Remember reading some of your post when the ford deal was on the cards. Myo? Another poster who lived near the plant in Washington if memory serves was a regular poster too. All long gone. And like you say the dream with it. I know the board have been criticised over the years (rightly or wrongly) but ultimately the failure of this business and SEV is IMHO. One thing. Cost. It's products are just too expensive .. China will have this industry wrapped up I less than 2 years. Just the like the British car maker (rover jag tvr etc) we are just too expensive and other country's can do it for so much less.
Still worth a punt trading but missed the boat at .16.
Hope it can reward some value to its holders

Something definitely brewing ......facts are TAN trying to flog snorkel and if this is the case you got to ask yourself what they are going to do with the proceeds? also the latest from SEV. was that they raised some short term funds a month or so ago, they must have some more long term plans....... it seems lots of options here.NOW we have the sharp rise for the second day here so the market predict some positive outcome lets hope it is the case and not just another false dawn......GLA.........

SEVUS IPO?
9 Aug '13
Is it possible that a really strong performance from Tesla - US electric sports car manufacturer - is encouraging people to think that SEV may look again at an IPO? www.ft.com/cms/s/0/ffc043e8-ffbb-11e2-b990-00144feab7de.html

Does anyone know when and where the 2013 AGM in Tanfield is?

I mind 2 or 3 years ago the share price dropped suddenly and found that Tanfield management couldn't be bothered getting out of bed on the day it was supposed to be happening.

We're running out of money and no one wants to buy snorkel. Cash call coming (again) as Darren kell needs 12k a week in wages gl all . As for SEV it has never shown a jot of progress/profit.

what's left?
24 Jul '13
Question - if they do sell Snorkel what's left? SEVUS is one we know about but hard to value. Looking at the website there's something called Pop-Up but that seems to be a relatively low level activity. So does anyone know what TAN will be if it shifts Snorkel - other than a source of bonus payments to the undeserving BoD?

It makes awful reading. I used to be in here in the old days when TAN was at 85p, it went all the way up to 209p, then dropped like a stone to 3p. Buy ULT (seriously do), and make some of your money back, this share is a complete waste of money, and it pains me to think that people have been so patient...it wont ever come back...ever...DYOR

That is all I can say. They cannot communicate with the market and have let us all down. I reckon the next we will hear will be in October with the 1st half results.

I must admit I'm tempted to leave too! The only thing that's keeping me is the SEVUS stake which just isn't valued in the SP any more. So it's like having a free call option. But if TAN is so bust.....? What's the point?

Not good! Demand has improved but TAN had to throttle back on production. The last fund raising was clearly deeply inadequate. SEVUS is diluting with no IPO in sight. And they are planning a distressed sale of Snorkel. Hardly surprising it's the lead faller today. Perhaps selling the SEVUS stake to a private equity investor would pull in cash to re-energise he rest of the company.

"In order to fully exploit the significant opportunities available in 2013 - and to return to sustainable profitability - Tanfield requires additional working capital, beyond the £2.1m placing in April 2013."

How is that supposed to be interpreted? With a 14 million loss and only 2 million of cash they presumably need to return to sustainable profitability to continue as a going concern.

A bridge loan does imply short term funding. I suspect another IPO is on the cards here. Pity.
