Ah IB, your balanced view has been missed of late. For sure these broker’s notes are not written to provide caution to would-be investors. Probably no less optimistic than the CEOs they survey/interview to provide the base data? I’m not a fan however of holding analysts to account for their forecasts as I’m sure you understand!

I have often wondered if there has been anyone minded to research and publish the stats on how close brokers TPs correlate to the actual SPs following their guidance notes, or say 1/2/3 months post an expected event such as a DFS. Might make interesting reading.

The WH note may amalgamate an array of info under their branded banner, and gives a pricing view, which may be useful for those that are dipping in, but does it add much new or additional info? Might need to read it again as I must have missed it.

SP isn’t changing because this is the price the market thinks is correct. That’s how markets work.

Maybe we need some significant buying by management. It doesn't matter how much they already have, 5p is the low of several years, if money is to be made then surely they would buy more.

I’d say resource upgrades, fact that we’re buying 25 % of the assets for pennies of a dollar are sp changing news. Problem is. Sp isn’t changing bc we have too few buyers. Other stories somehow better at creating excitement. Fundamentals should win in the end and we have a fantastic resource in a good jurisdiction with great economics. Not much more we can do.

yes Muldoon my thoughts exactly, it was their involvement that gave me great confidence in that project sooo long ago when I started investing here, so very frustrating and the board kept re-itirating that they still expect the licence to be granted, they must have realised ages ago of issues. The dilution is further frustrating, but again there was some big re-investment @ 9p so some big players are still expecting some big returns. Almost daily I expect an RNS with sp changing news, I honestly never thought we would drop every again below 6p, dare I say old Jonners was right with his prediction, but I still think I am invested in a well run company, with a good board that has good assets, hanging on in there will pay off. I hope !!!

On that basis 50percent of Moz is valued at £62.5m or an extra 5.5p on the sp.

Savannah, via an issue of new shares to the vendors, is acquiring the outstanding 25% minority stake in its advanced Mina do Barroso (MdB) spodumene hard rock lithium project in Portugal. The deal, struck at 5.63 p/share, values 25% of MdB at £9.1m.

MdB’s Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) Completed By Year End

In a July 2018 Scoping Study, a post-tax NPV of £184m, was estimated at an 8% discount rate. Since then, the company has started a BFS to be completed by year end. By drilling they have increased resources and have upgraded from inferred into indicated and measured. Analytical testing has shown that already low levels of iron are smaller than originally expected and metallurgical and marketing work has shown much greater potential for by-product revenues. However, in line with all lithium markets, the price of spodumene concentrates have fallen from the US$900/t highs seen in July 2018, hence, the conservative $685/t assumed then, is around the current price and the financial numbers in the BFS may be pulled in opposite directions.

Shares Trading At Big Discount To Our Valuation

If 25% of MdB is worth £9.1m, so 100% of MdB is £36.3m or 3.5p/share, or 70% of the current share price. 75% of the £184m project NPV is £138m, which is 13.2p or 2.6 times the current share price.

Savannah retains ownership of 20% of a Heavy Mineral Sands project in Mozambique and varying majority holdings in two Omani copper projects. In spite of little recent visible signs of progress on either, we maintain our respective £25m and £5m valuations. There is dilution with the share issues, but this is offset by the move to 100% ownership of MdB. Hence, our Savannah valuation increases to £170m from £140m, but our per share valuation slips to 16.2p from 17p.

Europe’s Most Significant Spodumene Project

This MdB deal is very good and gives Savannah 100% ownership of Europe’s most significant spodumene hard rock lithium project at a cheap price. It simplifies the company’s structure and reduces project funding uncertainties.

The Gentor blocks were 5 and 6 leaving the Al Thurya Block 4. I wonder what the NPV of Block 4 on its own is if the whole was worth 0.5p? Even if the mining lease were to be granted, would the small scale justify the investment I wonder?

Al Marjan are Omani for heaven's sake - you'd have thought they would be able to do some chivvying along. Far easier than DA trying to.

True Osaka, but I really think Oman is holding back SAV. So if Al Marjan want a higher return they need to expedite the situation.

Re Oman, don't forget this comment from Gringosmith on Tuesday after he had attended the AGM:
"talking to DA before the meeting he is still very certain the license WILL be granted - only (more) time will tell. If a license is granted that will be the time to decide on the best possible course of action for Oman, SAV and shareholders". So if this is taken at face value Oman is still in 'wait' mode.

CM my understanding is that Gentor didn't have the resources to do the exploration, hence why we got it at a knock down price. Whether we will ultimately realise any profit from it is anyones guess.

To misquote Shakespeare: Who will rid me of this troublesome copper pit in Oman.
Seriously am beginning to think that the only way forward is to be acquired and no Lithium acquirer wants Oman asset and the baggage that goes with it.
At least with Moz you can deal with RIo Tonto.
So hopefully today's announcement means we are rid of Oman sooner allowing a takeover this year. I don't imagine a takeover much higher than 15p - but with hindsight would snap their hands of.

Today's RNS is not really a dilution overall as the purchase of the outstanding 25% is a sensible move that will make funding easier and it actually mathmatically increases the investment value by 33%. Funding the construction costs is the major issue and it would be better done by loan than further share dilution and I would hope that the purpose of the joint broker is to facilitate the funding, whilst preserving the shareholders interests.Personally I only have a small holding here at the moment as in particular I want to see how things progress over the next 6 months. I have sincere doubts that the mine will be operational by early 2021. Add on at least 18 months.

No doubt the plans for Oman will be confirmed when the strategic review is complete. In the absence of this it does leave you wanting for a bit more comment I.e. why? I can see that with a low NPV the answer may be obvious but did we have to spend so much effort and cost drilling it out to realise this? I haven’t time to dig out my comment from a few years ago but it went along the lines of “ if Gentor couldn’t make a go of this, why do we think we can?”. Would have been better not to bother it seems?
This is only one of the blocks we have in Oman so what is happening with the others? What does Omangov PAM make of this I wonder? Hardly in support of our mining application? Are we withdrawing this etc., etc...... so many questions left hanging!

LOM Revenue of $200-250 million? 175000 tonne p/a of 6% spodumene at current spot price of approx $650 is $113 Million per annum. That was for an 11 year mine using a 14 million Tonne resource. It's expected to be triple the resource now.
