To put the madness of the current share price/ market cap. into context I was having a look at the current status of BPC. - BPC have no P2 reserves and LGO have 12m BOE. - BPC cash balance at end of 2016 was $1m and LGO currently have around $2.5m. - BPC have no production and LGO have around 500 BOPD. - BPC have exploration licenses offshore whereas LGO is onshore. - BPC market cap is £15m and LGO is £17m. - LGO have Leo Koots!!! The AIM market can remain distorted for a long time and it takes time for true value to come to fruition. You need to have the patience to see these mis-understood investment opportunities out.
Would that news alone ross encourage you to have a dabble. ....lol.....
Dazbrad Agreed, that would be a good sign.
Brasso i tend to agree!
LK is not going to have this big launch without some additional news. I expect it could be on several fronts:- - New institutional investors. - Scrapping the Lind loan facility. - New strategy for T & T assets. - New partner/ funding. - Additional board members.
Don't know about Monday, but definitely as the week goes on up to the launch of Columbus, and as there is so much going on and planned for trinidad I can see why Leo wants a part of it
Published: Thursday, May 25, 2017 State-owned Petrotrin is expected to increase its crude production by a further 21,000 barrels of oil per day (bo/d) over the next three years at an estimated cost of $5 billion, according to Energy Minister Franklyn Khan. Speaking on Monday at the sixth conference of the Geological Society of T&T, Khan said that Petrotrin offers the best hope to increase crude production in the short term. With this in mind, he announced a planned jump in the company’s production by 21,000 bo/d or a 30 per cent increase from its current production. In an interview with the Business Guardian at the same conference, Petrotrin’s president Fitzroy Harewood said the company has been gradually increasing production to the point where it is up to 46,000 bo/d from 41,000 bo/d in December, a jump of 12 per cent. Asked where the 21,000 bo/d output increase was going to come from, Harewood said, “So the combination of drilling on land, which we want to push up to two rigs if we can next year, and then the resumption of drilling in Trinmar next year as well as the EOR (enhanced oil recovery) activities will give us some fillip.” Harewood said the company would also be returning to exploration drilling, or searching for new crude. He pointed out that under a production sharing contract with the government, the company is expected to drill three wells in the North Marine Block in 2017, but while it will start two of the three in 2017, all will be completed in 2018. “We are working towards starting that work in the fourth quarter this year and the next well in 2018. The licences acreage is North Marine and we have an obligation to do exploratory wells. Actually it was suppose to be the end of 2017 but when we took some time to review our prospect generation and do some more work on the data set, the ministry allowed us to go to 2018,” Harewood told the Business Guardian. Mobile production facility to be commissioned Harewood said the wells in North Marine are being drilled based on the recently acquired 3D seismic which gave Petrotrin improved sub-surface vision and he was quietly confident that it will generate good prospects. “They are exploration wells based on the 3d seismic data we have done, and we have looked at the prospects and leads and the expectation is that we should have some good prospects. We are doing some de-risking of the prospects right now and doing peer reviews and it should give us some good co-ordinates to go after and it will see what it brings us,” he said. Khan revealed that the state-owned company will spend over $5 billion in the next three years on exploration and production as it tries to get additional equity crude for the refinery. One such project is the South West (SW) Soldado project in which crude has stayed in the ground for years because of a lack of infrastructure to produce it. Harewood said Petrotrin was m
big week next week:)
W'happen?
Gaining momentum ready for Monday?
I give up. *Aforementioned Conference Call*.
I probably should've highlighted the aforementioned company and their penultimate Rns caused approximately an 80% Sp increase. Still, if that type of 'insigignificant' news is released here, then I'm sure many would settle for that Sp hike over the following days.
Once again, Rossannan shows his inexperience of the value of Investor Presentations / Conference Calls. It's not only Rns news that can cause a flurry with the Sp. FRR completed a Conference Call (not the most recent one) but their penultimate one, and that spoke of the dynamics of the company and allowed an opportunity to put to bed certain bile that many folk regurgitate about the business. I'm sure LGO / Columbus has a lot of information that can be shared and is of great interest to private investors, which don't require the need for perpetual Rns'. Even if an Rns isn't released, LK is promoting LGO / Columbus quite strongly and he must be doing that for a wider reason - as opposed to feeding us small minnows with information. Regards.
petersalkeld Agreed, if there isn't an RNS LK won't have anything significant to talk about at the event, so it's hard to imagine that there won't be one.
Lots of buys soaking up election sell off, looking very good for next week, roll on the 15th
Hope you have a great time grq. ....I'm on mine just now in Tokyo. ..what a place. ...
Alex, I would liked to have gone but I fly on my jollys on Wednesday. I'm not convinced about an on the day Rns. T'would be nice though.
yeah that's right peter, I imagine we will have an RNS out on the day, then the presentation will be available on the website after. cheers
Sorry - Doesn't
Doesn'yt he have to publish any Columbus plans through an RNS - Surely he can't say anything that is market sensitive at that meeting?
so load up before the weekend, I cant wait to see Leo's presentation and future Columbus plans. anyone on here going??
I think you'll be OK. ..I'm needing a shot load more.....
J99MES, You asked me if 6.6p gets me my new car. It doesn't. It just breaks even. :(
On here today
PinWiz How so? Do you not agree that significant potential for share issues is written into those terms and that the security covers all of LGO's assets (as opposed to the limited scope of BNPP's security)?
