Be interesting to know Ben Stocks’ plan for the future. More than happy for him to carry on working but, at age 60, how much longer does he see himself as CEO?
Updated analysis on this link. Doesn’t add anything new, imo, to those of us already invested.

Latest TU shows BAU - ahead of expectations and a bolt on acquisition. Steady as she goes.
Took a few days for the uplift in the sp! Had a look through the results, couldn’t see anything untoward (wasn’t expecting to, I add).
LSE doesn’t know everything. Today I purchased 3k at £6.10. It’s showing as a sell ! Proves not to rely on them. Waiting on good results on Tuesday and a gradual rise back to £7 GLA DYOR
Yes, I see them as quite conservative financially and that they look to exceed expectations. MD has been with the company a long time (and has got fair number of shares) and led its growth and diversification into more niche areas but keeping true to their strategy. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was a jump when results announced later this month even with the trading update from last year.
First bought them in 2010 at 62p. My highest sale price was 612. They've been very good to me & made me a lot of money. I did sell all at the start of the pandemic, but bought back once they were managing things well and still profitable. I like the board (the MD made me a cup of coffee at an AGM) and over the years nearly every update beat predictions. I like that. They are world leaders in a niche sector for which all drivers are positive:
Tightening of environmental Regulations, Growth in analytical science, Clean water regulation, Increase use of Al, Recycling packaging, Reduce waste in manufacturing.
When this current down trend looks like bottoming I may top up.
Hi Scooter. You’re not alone. Bought some at the end of Aug. Thought I may make a quick turn on them but still holding them. Not sure whether they will become a long term hold now. Nice trading update and like the business model so not unhappy to take my time with the shares.
Hi I just bought into this share today. Anyone else invested ?
Does anyone know when their trading update is due?
They normally release on early in December just after Year End, but it is not shown on the website's financial calendar
When a company releases an unscheduled Trading update so close (3 weeks) to a scheduled one, and says the full year profits will be ahead of current expectations it's likely to be a significant improvement.

Nice write up in IC this week as a Tip for 2020 - at 700p.
I've not come across Porvair before but I have an interest on Spirax-Sarco. I like specialist engineering!!
Bought this on an old NT tip but as you say not much investor interest it seems!
It seems like the market is bored with this stock.
Results looked OK. Here are some things you should know: - It is profoundly clear the weak British Pound is affecting their biggest division “Microfiltration”, which accounts for two-thirds of revenue. Revenue growth in the last four years have average 9% and grew by 45% overall. Meanwhile, operating profits saw average growth of 11.2% and 53% overall growth. The big surprise is operating cash profits are down two years straight, with operating cash flow falling from £3.055m to £1.57m. If you look at net operating cash flow that collapsed from £2.4m to £0.1m!! To know why this is happening and to see more analysis on today’s interim results, click http://bit.ly/2sNHZdY Meanwhile, for those favouring a longer-term analysis, which includes: 1. Divisional breakdown analysis; 2. Acquisition of J. G. Finneran Associates, Inc; 3. Market Opportunities and Growth; 4. Profitability trends; 5. Debt and Pension assessment; 6. Dividend coverage; 7. Pricing competitiveness, and 8. My Share Price Forecast, then My overall conclusion, this is a company to own, but ONLY if the share price corrects by 25%, according to the fundamentals, technical and forecasts for the next two years.
