Xilinx name popping up all over in new invovations and cost savings I'm so pleased our company is aligned/partnered/working with them. Another major step today. Gla

Jack was brought in probably with his financial background. He has extensive experience of building and growing businesses globally and his early career was spent in consultancy and banking.
I would think with his contacts and experience a plan is being worked on as we speak. And i would think a solution will be forthcoming in the next few weeks. SEE probably knew what we know a year or so ago. Taking over the World in DMS comes at a price with the rewards further down the line once production kicks in.
Theres only a few options available and we will find out what path they have taken very soon IMO.
Todays news will only add numbers & costs to producing the vast numbers of cars SEE tech will be in by 2020/21. At $10 profit per unit how many units will we be in by 2020 fall? 20,30,40 million?
Iam looking forward to winning the other $134 million initial contracts in the next 4/5 months, then a better picture can be painted of the massive market we will be controlling.
With the fund raise, I would like to see them go to other options, at least in part. However, I think a fund raise is getting less and less of an issue. We are approaching the point where the automotive contracts will dwarf any fund raise. Who knows, a strategic investor may come calling or even a bid.
I certainly wouldn't fear a fund raise at this point. We should be walking on the road to glory now.
S7...even although SEE and SEYE are direct competitors I don't think it's an apples to apples technical comparison on the SP front.
SEYE have far fewer shares in issue and free float. Supply and demand impacts would be more pronounced on SEYE.
SEE have a couple of billion shares in issue so buying on positive announcements is likely partly satisfied on sellers exiting.
SEYE would have a potentially smaller pool of sellers on positive news.
Just my view...always prefer companies with smaller floats and tightly held.

OEM WIN this week
EU NEWS TODAY
OEM win next week or Week after RNS?
Juice....if memory serves me correctly there were a couple of other events shortly after the last raise that positively impacted the share price....NCAP and US OEM RNS win.
If I was betting then personally I think high percentage likelihood that they undertake some sort of cash raise. In what form, size and pricing...who knows. All speculation.
Hi there,
Long(ish) term holder and also reader of this board. Thanks very much to all regular contributors for their insight over the last couple of years.
Can I ask people's views on whether a fund raise / placement will necessarily be a bad thing medium term? We rose pretty well following on from the last one although I appreciate promises were made then.
If there is a placement, what kind of time frame are we looking at from start to finish do we think?
I'm with S7 on this one, the vote was about 8pm Canberra time, I'm guessing many of us would have stayed up that late to watch it and we don't get paid for such things. They did issue an RNS last time, oh but that was post a placing not pre....
S7eve
Dont forget time difference. Sweden 1hr ahead and Australia 11hrs ahead.
So we should get our RNS out Fri or Monday?
Interesting how SE up 6% on the great news today. Our price seems to be being held back after the OEM win aswell
Two reasons for potential investors being put off:
1. As soon as there is a significant price rise SEE will go for more funding. Yes, it's catch 22. Especially as when they do announce a fund raise the share price will drop again from where it currently is causing even more share price damage.
2. Previous assurances that the last fund raise definitely was the last and that fleet would provide sufficient equity to take them into profitability.
This is what happens when you lie to the market. SEE have a serious credibility issue.
Our marketing team is extremely busy with all the RFQs unfortunately
and we are still falling.
Have we got the polarity wrong in our news wiring?

EU site says it, so ithink its just the legal process to rubber stamp. The proposals go back to May and then amemded in November/December ready for todays vote.
Safety features such as intelligent speed assistance, advanced emergency-braking system and emergency stop signal will have to be installed in new vehicles.
In a drive to reduce the number of fatalities and injuries on EU roads, Internal Market Committee MEPs approved on Thursday a set of rules to make several advanced safety features standard equipment in different categories of vehicles sold in the EU market. The proposal adapts the current rules to the changes in mobility behaviour resulting from societal trends (e.g. more cyclists and pedestrians, an aging society) and technological developments.
The advanced safety features which will become mandatory in all vehicles are:
Numptyi, that's my view it's just procedural. They use very positive language, no its buts or maybe If the vote has been close then maybe I would worry but it's a very clear cut decision.
Does anyone know where to find who voted in favour/against?
Curious how any UK MEP voted
That’s tickled me that did.
I have sent an email to Lorne Daniel asking for his opinion on the matter.
According to Chris who has not let us down yet he believes VW are next.
I wonder what the lifetime value of that would be ? Yearly tickets to Octoberfest for the whole team plus a couple of beer coupons.
Terry it is, we done for all your lobbying. I expect a tweet from Sophie to say "following today's announcement from the EU, we have upgraded the value of our DW with FCA to A$6.5m."
It reads like a done deal to me as well, but when you look at the detail thats not what it says, they are now seeking the green light by March 14 to put this forward for discussion by the full Council. Are you assuming that having got through today, the rest of the process is simply procedural, if that’s the case then it’s irrelevant either way and there is no problem, but that was not my expectations of the process.
Seeing it is a done deal....From EU site wording
The amended proposal was approved in committee by 33 votes to two, with no abstentions. The mandate to start negotiations with Council, endorsed by 31 votes to three, with no abstentions, is due to get the full House’s green light in the 11-14 March plenary session.
The advanced safety features which will become mandatory in all vehicles are:
intelligent speed assistance;
alcohol interlock installation facilitation (i.e. a standardised interface facilitating aftermarket alcohol interlock devices being fitted in vehicles);
driver drowsiness and attention warning;
advanced driver distraction warning;
emergency stop signal;
reversing detection;
accident data recorder, added by MEPs (under the Commission proposal only cars and vans would have to be equipped with it).
Next steps

The implementation dates for the different safety requirements are specified in Annex II of the proposed regulation, which was also amended by MEPs to speed up their application.
Once approved, this legislation will replace the current General Vehicle Safety Regulation, the Pedestrian Protection Regulation and the Hydrogen-Powered Motor Vehicles Regulation.

Safer roads: More life-saving technology to be mandatory in vehicles.

Read like a done deal to me "The amended proposal was approved in committee by 33 votes to two, with no abstentions. The mandate to start negotiations with Council, endorsed by 31 votes to three, with no abstentions, is due to get the full House’s green light in the 11-14 March plenary session."
Seeing2020, I post this full of fear and trepidation, to question Redeye, Terry and you is simply plain dumb of me because you all post so knowledgeably and so frequently however...
The piece that you posted goes on to say “this draft law...” and under next steps, at the end of the report concludes with once approved this legislation will replace current regulations ie no final approval as yet and so far nothing is mandated. I have read that as the end is in sight but we’re not there yet, despite the slightly confusing “will become “ wording that you highlighted.
