I can only apologise, I bought £25.00 worth today and look what happened to the SP! 🙄
Good disruptor news at Tribe Tech today, see the Vela twitter feed. April 6 a good SIPP or ISA opportunity for long termers to average down and newbies to buy in. Alternatively Leeds Building Society have some good interest rates on offer…..
Mr Brent needs to share some news to keep us all away from the building society.
I’m glad the raise was a notional value higher than current SP having been savaged by placing sand discounted issues elsewhere. This is mandatory RNS on something already announced so no excitement for sure. Invested companies trundling along ok, need something transformative though and/or action on the CDT news or at least it’s SP jumping somewhat.
I’m thinking I could retire on my various shares round about age 112 at the current rate.
Past excitement that should have said
I'm ast excitement ...just disappointment for the last 4 years I've held..not sure why I've held but the BOD must have a plan...mustn't they?
Shre prices often reset to the raise price - I believe that the raise price here is at a premium to current share price at 0.017 - therefore maybe an upwards tick? 0.017 still a long way off the NBV here so still not great news but maybe explains the lack of excitement / disappointment.
Does the RNS today mean the share amounts in circulation has been diluted further or was it already accounted for? Normally if a share is diluted the SP goes down but ...at the moment...it's reached tge heady heights of geing exactly where it was exactly a year ago...Vela the share that likes to surprise.
Thanks Hog Bog - I wasnt following the twitter account - I am now.

Investment company news is 90% investee news.
I'm not entirely sure how throwing more and more money at a share that's dropped by some 90% over the last couple of years could be considered a no brainer although I concede that it's definitely undervalued, in a literal sense. It's just there's no news flow, the only thing of interest for the last couple of years has been the SGSC/CDT business which produced nothing more than a brief p&d, a failed attempt to get involved in that £15mil scheme and a steady dwindling away of value in the rest of the portfolio/selling at low prices to keep the BoD getting paid
I can afford to hold and have been doing for years - I just wonder if I'll ever actually see a return of any sort.
I look forward to be being told to sell up and move on or stop talking the share down shortly (although with single digit trades most days and the odd big dump from a bored holder every now and then it seems to be doing a decent enough job of that on it's own)
No brainier at these prices as long you can afford to hold, picked up just over 7 million last week for just a little more than £1000
Always try to be optimistic, but if this drops to 0.013 it is one of three things: 1) shocking 2) shockingly undervalued. 3) a great time to buy or if a holder average down.
Answers on a postcard. ISA time if anyone feels lucky.
It’s all quiet on chat and trading right now. The half decent news is that CDT opened and closed today at near identical prices and the volume was a click above the moving average. So reasonable level of intrinsic interest and a break even price for Vela stabilised. A little so,I’d news there would likely improve our lot here. The other investee businesses seem never to affect our price irrespective. GLA
SAN DIEGO and LONDON, March 19, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Conduit Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: CDT) ("Conduit Pharmaceuticals" or "Conduit" or the “Company”) today announced the appointment of Dr. Joanne Holland as Chief Scientific Officer.
Dr. Holland brings over 20 years of experience to the CSO role at Conduit, having amassed expertise across the entire development spectrum. This includes a deep knowledge base in identifying drugs that can be applied across multiple disease states, combining research and commercial skills to advance drugs to market, and working with premier scientific thought leaders. She has a specific focus in solid-form technology and its associated intellectual property, having held leadership positions at publicly traded companies in this space, as well as consulting roles for several pharmaceutical companies on all matters relating to solid-form technology. She has successfully shepherded multiple solid-form candidates from discovery stage into the clinic, and is the author of over 50 solid-form intellectual property patents. Dr. Holland earned a PhD in chemistry from the University of Leeds, UK, which was sponsored by Pfizer, Inc., before starting her career at companies including Millennium Pharmaceuticals and Stylacats Limited.
In addition, Conduit has engaged Dr. Jeff Lindeman to consult on intellectual property strategies as part of the Company’s research and development of its solid-form candidates. An international speaker, Dr. Lindeman has authored book chapters on patent strategies relating to pharmaceutical solid-state forms. Prior to opening his consulting firm Two Notch Solutions, LLC, in 2009, Dr. Lindeman founded and then successfully sold J.A. Lindeman & Co. His role with the Company is as a consultant, not legal counsel.
“The appointment of Jo as Chief Scientific Officer underscores Conduit’s commitment to optimizing the value of our current intellectual property assets, while concurrently fostering the creation of new intellectual property,” said Dr. David Tapolczay, Chief Executive Officer. “Jo and Jeff have over 20 years of experience working together, and their new leadership roles will significantly enhance our intellectual property state, strategically positioning Conduit for future out-licensing opportunities.”

How is Vela dead?
Oops what happened here then? This died a few years ago. Looks like the same old posters trying to escape and averaging down. You would have done a lot better selling 2 years ago and investing in boring Microsoft.
Before any one jumps down my throat ...its my analysis....im not a funda ,so our angles may vary
A long cup and small handle forming over at $cdt ,3.70 is break out ,IF it breaks in the late 3s early 4s
https://invst.ly/13-yca
It's exactly that, CDT goes up and away, so does Vela. CDT stays at this level and below, sadly, so does Vela.
Diamond hands CDT is my analysis. GLA.
TA is not the holy grail ,gospel ,just a means of identifying the potential ,the possibilities with other confluence metrics coming together..in essence what one is doing is limiting their risk and putting oneself in a probable poistion of execution
I'm not sure technical analysis applies to this stock. Is it not as simple as if cdt pushed past $5 dollars vela will also move up?
