:) now 43.99 pounds Even better the share option is worth over 50 pounds but is ? difficult to access for individual investors as shares have to be held for 5 years
Apologies for board hopping but- The petition is going quite well; ~5150 signatures so far. Although it really needs a turbo boost. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/112044/sponsors/frRbCOsOLO6QqIN82UOX This petition was stalled in parliament since 12th Aug 15; finally green lit on 12th feb 2016. The FCA don't even reply on the matter, now is your chance to have your say. If you hate seeing buys reported as sells etc!!!!!! Has already been sent to Martin Lewis, Daily Mail, Moneyweek & Watchdog. My local MP supported this petition by writing to the petitions committee to help un-stall it. There’s 650 MP’s in Westminster, So have you written to your MP? 649 to go! If this petition doesn’t reach 10,000; then imo we might as well have not bothered as it will almost certainly be filed B1N; @ 10,000 the government should respond. We are currently getting approx. 100 new signatures a week, but need 3x that amount to reach the target with only 15 weeks to go. So – If you haven’t yet signed or indeed have but haven’t passed it on to others, then now’s the time to do so. If each person who has signed can get just one other person to sign then we will double the total immediately. I have posted to all aim listed gas n oilies, currently doing the footsy 100. But I can only do so much to push this. Really need you guys & gals to help. Thanks to all who have signed so far.
is it worth buying now before the takeover?
by Michelle McGagh on Dec 01, 2015 at 05:00 Citywire SABMiller deal on track but crystallising gains an option Drinks company AB InBev’s deal to buy rival SABMiller (SAB) is expected to go ahead, with two premium brands set for the chop to satisfy regulators. Shore Capital analyst Phil Carroll retained his ‘hold’ recommendation but does not have a target price on the stock. ‘We note the article in the Sunday Times, which states that AB InBev may be considering SABMiller’s Peroni and Grolsch premium brands in order to enable the acquisition of SAB to proceed,’ he said. ‘The potential need to sell the brands would probably be more of a minor irritation to AB InBev, in our opinion, than a material issue with the major prize in SAB being more related to its sizeable portfolio of over 200 local brands in key growth markets such as Africa and Latin American and of course the cost of synergies from the business combination.’ He added that while the deal was progressing and expected to complete in the second half of next year, ‘more cautious SAB shareholders may want to consider crystallising the gain so far noting there are still many regulatory hurdles to overcome’.
wait fir my new shares sell up and 10% guaranteed for 3 months , better than money in the bank, will have more to play with on the more risky stuff now
Read the SAB Live RNS feeds for yesterday starting at 0700 hours for details of offer terms and timings etc. The link is in the top row above. The price is likely to dribble up to 44 pounds over the next 6 months as the deal completes I think. Any other views?
Thanks so much, I was thinking of topping up again as I thought the deadline was today but I may wait until next week possibly?
*anyone else Stupid phone keyboard
It could take longer than expected but I did read somewhere that the deadline for a one else to make an offer is the end of this month and then the legal teams step in to do it officially. Had no experience of a takeover myself but would of hope by now I would of with being a WRN holder too. Like you I've jumped on the bandwagon myself this morning. The real winners are the long time holders who have been in since before last month. Well done to you guys.
Thanks so much ,it is really appreciated! When will this happen? I have just bought in!
SABMiller shareholders who elect for the partial share alternative will receive 0.483969 Restricted Shares2 and GBP 3.7788 in cash for each SABMiller share.
so with the PSA what do you gain? or do you keep 41% of your holding and receive the rest in cash? Thanks
Thank you, any idea when that offer will be given? I thought the deadline for the deal was today but I may be completely wrong!
Looking at the offer there will be two choices: "Under the terms of the Possible Offer, SABMiller shareholders would be entitled to receive GBP 44.00 per share in cash, with a partial share alternative (“PSA”) available for approximately 41% of the SABMiller shares."
Thanks very much, is the deal definitely going through then? Will the share price rise to £44 straight away or will our shares be bought off us for that price? Thanks so much ,really appreciated!
share price now under 40 pounds when deal completes it is 44 pounds profit 4 pounds = 10%
Hi, im looking at buying it what is the 10% deal?
nice
Still a ten per cent discount to the indicative deal price, to reflect uncertainty and the delay to receiving proceeds, which begs the question whether to top up and treat as a high interest savings account...
today , good to see how many want these shares , would be interesting to know how many more may be watching thinking of buying shares
Looks like £44 has done it... Nice little earner, Well done... Glm
looks like both parties are now getting closer and a deal will be done around £45 quid
I think £42.15 will not do it, its just made it easier for the SAB bod to keep their jobs and stay independant, After offering £42 then coming back with an extra 0.3% I am wondering why they think that an extra 0.3 % might open the door to meaningful discussions, seems like they might have now put Ebenezer Scrooge in charge of doing the bidding, I think something well over £ 43 is needed to get them talking nicely to each other.
£42.15 a share cash very fair.Altria approve...take the money SAB.Well done on getting to this level.Lets see if the other major shareholder agrees as the part share deal on 41% limits their tax bills.
Any news about take over? Is it still on?
