Seems that looking at other boards on this site it seems to have degenerated into a *****ing fest at times. ps glad that your life is so sad that you feel you have to comment on my posts. On some days my Halifax share dealing account shows some movement on price which differs from that when trading was suspended back in December. On other days it reverts to the price at suspension. Unsurprisingly I cannot trade them but if there is still anyone out there could you give an explanation for this?
A group of Travelzest shareholders is determined to continue the fight against what they see as “the new face of corporate theft.” They appear to be making some progress, with Grant Thornton UK acknowledging by e-mail that the conduct of Travelzest directors is being investigated. That group includes Non-Executive Chairman Christopher Howell; Non-Executive Director Nigel Jenkins; Group Finance Director Adrian Cobbold and Non-Executive Director & Company Secretary Richard Hall. Matt Coen, who represents the TVZ Action Group, says the shareholders are trying to bring “this new face of corporate theft to the attention of the public.” He describes the scenario as follows: “This is an abuse of the insolvency proceedings where Directors can effectively steal companies from shareholders and not be held accountable. This is not the 1st time this has happened and sadly it will probably not be the last. It is a loophole in the current law and a lot of other people will lose their savings if these immoral Directors are not brought to task.” In the case of Travelzest, Coen describes how the shareholders’ group views the process that saw their investmentreduced to nothing: “In a nutshell, 'Aldenham Grange Trust' bought Travelzest's debt from Barclays using one of their companies. They then demanded the debt be paid in full and when Travelzest could not pay the entire amount, they bought Travelzest's assets at a massively discounted price using the name of a different one of their companies.” The shareholders’ group believes “This was planned and stage managed for months.” Coen says following the sale of the company, shareholders and unsecured creditors were offered an amount that would have reduced a £2000 investment in Travelzest to £6. “The shareholders are disgusted and insulted by this offer and they continue to bring to light the injustice of this sordid fiasco,” says Coen. “They are now 'tweeting' the British Prime Minister and they have also received official letters from '10 Downing Street' acknowledging the situation. Shareholders also have meetings planned for the end of the month with their Local Ministers of Parliament.” Follow us here: Comments Jamie 2014-01-28 20:07:28 How long before itravel2000 has to close its doors? The current "senior" management team could easily mess up a two car funeral. This company is now the armpit of the online travelindustry with zero chance of surviving the horrible reputation it has established by stealing from shareholders, robbing long term employees of severances, leaving mothers on maternity leave jobless, and employees on sick leave with no benefits! The Directors plan to hide behind some sealed court documents backfired. It seems no one is going away until justice is served.... Was just a tool for them to get the shareholders Action Group to stop criminal proceedings against them, it did not work so hopefully justice will prevail. "POWER TO THE PEOPLE"
It's literally a farce oil riches...ie something stpid like if you had £50,000 k's worth they would give you £50's worth in the new shell. Insulting. Thank god I was not in deep
Why didn't the group accept the cva? You would have got something back and this company could have been used as a shell to trade again.
SO LONG ALL. OFF TO PLY MY TRADE IN OTHER RISKY VENTURES> HOPE YOU ALL HAVE BETTER LUCK IN YOUR FUTURE INVESTMENTS.
Would the last person to leave please switch off the lights.
My CVA money went to charity
They offered me £13 for a £2k investment through the CVA nothing but stupidity !!!!!!
Well I happen to think that something would have been better than nothing!!!!!!!!!!
22 January 2014 Travelzest PLC ("Travelzest" or the "Company") Company Voluntary Arrangement and Resignation of Adviser Further to the announcement on 20 December 2013, the Joint Administrators can now confirm that it will not be possible to achieve an exit from administration via a Company Voluntary Arrangement ("CVA"). For the CVA and associated issue of share capital to have taken place it required 75% of existing shareholders to vote in favour. A group of shareholders which claims to represent 28% of the Company's shareholding advised that it intended to oppose the rescue of the Company via a CVA. As such, the parties considering funding the rescue, which would have resulted in a small dividend to unsecured creditors and a diluted but tradeable shareholding for existing shareholders, have withdrawn their offer on the basis that the necessary favourable vote would likely not be achieved. As a result, there will now be no return to creditors and the Joint Administrators advise that they intend to exit the administration via a dissolution of the Company once they have fulfilled their statutory duties. Resignation of Nominated Adviser The Joint Administrators further confirm the resignation of the Company's nominated adviser, Sanlam Securities UK Limited, with immediate effect. If, within one month of today's date, the Company has failed to appoint a replacement nominated adviser, the admission of its AIM securities will be cancelled. The Joint Administrators do not intend to appoint a replacement nominated adviser.
