I've just had a look at discuss the market.com - looks like all posts from iii and lse show up there.

Anyone know how we get updates in this share?

Anyone signed up to that capita thing yet to see prices offered/bid?

Has anyone setup an alternative forum to discuss / keep in touch regarding Optare ?
Might be worthwhile and to post the link asap before this all disappears.

Optare Paper certs

This may assist - I have ordered my shares to be sent to me as a paper certificate - it may take 6 weeks

I received the following reply from Capita re dealing them through them. Hope it helps.

Dear Mr T

Thank you for getting in touch.

Please be advised that in order to transfer your shares out of your nominee account, you first of all need to contact them directly to provide you with the necessary stock transfer documentation. Once the forms are completed, they should be then be lodged with ourselves for processing.

If you need any more help, please do not hesitate to reply to this email. Alternatively, you can call our Shareholder Helpline on 0871 664 0300 (calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras. Lines are open from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday).

Do you think that it would be possible to sell at a higher price than is currently offered on the proposed capita marketplace?? Or would the prices reflect current value.

Good idea, would be good if someone knows a board that is very rarely posted on at all.

Perhaps a company with a tiny market cap. Then we can post on that. PLMO is very quiet but probably not quiet enough.

I guess this forum will disappear on Monday/Tueday when OPE delists.

I'm off out now - will have a look later if there is more interest....

I am going to hold beyond Monday as I think there is a chance this wont go bust after delisting.

Does anyone think it might be a good idea for holders to keep intouch?

This forum will likely be deleted soon.

Perhaps if a few of us keep in contact, we might be able to put pressure on the company to not get shafted so much.?

optare shares
29 May '15
I have just been on the phone to Halifax which is what I use as my trading platform also to Redmayne Bentley which is my stockbroker.
I have asked what happens after you can no longer trade on AIM with Optare shares.
I was told that you still have the shares in your account & can request certificates at any time and there is not a deadline.
Some times the shares come back on to Aim therefore you can trade again, its not often that this happens but has been known to have occured. Or you can trade using the match bargain basis once you have certificates (google to understand). I
My thoughts are that for what I am going to gain by selling which is almost zero when paid the fees. I may as well hold on & get certificates even though there is £25.00 charge & keep and then cross fingers.
Some like to sell and set against Capital gains etc.
Hope this helps.........

My OPE shares 300000 are with First Direct as a nominated account. On de-list they will not hold them and advised I ask them to re-register the shares into my own name and deliver paper listing to me. I have asked them to do this and enquiries with Capita have shown that I can use them as my broker with my paper shares when I wish to trade in the future.

At least I will see the shares do something positive in the future instead of selling for less than £100 - a tank full of fuel for the car!

Hope this helps and good luck. Hope we can stuff these robbing b...s one day

As you said if the company does well you should be looking at a higher price if you find a like for like buyer , if they turn the corner then you would receive divi's but that could be a pipe dream at this moment in time . the hindu brothers have stated they want optare to continue to make buses in the uk and will stay a plc.

From what I can gather, you could put them up for offer at any price and they would sell if someone matched your ask. So if you wanted to sell, you start high then work down until someone took them, that is of course if anyone wants to buy into a private company as a minority investor. I was considering just keeping 100 shares so I could get the annual reports and make a pest of myself! I'm not 100% sure of my comments. Perhaps others more knowledgeable have an opinion.
