it was initially announced that vehicle, now officially named Ineos Grenadier, would be manufactured in two new factories in Estarreja, Portugal (chassis and body) and Bridgend, South Wales"
- Well the Tories are banning ICE vehicles, aren't they?
- How about France?
- EU doing the same?
*Tumble weeds*
Absolutely Friday’s saw the pivotal break of 17p
I see a massive potential for this company now we have SSE backing us, Geothermal is the way forward for this country and this company, as stated in recent interviews that igas is the number one leading company in geothermal for the uk and we’re here to deliver for one of the leading energy suppliers “SSE” and that says it all.
Are mkcap is 20m so imho this sp could explode on first drill announcement that’s expected this year Q1.
All holder here know the potential and other’s will join us very soon, Atb.
Can’t wait to see this being a big success ! IGAS is very cheap stock and geothermal is the way forward
New updated website for GT energy along with a new highly experienced and highly respected new board member in the name of Doug Fleming,
The company is gearing up for the commitments it’s made with SSE , we’re number one choice for geothermal in the uk, now that’s saying something.
Buy buy buy.
Let’s hope so too much upside to ignore here.
Clearly things have moved on! Great work Pasa . I’m glad I’m here amongst such knowledgeable investors.
So I expect the geothermal hot water will be on a hot Water meter just like your normal water meters to your house,
As igas/ hence GT energy, so doe’s anyone kn what’s the going tariff for geothermal heating as we will be supplying the heat/ energy and SSE will be supplying the network and the infrastructure plus the services.
I expect we will receive a high percentage of the tariff as we own the heat source.
Does anyone know the percentage or revenue for igas to deliver the heat source that’s the biggest part of the deal. Thanks a ll shareholders.
Spade is alking about absolete tech. Stirling Engines can be used to generate at even lower temps than 95 deg C.
What matters is the temp difference between hot and cold plates, but to make it more efficient, there are ways to cool the cold plates even more, essentiallyfor free. One of them, a low-tech fridge/freezer buried in the ground, uses windchill through coils of copper pipes, heat exchangers and so on. It requires practically no energy to operate, just a small battery, yet you can freeze stuff with it !!
For generation that are alternatives to using pressure to run a turbine.
One of them is a Stirling Engine.
Here is a industrial Stirling Generator:
https://www.linquip.com/device/1644/stirling-engine-microgen-engine
Paper from the year 2000, on using Stirlings with geothermal:
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/237470718_Geothermal_electricity_production_by_means_of_the_low_temperature_difference_Stirling_engine
- sect 4, GEOTHERMAL POWER GENERATION says:
"Today it is generally presumed that commercial geothermalpower-plants work only with high temperature steam, while geothermal water is applicable only for direct use. As acontrast to that, the new development of the Stirling engine showed that the low temperature geothermal sources can alsobe successfully used for the conversion of heat into themechanical work and then into electric power"
When I did a rough model of deep geothermal for wells, I was only assuming 60 deg C.
95 deg C is GREAT & exceeds expectations! Don't forget that there are ways of makin the flow hotter using stratification tanks to seperate the temperature distribution into different layers.
Modifying the heat exchanging properties at the bottom of the well (or loop if two wells) could yield alot of benefits. Also, more surface contact with the flow means more area to heat whichever fluid is used, which is also another variable that could yield benefits, like a mix of CO2 and water to give some fizz and penertrate the rock more at the bottom, and collect some of it again in a trompe system.
The share to be in 2023 as I’ve said many times, and we’re number one to deliver Geothermal for the uk and is big. SSE is big and we have an advantage as we know the business and we’re already here,, buy and hold.
Fingers crossed!
GLA
Well I’m sure sse and stoke county council see a viable project
Yeah i said it was old data , 95 is still not hot enough for traditional geothermal , recovery losses would take it too low for generation and limit it to Really Really local heating distribution
Im in, and would like this to be a commercial avenue but haven't really seen a viable plan
In stoke on Trent as noted by gt energy
Old map, old data, up to date surveys show 95 c water at 3800 m
Old geothermal map of the UK. https://largeimages.bgs.ac.uk/iip/mapsportal.html?id=1004780
I remember studying this at uni and the bed rock temps wernt high enough for commercial gain. You really need to be on fault lines like Hawaii and Iceland.
You can inject low boiling point Solvents and drive turbines to make electricity but it didnt really take off.. LOL

The Glentworth application is now "out for consultantion" with letters sent this week to authorities and neighbours. We have the first response: "Lincolnshire Police do not have any objections to this application." I hope more are in line with this =)
Total rubish, Siccar held WIs in Cambo and Rosebank, which are massive compared to iGas' reserves
