The good news is that they’ve not RNS’d any bad news on the “significant” software sales contract, so they must still be confident of landing it in the next month or two.
The last update did state the contract was expected to land in late Q4 so that means March to me
The days tick by and not bankrupt yet
Still a nil valuation on trakm8
Definitely good news for ML. Still not convinced there is a deal to be had, because I don't think a price will be agreed between the two CEOs i.e. too far apart. Fingers crossed though (as always)
ML's SP was up more than 20% today, following an impressive TU. As Trak's main investor - and potential bidder? - this is good to see.
Plenty of articles about the cost of insurance over the weekend and telematics
Ticker got a few mentions
Https://www.ft.com/content/8177797b-04c0-4caa-9521-29da0ad4466f
Worth reading
Forgot about the contract - it would be good to read the signing plus a double digit increase in the percentage of connections - heres hoping
That is really interesting
I have watched their iconnections closely in the past they have always matched the rns data exactly
Clearly I have a vested interest and want it to be good news
On the car insurance market
The whole UK industry is losing 10%
But ticker as an example I assume must be making 5%+
So telemetry equals better insurance returns
Thus those losing money will have to increase their prices to cover bad drivers
Good drivers will look for other options so the whole thing becomes a self fulfilling push towards individual pricing based on telematics
Interestingly ticker appear to cancel your policy if you are a bad driver immediately
Look at the trustpulot feedback people moaning and crying that they have unfairly treated blah blah blah
This in my view linked directly to ticker best in class large claim results which was quote in the interview
Thanks again for sharing
Still waiting on the contract
Almost in p11 now
Good find. It was only 324,000 connections at 24 November.
This was posted on Linked In
"With our extensive experience in connectivity, boasting a network of over 350,000 connected devices and accumulating data from over 3 billion road miles, we have established ourselves as experts in the field. "

The key thing in that statement is the number of connections......if accurate.
Just checked - initial contract runs for 3 years (so Nov 2024 renewal if it happens) and their privacy policy states only Trakm8 as handling connected data. So appears a great bit of indirect news for us.
Plus the new older driver product will be a winner
Ticker use trak to the best of my knowledge
I
He is an interesting and engaging guy that Richard King knows his onions
Very interesting - I hope Trak feel some of that
TrakM8 are back at the CV show
"We are delighted to announce our return to the Commercial Vehicle Show this year, where we will be taking centre stage in hall 5 at stand 5E91. Experience the forefront of #fleet technology as we unveil our latest cutting-edge innovations."
Looks like they have a modest pitch; which seems more appropriate than their former ones. I wonder what their latest cutting-edge tech will be.

What are you thoughts? Post 2018 profit warning, trak still invested heavily in this show - until covid. I always thought it was too much money given the circumstances, and stopping was a good thing. A return signals that they now have the cash to splash (so a good thing, if the money is used wisely)
You too, hope 2024 is good for us all.
Think Trakm8 may rise if the software contract is signed, so perhaps the NAV 38p broker price. If not, we'll be around this price.
Happy new year everyone
Trakm8 share price this time next year??
Any other shares that are worth a look, naturally everyone needs to do your own reasrch.
Bae for me
Yes, a merry Xmas to you too, and thanks for all your informative posts.
Let's hope 2024 is when the "jam" finally arrives....
Thanks - and have a good xmas all
Must be something different - according to Trak's RNS dated 30/3/23, the Iceland contract was extended till 2027.
Is this something to be worried about - in the WhatVan magazine (which can't spell Trakm8 - aka Trackm8), there is an article that Iceland have chosen Lightfoot for driver training/feedback (page 6). I thought Trakm8 delivered this service. Perhaps it is different.
