The way I have read it is that they are dealing with managing water once it is out of the pit. The issue that has bothered me above all else is the ingress into the pit - this can be managed but only to an extent. It does appear to be an increasingly tricky situation.
I certainly couldnt buy any this morning but I guess that was because there were a number of buy orders already in situ Indeed I have just seen the 5M share purchase from 8:29 recorded as a sale which it clearly wasnt!!! Having said all that I still expect the sp to drop back to 0.15 today. My glass is half empty!!!!
Fundamentally I am of a very similar view Had a squeaky bum moment this morning but The two positives I took from today was the point re the water issue likely to be resolved in a few weeks and the POC and Zinc still on the rise!!! Of course the Strategic Review cotinues. Not a good time to sell IMO, Certainly not a share for widows and orphans. Actually look at flow group That is totally dead in the water with nothing avail for shareholders as afar as I can see yet that share is on the move RIDICULOUS!!
great post
I expected buying to dry up today, and the SP to collapse. In fact it is almost steady and on very heavy volume. Maybe someone knows something? Even without any knowledge of anyone's intentions, I can see that with a 2m cap and valuable assets (Berg Aukas plus Central Ops) and copper strongly expected to rise, this could well be a good 'punt' at 0.2p. However, today's volume of buys looks like more than just a few 'punters'.
Personally Jess my crystal ball was misplaced. Yesterdays news was really not good and tbh I thought the sp would drop to 0.13 but I had no intention of selling Curiosity got the better of me and I looked early doors but was offered 0.105 In light of this I tried to buy at 0.12 but there were none availabe. So from that I feel the speculators are on board and I am sure there will be a number who will have exited at around 0.16/0.18 mark The sp may stabilise then until we have news re the water issue in a few weeks. I think the shares are now held by holders who were either spiked as they call it at 0.44 or long termers who are in for the duration. So IMO not a lot of people prepared to sell indeed all the major holders including ORION are still in!! The POC is pivotal here and today the POC has risen to close on $7000/tonne. IMO More importantly the price of Zinc is on the rise $3100. Berg Aukus was robust at $2000. All they need is a jv partner. Have you looked at the numbers re Berg Aukus? WHat is your view about that? What is your view overall re WTI?
0.25 NO CHANGE !!!!!
What can we expect the sp to settle at What’s everyone’s opinion?
Weatherly and also POC!!! 3.13&/lb
Bouncy bouncy !! Come on!!
paid
Was kicked out No shares avail at pres. So has inc and is no 0.13 From the RBS Weatherly anticipate the water issue to be resolved in a few weeks!!!??
Haven't heard her singing yet... GLA
The only piece of good news was:- Work has been ongoing for the last six months to upgrade the infrastructure for managing water once it is pumped outside the pit, and this work is expected to be complete in the next few weeks.
Should make up for your short on WEB from 4p... imo.
ouch my short doing well
0.1322..to buy
anyone topping up
The guy who bought 7M shares test must be well pi55ed after seeing the sp reduced to 0.1p !!!!!
Agreed, JP. This is looking more and more like a major write-down (maybe even a write-off) for Orion, and probably zilch for the rest of us. A decent increase in the Cu price could rescue WTI if the mine could continue producing at somewhere near nameplate, but with the mine flooded I doubt that this would help much. Sorry all.
Well WTI is going to be worth less than peanuts from a stockmarket valuation. It is really Orion who now need to figure out what to do with this mess.
The main shareholders didnt sell and Directors didnt suspend the shares or call in administrators before this RNS so there was/is a deal to be done. This RNS forces Orion to write down all or part of the loan.
Can we expect the sp to goto?
With all that water I'm surprised that initial drilling didn't create a dramatic water display. They mining an underground river or something!!!
This and the last messages have all the signs of someone buying this - Orion or friend- cheap or free. I have seen this countless times with AIM stocks. Bad news after bad news then company sells for a song - usually to CEO - then all of a sudden after a year or so things get better! Whatever happens we lose! I find it very suspicious that both the feasability study and Orions due diligence could be so bad that all of this wasn’t considered.
