Earthling, I doubt it is as easy as waving a magic wand, I suspect any new suppliers will need due diligence over their supply chain to make sure that they do not in turn have US suppliers. That's why the supply chain is so complex. I also imagine that some are waiting to see what concrete proposals the EU come up with before they commit one way or the other.

Even if they had managed to resolve the supply chain, all parties will need to ensure that the JCPOA will survive. If it doesn't and the Iranians carry ou their threat to restart their weapons programme, sanctions will not just be US sanctions and contract will be frustrated even if the Iranians are happy to proceed.

Big Boss..

The company has RNS's this in the AGM statement:

" Whilst none of Westminster's proposed equipment or services is subject to any existing or proposed sanctions, the US action has implications for finance and banking and has created uncertainty in the international business community."

___

So the key issue that needs to be addressed, is not with the specifics of our contract,..but is more "global,"..... as in,... will any of our suppliers/partners withdraw from the project because they don't want to be "black balled" by the USA?

Aug 4th is fast approaching,.... and that will be a catalyst for some sort of action by the EU and the USA.

I am starting to think that PF and his clowns have given up on the Iran deal. There have been no updates and surely new suppliers could have been found by now.

what ever happens from here we are at or near the bottom re SP.

Personally not convinced why the US sanctions would stop this deal looking at what they have said etc.

if it was just a supply chain issue then surely this could have been sorted by now, I'm guessing its more of a political stability issue rather than a supply chain issue?

I am not sure if this has ever been posted? A good summary of the political position (as was) vis a vis the large scale business opportunities in the Iran aviation sector.

Counterpoint

Iran’s claims fall within the jurisdiction of Iran-U.S. Claims Tribunal and the JCPOA Dispute Settlement Mechanism, thereby removing them from the ICJ’s jurisdiction. The Tribunal decides whether it has jurisdiction, given that Iran and the US authorized the Tribunal to interpret and apply the Algiers Accords, which involve forward-looking obligations such as a prohibition on the United States from interfering in Iran’s internal affairs.

Assessment

Our assessment is that the US is in violation of the Algiers Accords as President Trump has called for regime change in Iran. We believe that the signatories of the JCPOA should enforce the agreement’s provision to settle disputes instead of approaching the ICJ. We feel that reimposition of US sanctions will be counterproductive as Iran could trigger multiple conflicts in the Persian Gulf.

Interesting development...
Wed 13:09
'Iran has lodged a complaint with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against the United States' reimposition of sanctions.

The US breached the terms of the agreement intended to limit Iran’s nuclear programme when they withdrew in 2018.....'

Ironic after Trump's 'advce' to May to sue the EU over Brexit 8o)

Foxy - hope you are well.

Time for bed surely? You have used a capital A during a sentence.

You should only be using these at the beginning of a sentence.

It's so easy to pick, isn't it?

Just watched SBC in The Dictator - so I’m up to speed on all the current geo politics. So much resonated. Didn’t see Putin in it - but they never did it - so perhaps that was a cunning plan. 50p in three months sounds great. Love predictions. If that’s predictable - i’ll Assume we’re back in a closed period and options will just have to suffice. Shame.

If assuming the same market cap as previously at £28M (as opposed to the present £12M)

Then multiply the share price by 2.5

Still no reflection of progress though

Just sayin like.

possibly but IMO this won't go any where until things in Iran become clear, its certainly not happening yet re confirmation from EU that its business as usual with Iran.

true..but as always i have to point out that when the share price was 35p there were many fewer shares...so looking at market cap it was £28m, now £12m....so yes your point is still valid, but it was closer to twice the valuation back in mid 16 (your 35p date) rather than 3.5x that the share price indicates.
