Yep mate, the purple and blue rinse ladies have cast us aside for the ideals of exotic foreign potentates. The simple elderly Brit ish yeoman, stout of heart and girth, don’t get s look in nowadays.

My mate Terry next door is full blown African/Caribbean exiled king who moved all the way from north London and in with our neighbour Becca to help fund numerous implants and also acts as her unpaid personal fitness coach.

Greek Adonis types are old hat hbob. Round these parts the 17 year old ‘ African Prince’ met on a Kenyan holiday. The local Tory club blue rinse mob snap em up and often say that they are truly in love. Then the portfolio selling starts. It is a story as old as time itself.

For all we know some little old widow may have instructed her lawyer to empty her and her late husband's ISAs and be running off into the sunset with a young Greek sex god...

H,
If it's the crown selling Hansource shares that dropped in their lap it is no reflection on how an investors see Wres. simply HMG realising an asset because that is the Law governing this matter. We also know [roughly] how much pain we have got to get through.
However, if it is not Hansource, by definition it is a big holder or lots of them co-incidentally dropping millions into the market over a long period of time and seemingly having had a pretty dramatic change of heart insofar as Wres goes. In this case, we do not know how long the sells may last.
It may not alter anything but I know which I prefer

It is a jolly old quandary, but even if we knew the seller would it really alter anything?

Seems like more buys than sells today and only one 3M sell?

Could we see a large late reported sell and then end of the seller?

Geng,

I agree it matters not who is selling them but I have more than a passing interest in why. In truth I am less bothered about the crown following their protocol but a bit nervous about another holder[s?] persistently droppng millions of shares into the market most days for months on end and that is why I would like to resolve it one way or another. You saw them, or something I agree looks mighty like them, May this year. Therefore, it cannot be Hansource Investments Ltd as they were dissolved on the 28th June 2016 [Companies House] albeit K3 has established Bona Vacantia deny any knowledge of Hansource.

My best guess and I accept it is just that, is that the Government Legal Department instructed a Broker around May of this year. I have no idea why Bona Vacantia do not know about this.

In the absence of hard facts, it seems to me if it waddles like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it's usually a duck. The only question is how much of the 333m duck have we munched through to date? For those not partial to duck, I am very open to other theories.

RE: Hansource

As far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter whether Hansource or Bona Vacantia hold/held and are selling the shares.

They are more likely in the hands of a Broker who will only notify once the sale is complete. I'm certain they are being sold as I was lucky enough to see them appear on the ask on L2 at 13:50 on the 23rd May.

By the time I'd posted on iii they had disappeared. I'm fairly sure this was finger trouble by a broker who is selling them and accidentally made the DMA sale visible.

Below is my post and all I can assume is the 18M difference was some sort of commission to cover the transaction.

"Anyone got any ideas about that 315,333,333 shares just came onto the ask at 13:50 today? I’m guessing that’s something to do with the Hansource shares (333,333,333)? "

Once that notification RNS is released showing the sale is complete the brakes really will be off.

They said they had no notification of it being dissolved. No trace of Hansource in their system. I sure it has been dissolved, but The Crown Bona Vacantia has no knowledge of this, nor were they interested in going to look for them.

The number is on www.gov.uk

Triple bottom now reached
Today 14:58
I posted a short while ago that I had a vague recollection that shares will usually hit their bottom price level 3 times before a sustained improvement, at the time we had dropped to the current level twice, today makes the third occasion of touching the recent low, so I am hopeful of a mo e northwards in the not to distant future maybe even before we get the next RNS which is likely to be the gold at the very end of the month.

I hope all of you that are able to make the site visit have s great time, unfortunately I will be working, but I would greatly appreciate any feedback that you can provide.

Onwards and upwards we will get there in the end good luck to all long term holders we deserve the profits we are likely to make over the coming months and if we hold for the dividends years.

Phone them. Ask them if they have been informed that Hansource has been dissolved.

That is what I did.

Hansource
Today 14:41
I think several posts have noted that Hansource do not appear on the Unclaimed Assets Listing published by the Bona Vacantia Department and & therefore the crown could not be flogging off the 333m shares. It turns out to be a bit more convoluted than that. I wrote to the Legal Department and asked if they published a list of the assets of dissolved companies deemed bona vacantia held by the crown. The reply today:

"We do not publish a list of dissolved companies’ non-cash assets. Our primary goal, on being informed that a company has been dissolved while still owning an asset or assets, is to either sell (if an asset has a realisable value) or disclaim. We do not aim to hold on to assets for any length of time and have no available list of what we do hold from time to time."

Clearly, this is not proof-positive that it is the crown behind the sells but equally we certainly cannot rule it out. As to the TR1, as nothing materialised on dissolution of Hansource and transfer to the crown I am not surprised we are not seeing one as the holding is possibly sold down.

A simple view.
There was reference to Cervantes yesterday, However, I used to enjoy reading Alexandre Dumas (there are far more books than just the Three Musketeers and The Man in the Iron Mask) and he made a statement:
'To learn is not to know; there are the learners and the learned. Memory makes the one, philosophy the other.'
I agree with that and I think its best to consider things in the whole, go meet people discuss and not just look at numbers, there is a need for a holistic approach to realising what is going on. I also take the view that looking at this investment as whole, its crackerjack.
