Another company hiding behind nonsense so they don’t have to give investors the full picture.

And if news was incoming. There would be more than one £6000 trade. Jeees.

I don't expect courtesy to us small shareholders. The BoD have allegiance only to JM who controls this co, but like you I do find the 'loan' more than a bit dubious and the absence of any disclosure on the plans for the licences frustrating.

whoah nelly im absolutely fuming here with this sickener of an rns . this is a company that prides itself on due diligence and corporate governance yet has a group of clients depositing cash more than the value of the company itself . i just had a look at the watch and wager website and at the bottom it says licensed and regulated by the north dakota racing commission and i wonder if it was these that flagged up initial concerns or is the dispute solely between webis and client. also it says on the rns webis are refunding 10 million us d due to a commercial dispute will the dispute be going to court or arbitration in the future wherby webis has a chance to reclaim 800 thousand dollars that webis has to pay out i assume profit or winnings.if this large syndicate has been trading over a long period perhaps a very large profit will be factored into this years turnover year ending november 2018 that might soften the blow also as i said previously webis should be taking bets as soon as possible from the 2 new states that have commenced legalised betting on the watch and wager website and i see on the rns that they are doing some new updates on the main website so maybe they have listened to me but either way im gutted with the carry on dyor and board of webis please show a bit of courtesy to your shareholders and update us more frequently cant get much worse than this debacle

Now all they have to do is replace that ten mill they were 'persuaded ' to repay bythat nice man with the Italian name and all his extended family!!
I note that they reckon the cost next year will only be $0.8M but that's probably all their profit unless they start making the licences pay their way. Wish I could see why this as a wonderful time to average down but I can't.

The drop is excessive imo - an early bounce next week I think. I agree I think Webis could do really well - a few more updates wouldn't go amiss though!

but JM hasn't exactly done much for this in the past. It may be this is just what was needed to get him involved, but as I posted a day or so back, it doesn't have a very good name in the gambling industry in US and not done anything to exploit its licences. Might be time to put a 'sell by' date on my holding .

So I'm reading this as: there has been dodgy dealings involving a syndicate and upon discovery of this we have chosen to cease our relationship with the syndicate and refunded the money to fully terminate the arrangement. Sounds like a pretty black and white case there.

The SP was at 1p before the news in the US of deregulation on 16th May 2018 RNS and that news sent the SP rocketing to an intra-day high of 8.5p

https://www.investegate.co.uk/webis-holdings-plc--web-/rns/webis-welcomes-us-supreme-court-decision/201805160700041925O/

5 months later and today´s RNS states...
"WatchandWager has no option other than to assume, with immediate effect, the cessation of wagering services to a syndicate (who are unable to be named under confidentiality restrictions) following a commercial dispute. Consequently, WatchandWager have refunded the syndicate's player balances, totaling approximately US$ 10.0 million. In the absence of any new deposit funding, under regulation, no further wagers can be accepted from this syndicate. While this development will have no effect on the year-end 2017 financial statements due to be published in November 2018, the board anticipates that the reduction in gross margin for the financial year ending in May 2019 will be approximately US$ 0.8 million. Post refund, the current cash on the Webis Balance Sheet stands at just over US$ 3.1 million. "

https://www.investegate.co.uk/webis-holdings-plc--web-/rns/update-on-usa-trading-and-licensed-gaming-strategy/201810190700025377E/

So, in fact now Webis are worse off now than they were when the SP was 1p. Only the hope of a big deal in the US is propping the SP up. Today´s news of a dispute with an unnamed syndicate resulting in the loss of $10m from the balance sheet is bad news and could adversely affect future deals depending on the cause of the dispute.

1p target.
