Sorry Axis !!
Seems an offer is on the table from Axa for around £7, saw this on Bloomberg, If true, will be sorry to see this one go, has been a good dividend payer over the years.
Such a great move by this co. Price was mates rates this am only one way from now. Might even get a special in the second quarter make up for the one we missed on the finals GLA.
The main impact should be the one off profit and reserving impact. If they continue to provide reinsurance for impacted classes then they need to ensure that subsequent pricing builds in the change in Ogden rate - if not they should walk away from the business. The magnitude of the change was not helpful as unexpected.
I bet she sold her portfolio a few days before her crazy announcement!!! This so called Tory government seem to have many untory ideas inc.raiding our divis . Think its time to relocate to a better tax area. They tell me Cyprus is the place ????!!
Thank you Liz Truss. Today's announcement will cost the insurance industry a fortune but, of course, these costs will be eventually met by the consumer.
Good aspect to get into - obviously a growth area

And I see two brokers have today come out with either buy or add recommendations and 9.00 or above price targets.

Look pretty good to me. Can't see quite why there was an early morning drop, though it has now recovered. Maybe it's just because it's August and volatility is often high due to thin trading.
Don't miss the big climb to results buy buy GLA.😎
And broker re-rate..
Excellent results!
interest on this board!! Wake up folk, this is going places
Aiming for £9 ish one would have thought
Yes look quite good, as long as they are not just writing for premium income? No large cataspheres though, not sure how much exposure they have to that?
Again look good. Interim dividend up 10.6% to 7.3p per share (H1 2014: 6.6p per share).
and goes ex-divi on 15 May for both (final & special) Good results. Good financials Potential takeover target. This is looking good!
Good set of results hence rise today. Dividend increased by 10.2% and a 20p special dividend also announced.
Brit and Catlin already bid for. Novae looks like tasty, relatively small fry for someone as part of this industry consolidation? Amlin is the other likely one, but broker views on that seem more mixed and I suspect downside there might be greater from its current highs.
