Alfista The revenue from sales are pathetic, and the SP reflects this, notice another -2.91 % today. I cant imagine many locked in here will get their "investment" back, LTH are dreaming if they think they are. Been here 8 years and read so much tripe on DSM this DSM that, and they are supposed to be one of the largest, good job PXS didn't choose a smaller distributor !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just to add some pointless information....... Chinas population is 21 times the size of the UK which is at number 21 on the list of countries by population. At no 18 is Germany who only has 15 million more people than the UK but have numerous FF products on sale. http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/population-by-country/ jsl.
"The UK is a tiny proportion of a global market" The UK does NOT make up a tiny proportion - the UK represents a huge market - we're a hugely populated, hugely wealthy country and i think you are quite wrong to so casually dismiss and disregard the UK market as if its an irrelevance. I think it's a huge failure and a huge opportunity missed that after all these years Fruitflow remains virtually unheard of in the UK. And in my opinion it doesn't bode well for expected sales in the rest of the world either.
I concur that you have no idea, because your comment displays a complete lack of knowledge of what has been to collaboration entered in to between the companies. Sirco tasted odd. Those of us that bought it as the only source of Fruitflow became used to the taste, but the honest truth is that a high sugar juice drink was not the direction that Fruitflow took. And that direction began almost as soon as the alliance with DSM began. DSM sell to industry, globally. Fact. The currently available Fruitflow products are dietary supplements. Easier to ingest, combined with a drink to the individual's own taste. A superior format. Are there Fruitflow capsules on the shelves of retailers, apart from online? Read the most recent comments by Provexis, and decide. The UK is a tiny proportion of a global market, therefore I see the obsession of a few with just the UK as myopic.
alfista, please list the UK retailers that sell Fruitflow products from their stores. Apart from a small handful of websites it would appear there are very few UK stockists. From what i can see, Sainsburys briefly stocked sirco before removing it from their fruit juice range for being too niche, presumably it wasn't selling and they therefore decided it wasn't worth the shelf space allocated to it and it had to go. There is some evidence that Tesco have trialled it in some of their stores but im having trouble finding anything sirco or Fruitflow related on Tesco's website. I have never once seen anything containing Fruitflow in any of the major UK supermarkets. You say "they sell to industry" which is somewhat misleading as it has to end up in a retail outlet in order for consumers to be able to buy it - so quite why you chose to mock the Chinese grocery store comment i have no idea.
If you haven't seen it, that's through your own lack of interest. It is all there, and countless links to it have been provided over the years. They sell to industry, so you are not going to see a front page banner on the Star (a guess) You mention blinkered folks, but how willing are you to look beyond you continual agenda of denial of progress. I know, like the pretentious ones on 'thother site, what you wanted and expected was an immediate launch by a multinational and every health service to make it compulsory. The irony is that you accuse others of being the dreamers. Realistically, Fruitflow has continued to gain market presence, revenues have grown period by period, and, if the percentage gains continue at a reasonable rate, the all important base line will be crossed. Until then, silly comments by those with zero information will continue. Chinese grocery stores indeed, just how wide of the mark can a poster be without blushing at his own naivety?
Alfista All on this board are aware of such, however, the people that matter, i.e The rest Of The World, don't, neither do the NHS and other medical agencies out there. Have you seen any "DSM Marketing", no neither have I
"such differentiators can only mark Fruitflow out from others" I would say such differentiators won't even be taken into consideration by the typical Chinese consumer if the grocery store in question is stocked to the brim with a remarkably similar looking product that's on sale at half the price of it's competitors. If the quality is good, the vast majority of consumers will shun the more expensive foreign product for the much cheaper Chinese brand. I would also speculate many Chinese consumers will have an automatic preference to Chinese brands over foreign ones, just as is the case here in the UK with imported world foods and foreign brands making up by far the smallest percentage of the weekly grocery shop of a typical UK family, with many brits choosing to shun foreign products and brands altogether in favor of UK ones.
Supported by DSM's marketing to the nutraceutical industry, Fruitflow has always had a premium profile. It has a clinically proven health claim, it was the recipient of the very first EFSA approved health claim, and GRAS approval in USA. Such differentiators can only mark Fruitflow out from others.
Fruitflow will never take off in Britain mo, Sirco will never take off in Britain mo, we have tried and failed, due to non advertising which we simply, cannot afford. I,m unaware of any successful product which wasn't advertised in one form or another . Hope I'm wrong as iv,e been in this for years, although written the share of years ago. A few of the "head in the sand" brigade on the blue channel remain hopeful, I don,t..all in my opinion of course.
*isn't* and never will be, a luxury brand.
Fruitflow is and never will be, a luxury brand. It is a food supplement prone to fierce competition and price undercutting.
If that were the case, no luxury brand would survive. But they do, and thrive. Such a simplistic thought process to marketing is at odds with the reality.
Provided the cheaper product is of good quality, people will almost always buy it over the more expensive one.
The population of China is some 1.3 billion. Those on restricted incomes are not the target market. Do you buy the cheapest everything?
