I don't see it quite as optimistically as you norville2. But at least we have not leapt in price here ahead of legalisation and can now hope not to sink back below1p. The licences will retain a value and could find a buyer if the co chose to sell up and become a cash shell, which may actually be attractive for Mr Mellon. So my view now is a firm hold.

well norville further to your article below that would only make the existing pari mutuel betting model of watch and wager 10 times more valuable so its winner winner chicken dinner here either way

Does this effect Webis? : The US Department of Justice called for wider restrictions on all gambling on the internet.
Bookies such as Paddy Power Betfair, William Hill and 888 Holdings fell between 1.5-7% after the US regulator reversed its 2011 opinion that made only sports betting online illegal under the Wire Act.
The 2011 reading of the federal law, which came into effect in 1961, prohibits certain types of gambling in the US including sports betting.
But the regulator now says the provisions under the act must now be considered in tandem with the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.
The opinion by the regulator's Office of Legal Counsel, dated November 2, 2018 but only disclosed last night, added that the new interpretation of the law's scope will likely be contested in courts.
Gambling companies had been pulling off deals to move into the US market after a Supreme court ruling in May took the US a step closer to legal sports betting in numerous states, perhaps nationwide, rather than select states like Nevada - home to gambling capital Las Vegas.
GVC Holdings in July agreed to set up an online betting platform in the US with hotel and casino operator MGM Resorts.

William Hill in September signed a 25-year sports betting deal with casino operator Eldorado Resorts.
And last year Paddy Power Betfair has agreed to combine its US operations with fantasy sports business FanDuel.

so more huge news this weekend is the newspaper report stating that the uk government is looking into restricting the use of credit cards for gambling purposes so looks usa looks like the new frontier for growth for uk companies and webis are uniquely positioned to capitalise . the current valuation of webis at 1.9p is a fair valuation of the watch and wager website and its growth potential along with its bricks and mortar racetrack sacramento and its offices in kentucky and all future goodwill. the current value of the licences is not factored into the current share price at all imo.888 holdings share price went up this week somebody suggested a tie up with a us conglomerate but 888 is valued at hundreds of million s whereas webis could be taken out for 50 million imo a very minimal price to pay for entrance into numerous growing states.also the timescale here must be a takeover within 6 to eight weeks mr mellon to take the company private or alternatively as ive said all along webis to go it alone creating its own fixed odds betting website parallel with watch and wager website these shares will rocket overnight on any deal too late for anyone to get in then so buy small amount what you can afford and hold dont day trade wait for outcome it has to happen and quick. dyor all my own opinion of course but i feel webis have all angles covered for a positive result so steady climb from tomorrow please 1.9 to 15p in 24 months

taken from the GAN website as per the following liberium note
and i quote
;USA ONLINE GAMING OPENING UP ;;
last may new jersey successfully challenged the us supreme court, the 1992 professional and amateur sports protection act that prohibited sports betting .new jersey argued that congress exceeded its authority when it passed the law that stops states from authorising sports betting . the challenge was seen as part of a wider challenge by us states over the power congress exerts nationally. since then new jersey pennsylvania delaware missippi rhode island and west virginia have legalised sports betting after the supreme court decision.
IN addition lawmakers in kentucky missouri ohio tennessee and virginia have already filed bills to allow sports betting and a further 30 states are thought to be considering legislation. the motivation is to regulate current illegal activity and to collect tax revenue ;;;;to help offset budget defecits ;;;;
therefore local casinos and national operators are all looking at how to launch and scale online offeringsin these states mthis is fuelled by evidence that early entrants into us online gambling markets build and sustain high market shares to be continued;;;;;;;;;;; next post

I personally think it’s been played with for fun today
However as the USA gambling landscape
Has changed very positively for what
Webis and watch and wager it may be a
Takeover partnership target once New York
And California approve legalised gaming

So what you're saying is as long as you wait you won't lose money. Seems like a good deal to me buy now and hope news lands to send this orbital or wait for a spike a few eeks down the line and get out with a bit of profit.

Lovely stuff

My advise, wait, buy sub 2, sit on your hands and wait for it to happen again. As it will happen again! Once a month like clockwork
People don’t learn or research just jump in on the bandwagon and get shafted

People are really going to get sucked in today like they always do with an artificial rise, then people coming up with all sorts of speculation whereas if they researched the company, they would know the answers. I have been here years and there will be no buy out, partner maybe, but not until California is granted, this is why since last years US legislators changing the law Webis has stayed at sub 2p for many months. If you read the RNS you will see what is going to drive value here

Why would our CEO want to sell given he owns such a large chunk and is a billionaire? If anything he would take it private

Mannnn it’s same old that’s why I don’t play here. Just sit on my hands. Or the clever ones will buy sub 2p and just be patient for exactly this to happen, sell, leave it a day or two and buy back sub 2p again. Easy money
Nothing will move until California decision the whole company is based now on sentiment around that imo

Dvharrison 100% right. Undervalued here without shadow of a doubt, and all will hinge on California’s licence, but we’ve been here many times, it’s athe bored market play thing Webis and with very little free float you get these swings on very small volume
Don’t hold your breath for a continued rise ;-)
As much as I want it, I’m also a realist on Webis
