Merry christmas dougie, bignose et al.even though I've been retired for many years, i do look forward very much to the christmas festive period and shall certainly not be dwelling too much on the future for regent.let us see what the new year brings. very best wishes to you all.
Merry Christmas Dougie et al. I’m currently feeling it’s closer to the drain than any money tree. Hopefully things will look up after the profit warning and cash call. Not sure how much we will be left with given the market cap will probably be closer to 100mill HKD and they are gg to need close to that to run the company and perform the phase iii
Merry Christmas shareholders, another year closer to the money fountain
Evening bignose.yes it is a nice thought, but i wasn't really suggesting it as a possibility, merely a (rather poor) example of the magnitude of news which would necessitate a formal announcement in the close period.still you never know!
Morning, The.Italian,
A takeover. Now that’s an interesting thought, however. I’m sure Jim would not sell for peanuts, given the possibilities. That said, since not one us licensee is willing to commit even with the company at an all time low in market cap, I cannot see them wanting to spend much, so I personally don’t think so. Although it is a nice thought. ;-)
Afternoon dougie and bignose. no feedback here i'm afraid.agree with you bignose, that unlikely to hear anything now before annual report.i think strictly speaking, major news (e.g. takeover) would have to be announced regardless of closed period, but absent that, run of the mill news, if any, will be sat upon until then. just my opinion.
I could be wrong, but I wouldn’t think they will provide any update till the annual report is out, which of course comes after the usual profit warning.
Has anyone had any kind of feedback to even find out if we will hear any sort of update soon ?
I think we are still a few more years away from this coming good. I know it has been years, not given up yet.
You might be right, Bothwell. The chatter is that Mr Mellon has tired of vulgar pursuit of the money fountain. Heart and soul now dedicated to becoming a renowned children's author and poster child for the compassionate farming movement "Save The Moo Moo".

Heart-warming....And let's not forget his past contributions to animal welfare. Indeed, in RPG, he's managed to put together a first-class donkey sanctuary.
Why would you think that bothwell? Can’t see an alternative at the moment , the silence is very disappointing
If you want an answer, you needed to have emailed Jim and copied, JG/Dr Mike and the company secretary (whats her face) otherwise they will not be obligated to respond.
Its all there in the shareholders communication policy. I would even reference the document for added effect.

Of course, they would then have to make all the A team directors of RPG
That’s right since the 60%ers hold all the cards. They could vote to accept whatever they want. They may even call it a management buyout since Jamie et al would also lose out if Jim decided to take it private.
Interesting that you have had no response to your emails either, bothwell.looks like a deliberate tactic to maintain complete silence then. to what end though?
I don’t believe we are going private.
So if we go private then we have lost all our money as we we won’t get much more than the current SP. I did send an email a few weeks ago
To Dr Mike and Jamie but no response which isn’t like them.
Afternoon bignose.it is almost as if the company has ceased to exist.no news for months.vitually no trades.i agree that any form of public financing looks virtually impossible.mellon thaking it private at a minuscule figure now looks the most likely outcome now im afraid.
So, RPG have now entered a closed period. I now don’t expect any news (even if there is some) until the year end results and then it will probably be accompanied with a cash call which I can only see being filled with difficultly.
I hope I’m wrong but history dictates otherwise.
Afternoon bignose.well let's hope you are right and that it is something positive.fingers crossed!
Keith,
I certainly wouldn’t think so since they are the ones supposedly sorting out the FDA process which, come March next year, has also been going on for 10 years. (With probably still no end in sight of phase 2)
The.Italian,
Well, they are certainly up to something given the dire straits the company is in as it heads towards the end of the year.
Evening all. just saying hello and that i'm still here. just waiting like you all are. lack of news feels pretty ominous and whilst it may be a cloak to assist with some strategic objective,i do not really think that is the case.hope im wrong of course, but the longer things go on without news the more pessimistic i become.
I did give a heads up months ago that the China submission would be delayed, a safe prediction considering Fortacin's manufacturing history and consequent gaps in the CMC section. Hard to make a call on this, but could be end Q1 at earliest, and potentially much, much longer to answer the necessaries. And, given RPG's historical interpretation of "excellent", I would not rule out other issues (how's that placebo response looking?), including supply (neither Recordati or Genetic willing to invest, and pace of HFA phasedown accelerating in Europe).
Looking to the bigger picture, Fosun, suffering from heavy debt and structural complexity now has different priorities and along with a better grasp of the very modest PE market potential, no reimbursement and decline in consumer spending, not unrealistic to suppose that Fortacin/Senstend might never be launched. That said, at least one Chinese company has disclosed development of a generic version (Zezheng Biotech).
Once more from the top, US is dead, killed by the self-inflicted headshot of the Phase II data, although progress was always the remotest of possibilities even before suicide by PEBEQ.
Recordati royalty might just about cover the Xmas party, but interesting times ahead- all down to DLI and its speak your age wizardry - what can possibly go wrong?
I wonder if another name change would be the saviour. Perhaps Plethora Solutions would give the company the lift off for the money fountain!
