Like me, each of you need to do your homework in to the Directors. Just my opinion but the below story tells me Obtala is not their focus. Someone told me they only found themselves in this position because they inadvertently built up a pa position by default. https://www.dealstreetasia.com/stories/hk-based-diginex-picks-75-stake-in-digital-hedge-fund-bletchley-park-112364/
Do your homework
Heavy director buying imho means shares are undepinned at this level.....need some news on demerger/sale of non-core assets then this will start to re-rate......insider directors know the game plan
ps. a rising trend will be when the 50 day exponential moving average crosses above the 100 day ema, or short term... the 20 day ema crosses above the 50 day.
At the moment they are all heading down in parallel lines!!! Not even challenging one another, in fact the 20day is diverging lower and away from the 50 day!
Just because price is near its all time low of 4.88p doesn`t mean it won`t break it to the downside. And when there is a juicy price to buy the MM`s and the manipulators cut you out, so you can`t buy at the price you want anyway!
Sick of being faffed around in the past by this stock and its weird trading patterns, so its a great feeling looking to add the relatively small funds I had tied up here to be released into my proper, sensible trading plans, and to grow them.
Which after all, is what its all about!
When the trend changes, my view will change.
Good luck all.
Yep, market says no!
I`m a trader, been in and out of OBT over the years and sick of `positive news` driving the price down!
So many other shares out there going up 10-20-30% in a matter of days or weeks, so I`m only interested in rising tides from now on, or much better prospects with gold or oil companies medium term.
Price fall again today here because of background negatives ie Govt restrictions in Mozambique etc.
It doesn`t matter how many shares MP buys because that just looks like he`s not telling the whole story.
3000 shares on the LSE and many are far far more enticing than this one, otherwise the price would be rising.
The market doesn`t lie, so like I say...until OBT show a solid rising trend I won`t be back in.
If it does, I will be timing my buys, because I cant see a major re-rating here anytime soon.
And I don`t care if I`m wrong and caught out missing a decent spike because it will be sold into quickly as sure as eggs are eggs.
I`ll take my chances on shares where the price chart gives better readable signals.
This one is a `catching a falling knife` gamble! So I`ll stay out until news and market reaction says its time to think about getting back in.
Good luck.
Really? Now?!

ps...unless the trend turns upwards!
And not interested in trying to call the bottom, thats a mugs game.
I`ll come back in when the market believes the hype.
Finally decided to leave this story, fed up with not being able to sell when I want, or buy when I want, its been happening here for a long time...the most frustrating share I have ever known.
I got out on the last spike and put the funds into SOLG, a far better proposition for the coming months.
Fed up with the price being manipulated and faffed around with outsized spreads.
My funds are much safer elsewhere, I made a good profit in these before but am not confident about the future share price. They seem to be saying that its all looking good but have been saying that for too long.
Wasn`t my biggest holding in my portfolio but ran out of confidence when there are so many others in a rising trend.
Good luck to the faithful... but I`m out!
I see a case for 4.8p bottom. But debatable whether you can buy there so this looks a decent place to position build.
Trading sub-assets.
Chart wise it looks a good place to be buying. I did a small buy myself today too.
Taken an initial position in here.
Seems to be valued for an investor-screwing delisting. Which seems unlikely.
Will increase once I think it's bottomed. Could be a fun ride.
Do you not think that if MP really believed in OBT stock then he's be actually buying OBT stock just like all you Joe Bloggs's?
Instead he's buying some derivative of the stock which he's able to do because of his priveleged position in the complex web of a corporate structure which he and his cronies have set up.
Does that not ring any alarm bells at all?
The SP has cratered to 6p from 20p or so. It's not as illogical as you think.

OBT is the most illogically priced share on AIM. MP buying up preference shares like there is no tomorrow. Large increase in revenues following Woodbois acquisition. Finance arranged. Yet we are still close to all time lows and sitting at approximately 30% of where we were 12-18 months ago. Maybe there is some truth to the posts about MP looking to take the company private for a song, even if it didn't come across like that in his interview. Frustrated would be an understatement!!
I seem to recall in a recent proactive interview, he explained he wasnt taking the company private. he just knows an outstanding bargain when he sees one. Will try and dig it out when possible.
Yes he has deep pockets and maybe if things do not pick up he will take things private again at this price it looks a bargain. But unless he offers well into double figures most of us will be very unhappy?
Another buy from MP. This guy has some pockets!
Some sense in the market.
Seems a good initial reaction to the raise.
Very positive.
Only a small dilution of 5% which will provide funds to step change the company via the trading side which is where OBT will make the most profit.
The name change is also very positive as it makes sense to use a name well know in the wood industry.
New bod members is encouraging, especially as the current person running Woodbois is one of them with a huge amount of experience.
And once again MP is buying more shares via the fund raise.
Chart wise 5p area has large support so Im guessing the decline will reverse from this level.
All in all, very pleased.
Added a few more at 5.9p
Maybe time to add a few more?
Maybe now things will properly move forward. Pelham clearly wants this to grow and be cash positive.
Not sure why you brought-up Urals Urraca but you'll be aware it cratered again this week. Ouch, I feel your pain. Kinda :-)
It may be cruel but Darwinian principles apply to investing also. This has much less to do with tree-hugging than it does intelligence and the avoidance of being duped.
FYI I did indeed warn very clearly that OBT would fall to single digits many months ago. Sorry about that.
Urraca, he`s just an argumentative troll, posts on about 20 discussions rattling peoples cages and getting blocked. Probably looks for shares that have falling sp`s then joins in the deramping, its just a tactic to pick up cheap shares that traders use. He knows the revenues are rising here and everything is in place for a good % bounce from this support level in the 5p`s.
Waiting for the funding RNS probably.
Post when the shares are falling, then disappears when its going up, like he did when Miles Pelham was buying millions of £ worth recently.
Claims to be concerned about deforestation but just a player wanting cheap shares!
Ignore.
Bottmz, do you recall if 4kandles was posting on OBT when it was in the mid-teens, warning people to bail? I wouldn't know, as I noy got in when the price cratered, and the CEO started hoovering up vast quantities. Just like I've only got into UEN in the last week or so, when the price there crashed. 4kandles has been gloating over there too. While it doesn't always work, there is very good money to be made when shares get oversold. Be greedy when others are fearful, as one small time investor likes to say, although I guess 4kandles would not count him as a 'smart' person to identify. He's only Warren Buffett.
I have no idead if 4kandles really is a tree-hugger. But he certainly exhibits all the smug insufferable sanctimonious utter conviction that he is right that make those types such poor company. Our very own BB pocket Owen Jones.
