Colin I will not talk about the past, it's gone infact don't know much about the asset u talking about.. If you not interested then don't invest. It's simple.. Stop moaning and move on, I'm here on current assets and current value which is cheap...
Maestro you miss the point completely. We were advised by an RNS that the lawyers handling the Greenland transaction had received a completion bonus. We were also advised by an RNS that the funds were stuck in a Cypriot bank. People could have based an investment decision on those two announcements.
Jupiter also published their Interim results more recently, 6th Dec 2017 and simply stated in there: "The Mount Ida Magnetite and Mount Mason DSO Hematite projects remain under care and maintenance." http://www.jupitermines.com/images/jupiter---hiyaijicoh.pdf
Let's have the facts Helpful not your dreadful speculation. 8th Nov 2012 "Jupiter Mines Limited (Jupiter) (ASX: JMS) has just received the preliminary estimates of the Mount Ida Feasibility Study. These indicate higher capital and operating costs than those contained in the 2011 Scoping Study. In light of these estimates, taken together with the currently depressed iron ore and strong exchange rate environment, the Jupiter Board has concluded that it is in the best interest of the Company and its shareholders to freeze expenditure on the Mount Ida project until market conditions improve. Jupiter will retain its ownership of Mount Ida and will continue to meet its minimum expenditure obligations on the tenements with a view to protecting the value of the earlier work for potential future development. As a consequence of this decision, Jupiter will withdraw from its intended participation in the proposed Port of Esperance expansion. These decisions are expected to save Jupiter at least $20 million over the next six months" So the above were the actual reported why Jupiter mothballed Mt Ida. It must be noted that the price of iron ore at the time Jupiter chose to mothball the project was about $120. At times in 2012 the price was above $140. Clearly, this project is unlikely to go anywhere until and unless the iron ore price recovers. In the past 6 months the iron ore price has continued to languish in the $60-$70 region, absolutely nowhere near $120. On 23rd Jan 2017 Jupiter releases a shareholder presentation in which it stated: "The favourable iron ore price and exchange rates means a review of these projects is warranted." Seemed a good turn of events. The iron ore price was just about touching $90 so a review was warranted. Unfortunately the price plummeted again throughout 2017 right down to $57 levels. On 27 June 2017 Jupiter published their Annual Report and stated: "the Board reviewed both the Mount Ida Magnetite and Mount Mason Hematite Projects during the year. With the iron ore market still unstable, both projects remain on care and maintenance" http://www.jupitermines.com/images/jupiter---eiwohzaexu.pdf There is absolutely no need for the pitiful speculation and desperate straw clutching by some here. The situation could not be clearer imo from the information published. Mt Ida is mothballed, the situation was reviewed in 2017 and it remains mothballed. Sorry but that's it.
Again, slowly: 1. Mt Ida was put on care & maintenance mainly but not solely because there was no port handling capacity. 2. The company that had the port capacity locked up is pulling out. 3. There was another project nearby that might have wanted the capacity but it didn't get planning and that decision cannot be reversed. 4. JMS said it would revive Mt Ida when there was a port solution and higher prices: we now have both. 5. JMS have said they will relist, raise funds and concentrate on iron ore and feedstocks. 6. If JMS said now that they are going to reactivate Mt Ida, it would mean the IPO and IM would be delayed. DYOR
So nothing at all - apart from your own speculation
I have posted the links re Port Esperance. Check them out.
oh no, I don't think many would agree with you there. Red rock are different because almost every investment they make is a bad one. And each time, it is announced with the same hyperbole, a certain number (though apparently reducing each time) of mug punters are drawn in, and then there is the inevitable silence before it becomes a bullet point on page 6 of the presentation and AB moves onto the next big thing. Granted, one of these days, one of the investments probably will land. Maybe you'll be the lucky one to have invested at that time. Maybe. Doesn't change the fact that this is a disaster of an investment in the long term for absolutely everyone, and a spin of the roulette wheel in the short term because the BOD have messed up so many times before, and it becomes very hard to believe the picture that is painted.
What’s happening with Mt Ida? I’m a Jupiter holder and I think nothing is happening
Helpful This is what annoys me when they talk about past, everyone has made bad investments and rrr are no different. We are here about the future potential of rrr, I think at the moment this can easily bag a few times... IMHO
The Greenland deal? No idea and not very interested, though I can understand why someone invested from 3/4 years ago might have an issue. I am very interested in what is happening now and will it translate into value: it looks to me like we are not far off scoring "a Worldie". Take a serious look at Mount Ida. I am hoping we have the Steelmin RNS tomorrow. DYOR
Helpful - gold royalties aside, what are your views on the mysterious Russian buyer and the reporting by Mr Bell that his funds had been held up in a Cypriot bank account at the time of the Greek financial crisis?
Helpful "and $3mil in royalties" Yeah about that. Last actual RNS reporting th equarterly payments of that royalty was way back in Jun 2017 and covered the quarter to end March. Is it not somewhat odd that we've not had any figures for quarters ending: June, Sept and Dec? I can only assume that the royaties in those quarters have been just as paltry as those reported in the June RNS. AB should really provide the numbers for those past quarters imo.
Indeed, though I am sure the Trolls can make something up like, it is the wrong type of gold or something like that.
Excellent news. Just keeps getting better and better.
He was posting the same drivel when the share was .025p and upwards. Anyone who didn't investment from 0.25p because of Tragic's wisdom must be kicking themselves. As to movement, things are going quite well and will in due course translate into SP movement. I am sure that you don't need me to go through the list of good news items, do you? I thought the Para Resources announcement looks much better. They owe RRR $750k loan note repayment and $3mil in royalties. I suspect (obviously I don't know) that we will get our $750k in April 18 as intended. No doubt Tragic and the ex wives club will be trolling the same stuff when the SP is 2.5p. DYOR
Graphite - posting factual views that may be opposite to your yet to be proved views is not trolling Your investment here is struggling to keep any upward momentum and so you resort to personal attacks Mr Magic purely posts facts and so has done nothing wrong and his information is gold to those that may think about investing here. Anyway what happened to the spare Greenland coffee ?
Take a look in the mirror? Are you lot that thick skinned not to realise that several years of none stop negative posting in this one direction (for the majority of you) is not online trolling? Jesus wept, there is no hope for you lot.
"Mm,arnt trolls people who attack people personally.take a look in the mirror .most who shout trolls exhibit the key attributes" .............. Absolutely right Seingred. These people who target other posters by name calling them and laughing at their losses are the trolls. On the other hand these people who these trolls attack are doing nothing wrong, they stick to lse forum rules by keeping on topic, on lse forum the posters are allowed to give company views from either "strong buy opinion" all the way to "strong sell opinion". These posters who these trolls attack do this. My observation over the years are that the posters who usually get banned are the posters who like attacking fellow posters. On numerous occasions i've seen "Helpful" beginning threads with "Mr Tragic" in the title and i think it's only a matter of time before this trollish behaviour gets this poster banned. Likewise "Kabaa" has got an obsession with MrM and is always searching through Magic's post history and attacking him: his basic purpose for being on the forum is to target and attack Mr Magic and so again i think eventually his trollish behaviour will get him banned. Many more examples from obviously "city fan" all the way to "Graphite Tech" who is also getting an obsession with Mr Magic and he nastliy attacks him by saying he's got a mental illness and laughing at his losses by telling MrM that he should get a job in Mcdonalds to retrieve his losses back. So absolutely trollish behaviour. On the other hand the posters that these trolls attack stick to lse forum rules by discussing the companies.
