All depends what you mean by performance related pay ! A basic salary for BOD and sales staff which is at market rates (or preferably lower to encourage performance) plus a realistic bonus/commission would be ideal but possibly not currently in place. It would be better to give sales employees 5% bonus on gross margin for instance and a true basic salary as this would at least inject the rest of the sizeable gross margin to the results The excuses are now wearing thin and it seems for the time being at least no significant improvent from 3 or 4 years ago
ouch! I guess they weren't going to be great following their warnings earlier in the year re. weather. They are doing the old bad news/ but on the other hand good news gambit. Get the bad news out the way in the morning for us to digest and then throw us some titbits later in the day to make us not feel as bad
why 2 rns in same day? one with all the facts would do what a mess perhaps the bod need performance related pay to get them in action
No surprises there then ! Let's hope the 3 months trading results to 31/10/2013 really are significantly better in order to offset this wholly expected announcement re the previous 16 months ! This really is time to put up or shut up for PI - the next 12 months are going to be crucial for the company in my opinion, all investors need to see improved results going forwards as this is now becoming a stale story
Well that's almost 5% of the share capital that's changed hands over the last month or so - clearly some anticipation of news bubbling around
All a bit odd unless the trades are true and one of the IIs is selling down/out
And 4 x 220,00 since 4th Oct !
I cannot believe these trades to be accurate, unless it's someone's lucky number.
Someone/s off loaded a lot of stock lately…up to about 2 million shares. there are only 5 share holders with that kind of holding new city, enterprise ventures, arysta, fil investments and wh ireland. it wont be fil or city as they have been recent buyers. i would be gob smacked if it was wh ireland as they are the nomad/broker so i suspect it is enterprise ventures(been on the share registry a long time) or arysta. or a combination of share holders who knows? at least they have been sucked up by someone/s at a decent price
Significant disposal of stock today by one sizeable shareholder - no effect on SP so far though !
I'm in here but personally not expecting a vast change quite yet - reckon it may be another year before eg Brazil sales start to take off. But good results could come through sooner and will be happy if they do.
19.75 trade?
Looks like it's starting to reawaken, tempted to add a few more, as good news will certainly move it back into mid 20's
Here's hoping you are right ! Not too sure about the bedding in of sales team though, the majority of the previous year's customer base and sales would typically be repeat sales so we should see at least equal revenue to previous year's with an allowance for the inclement weather, although this reporting period will include 2 growing seasons so personally expecting a significant increase - particularly as the majority of the 'deals' are through distribution agents etc with their own 'bedded in' sales forces and the stategies you mention would appear to be standard sales procedures in all companies rather than groundbreaking ideas to push the company into orbit Throughout the life of this company the sales strategy has changed almost year on year - what we need is stability and a concerted targeted effort towards revenue increase and breakeven rather than continual changes to strategy everytime targets are not met - this tends to give the impression that the strategies they are choosing are not particularly well thought out in the first place ! The Bayer deal is fantastic and hopefully it will develop as expected and result in the added revenue and more even spread of turnover GLA for a 'fruitful' 2013/2014 !
They have until some time in November to post results till the end of July. Drawing a negative on them not reporting early seems somewhat premature. We know they had a whole new sales team starting this year, we know that the season started a month late, we know they have made noises about this. These two things MAY indicate sales may not be as robust as when compared to a normal weather year and a bedded in sales team. Who knows, we shall see From their twittering they seem very excited and pleased with Ametros results. Hopefully this product launch has worked well, seen good results and will lead to sales growth in year 2. I see little mention of INCA/potatoes. I gathered from the investors day that they have a different sales strategy than in previous years which should 'pay dividends ' over time i.e. to develop stronger ties with the growers, inform them better about optimum application, go back and see if they are happy with results…i.e. build a dialogue and continued line of communications. The Bayer deal is fantastic, what I have been waiting for for years. Again from the twitter accounts you can see that Bayer are taking it seriously, doing proper training of its distributor sales staff. We will have some winter income..at last! Fidelity buying in at 23p is a great stamp of approval for the direction that management are going in. The price has drifted on small volumes, no news and the summer doldrums. Quite typical small cap behaviour. With any luck they will be very close to or will achieve their break even end of July target
Must admit I'm starting to get a little nervous - I would guess no news so far may intimate no significant uplift in revenue (hopefully not a reduction) which would be worrying after 2 full years of the new leadership ! I assume they are hoping for some further good news in the interim period from July to November that they can slot in to hopefully at least partially offset any disappointing results - the mushroom theory is rather apt and pretty accurate !
Trading update would be very nice, far too quiet, suffering from withdrawal symptoms with this stock, I appreciate the company may not file until end of November, but since the fundraiser which caused the SP to reduce by 30 % I feel akin to mushroom. Come on BoD put some spark into this!!!
It would be rude not to at this price - fingers crossed for good revenue news soon !
Anyone out there aware of what an 88 deal notifies ?
Hopefully start ticking up again soon, if not today ! Someone got a bargain at 18.60p yesterday !
Steady ship still...
Holding steady at this level.....................
Two decent sized buys among many on the 31st - one tiny sell today and s/p down!
100K just came in...GLA
Well a few more eggs in my basket at just under 20p, brings my average cost up marginally but that's my lot now, probably a bit over exposed with the vast majority of my portfolio in PIM but confident it's going to be more than worth it in the next 6 to 12 months Fingers crossed it continues to tick up as it has done for the last 24-36 hours
