Well the $4.5m tech contract wasn’t exactly minor was it.

Granted it’s not the airport contracts that we want to see, but it’s not chump change, and was being negotiated alongside the Iran airport contract, so not to be overlooked. Plus, it’s kept the lights on whilst the Iran issues have continued to bubble

A year or two! They haven't signed a major MS contract since Lunghi....and that fell into their lap.
They are pathetic.

Don’t worry about it. What’s a year here or there? It probably ties in better if everything is a year or two out. More in keeping.

No idea what the broadcast says, it doesn't look like it's finished yet. There is news below about the third terminal (the largest) and that Iranians cancelled some other contract delayed because of Trump!!!!

By bne IntelliNews April 2, 2018
The Netherlands Airport Consultants (NACO) has released its latest designs for Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Airport City (IKAC) as part of a plan to turn the remote outpost into an air-and-land free trade zone, according to information posted on social media on April 1.

IKAC was planned more than a decade ago, but due to the imposition of sanctions and the slowness of foreign companies in looking to work with Iran the project has hit several buffers. The pace of progress has increased in recent years with the second terminal, named Salam, near completion and the Tehran Metro now connecting to the airport, albeit only during daylight hours.

The company said in an announcement on its website that the plan to develop the project would take several years. IKAC, it added, would be built in phases with work on the Iran Shahr (Iran City) international terminal commencing in the next year.

Imam Khomeini Airport, located 25 kilometres south of Tehran, is undergoing a $2.8bn expansion. The ambition is to one day make it a Middle East/Central Asia airport hub that can compete with Persian Gulf hubs. When completed, its new terminals should be able to hanlde 20 million passengers per year.

The masterplan for IKAC includes the creation of a 1,500-hectare free trade zone and a 2,500-hectare special economic zone within a 13,700-hectare area surrounding the site.

“Defining the first phase of the airport city while ensuring a flexible and easily phasable development plan was our key focus. We ensured that all of the different elements of our work were explicitly included in all development proposals while keeping the short term and long term development objectives in mind,” the company said

The airport has faced several setbacks in recent years. French airport development firm Bouygues pulled out last summer apparently due to financial and political issues. But Iran’s Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Asghar Fakhrieh-Kashan dismissed that claim, Iran Labour News Agency reported. “Cancellation of the agreement was by no means related to banking restrictions,” he reportedly said at the time.

The minister said the deal was cancelled in spring by the Iranians because the French firm was failing to keep up with the schedule.

Bouygues was meant to work with NACO, but, the Iranian side said, neglected to communicate with the Dutch. “NACO immediately held a tender [to replace the French company] and dozens of international companies participated. We will soon choose a qualified company,” Fakhrieh-Kashan said.

TBH I cannot see PF and TB flying all the way out to Africa to finalise a contract and then when they get there saying to the client, oh okay when the client says we’ve decided not to sign just yet, but can you please sign here for us and leave it with us. .

For a start, any contract would need a start date, would they leave that blank for the client to fill any date they wanted to? Or leave them to make any alterations to the contract document that they pleased before counter-signing?

If I was a betting man I’d say there is probably a fully signed contract but one that requires some sort of letter exchange for it to be effective. Eg when a firm opening date for a new terminal or airport is known.

excellent plan , I'm tempted to buy a few more cause it is coming up to crunch time so PIs adding to the pressure will only help to concentrate their minds.

They know that if there is a PI sell off, it will decimate the share and that in turn royally buggers up any cash rasing exercise [and the CL repayment] which in turn will adversly affect their ability to actually do any airport management - unless they find another big investor.

I see the problem being they live in fear of the potential clients and afriad to drive these mous.- which is why they all take so long if ever.
Re this contract one - Balders needs to get on the blower and tell em, sign within x weeks or we will have to concentrate on our other opps etc

TBH, if they RNS's saying we told em they ran out of time so we've pulled out, I'd defo buy more cause that's proper management

Its CLOSE OR CRUNCH time Mike

Don't you just hate it when that happens Tosh, you spend ages composing the perfect message then just after you post it you spot the typo and just have to correct it. Mind you he probably does like his pockets as they'll be stuffed full of cash all the time at our expense !

Lol. Thought i could smell something in the MK air :)

You and Foxy should meet up for a TGI’s at the MK stadium, you might find me in the car park dogging :)

I hope now everybody who has slated Foxy for his incessant moaning will see it in a different light. Nobody likes to hear bad things said about their investment decisions. It’s human nature. But we all need to remind ourselves this is AIM. CEO’s sell you the dream but often deliver you a nightmare. They aren’t here to deliver shareholder value, but to raise cheap finance and like their own pockets.

WSG are no different.

Law of averages says though, these cunts will deliver something one day:)-

Tell me Slip what have they actually delivered on in terms of these big contracts, I’m sorry but I’m just being honest as I’ve chased the dream of these supposed big contracts, complete bollocks. I had a go at foxy but now I’m in his camp! Of course I hope I’m proved wrong but I’m looking at the facts and not my daydreams
