TJ of course this would be early and Omi have a habit of not getting timings right but he has stopped tweeting which to me was suggestive that they are getting close to an announcement. Wouldn't be surprised if an update came early, on time or late. I suppose all you can do is place your chips as sure we day there will be an update. I don't think anyone is hanging about so things will move rapidly once that starting gun is fired.
Think we might see the bid back up at 5p first thing tomorrow. The drop to 4.7p was possibly to see if anyone might get spooked into selling. At the end of this week it will be 4 weeks since Brad's announcement of the LOI. History tells us he's never early with news however this is the new OMI, so you just never know we may get the confirmation of 100% ownership again next week. We also had the last RNS on a Monday when traditionally they've always been on a Tuesday, so I'm guessing Friday could see some decent volume.
Nothing goes up in straight line except BoDs inflated pay checks!!
Bit mean of the market makers to drop the bid to 4.7p just before the close, spread has been quite wide to buy and sell last few days. If the offer dips below 5p I will be adding some more
We are all here for the Anza gold but do not forget that high zinc content was also discovered there, plus we have options on tin mining in Brazil. Base metals are trending higher. The zinc in particular, as a by-product at Anza, will play it's part in the economic case that will drive the overall stock valuation.
Volume over a million today...mix day today.
Plus we already know Anza holds huge gold grades.
APTA drillholes highlights below
MAP 20 - 41m @ 3.85g/t Au
MAP 21 - 18m @ 14.14 g/t
MAP 33 - 22.4m @ 10.42 g/t
MAP 38 - 40.5m @ 14.09 g/t
MAP 43 - 64m @ 1.88 g/t
MAP 48 - 14.7m @ 40.37 g/t
MAP 60 - 25m @ 4.86 g/t
MAP 72 - 70.5m @ 3.35 g/t
MAP 73 - 21.6m @ 6 g/t
MAP 79 - 23.75 @ 17.4 g/t
MAP 89 - 59.55m @ 9.61
MAP 91 - 61.75m @ 2.05 g/t
Most holes had Ag & Zn credits also
Pepas, to the north.
Nine holes drilled
The first hole PEP001 hit 150.9m @ 3 g/t Au from surface.
PEP007 80.55m @ 3.05 g/t
Remember the old price levels were when gold was substantially lower than current rates.
Gold is in a long term bull run and fiat is diluted into oblivion. The gold standard will return and will be the only game in town.
Speculation will go through the roof for hot explorers and we know the Anza belt is already in production with the Chinese. Newmont missed out on that also selling their 20% stake for millions when it would. Now be worth billions.
Newmont hold 15% of OMI and if history repeats we are holding a very strong hand especially from these levels.

It might be hard for some new investors to envisage this from where we are now but any long termers will remember that when this goes on a run then these levels can be easily achieved in a very short time. The timescale to achieve these levels is certainly in line with your prediction as the amount of news required for this would only require for us to have the keys back, start drilling and have a few good initial results from Pepas which is more than achievable in the timescales you quote.
You are free to purchase any volume with brokers like Freetrade. Low volume trader will vanish quickly if they have to pay the £4–12 broker fee like most of us do.
Always wondered about these low value trades. Anyone know what they are about? Who would buy on 1 or a few shares for example?
Bought a little £2,200 worth @ 5.312p. I don't mind paying more if the share price is going in the right direction. There is that old stock market saying, 'Add to winning positions', so that's what i'm doing.
10-15-20p is a no brainer here on a 6-12 month view imho
Well done Chris let’s get this gold train moving again. It’s nice to actually hear investors proving they are putting money into it rather than just talking about it. I did my £40k few weeks back
It shows here:
https://www.lse.co.uk/ShareTrades.html?shareprice=OMI.GB.PL&share=Orosur-Mining-Inc-Common
Bought 118000 shares at 9.03 not shown trade at 5.487p
Back in again as news soon should help bake to 10p in my view of prospects
Chris
I can add one more reason to Chicken's list. Orosur employs two "top notch" geologists to do the exploration; Jerónimo Jáñez and Ernesto Slavutsky, both from Argentina.
The praise comes from Brad, not myself.
Yes, Aquis usually have bigger spreads and often it acts as a leading indicator (not always) on daily moves.
Bhargav, how does the aquis trading relate to here, does aquis have a bigger spread and does it indicate whether we will see a rise or drop here?
Aquis is aiming for 5.80p

@Tugmaster, cont'd
Obviously, spend some time on the company website. And watch the Flagstaff interviews with Brad, particularly the most recent one, 25th March.

If we can go to the Mining Journal Show in July with good results from Pepas then this will get very very interesting. I have no problem with a fund raise at all, once the share price has recovered. We were sitting at around 8.5p last April before C&M arrived to put the brakes on. I agree that 10p is an easy short term target.
I don't think anybody minds too much if it's going in the ground, results are being reported and the company is moving forward. People forget as well that Omi have a green angle as well with lithium in Nigeria and Tin in Brazil....the company has been in limbo since c&m to be on the cusp of coming out of that is exciting.
Hi, Tugmaster
One very basic difference between GGP and OMI is market cap; £315m for GGP, £11m for OMI. Small caps rise and fall faster than large caps. So if both companies receive good news, the rise will be greater here.
Once upon a time, of course, GGP had a market cap of less than a million; but that's ancient history now.
There'll be a fund-raise after some good drill results; that's my guess.
