did you see the LSE pre-open this morning? 4.5p! There's as many on 11p but that's the first time I've seen 4.5p - guessing some are on the fence as to which way this will go
Let the games begin, sell £40k and knock £1mill of the value of the company....
my guess is the same guy who used spreadex - forgotten his name but it used be on those holding RNS's two years or so back, I think.. but no longer is - to buy a few per cent of this co. and then sell down into any rallies of previous years - did this more than once and pretty successfully I think - tried to do the same again one more time recently.. but is in the process of throwing in the towel now and dumping a lot in the 11 to 8 or 7p or whatever ? range ... taking a hit in the process no doubt but he did fairly well previously.. so in the round he's ok still.. (as this hasn't rallied - in spike fashion even- up recently and there's a question mark over what happend here next year .. re funding..etc.. and so he's gotten scared and is bailing over a few week period in and around now.... ( I use that recent spreadex partial sell down Holdings RNS to back up this guess )
half a mill just gone at 9p... bid dropped to 8.25p FFS
What's people's thoughts..
Are we like the lambs who have just arrived at the abattoir awaiting the inevitable...
Or are we on the phone waiting to confirm our six lottery numbers...gla
Theres a certain arrogance with the US traded shares - it’s nothing to do with company fundamentals, but mostly supposed stock manipulation by a handful of investors and much phycobabble that can spook investors either way. Very fickle but also useful when there’s a whiff of good news.
Announcement of the consolidation of their Adr's from 5 to 1 to 25 to 1 and then the fear of a fund raise.....that's what the posters are saying......but, like all boards, who are the posters and have the an agenda ?..gal
why the drop in US MTP?
Remember 9p = 51c and 10p = 57c so hopefully not too much. Stamp needs to provide certainty
It will drop in the morning
Hope it holds up here tomorrow
Yep, just f..king with peoples heads, roll on a deal, if its a placing instead, then so be it, nowt we can do now anyway..gla
This week in the US - $1.04 to 0.47c - sudden sharp moves.
Stamp needs to steady the ship
Yep, see it, just the normal....kinda stating the obvious..gla
scrolled to the bottom of the RNS - all there - including talk of TP
Didn't see it either, but let's face it, no deal means money needed...
It's 50/50 here...no deal = fund raise= diluting
Deal = money = certainty = sp rise....gla
I didn't see this? Reported by MarketWatch... where did MTPH mention anything about "material uncertainty"...?! Cash on hand seems pretty healthy
By Ian Walker
Midatech Pharma PLC said Wednesday that it will need extra financing during the first quarter of next year, which casts a "material uncertainty" on the company's ability to continue as a going concern.
The drug-delivery technology company--which is listed in the U.K. and U.S.--said that it is currently looking into a number of near-term funding options including a fundraising and a partnership for its assets and technologies.
Midatech had cash and cash equivalents of 6.4 million pounds ($7.4 million) at June 30.
The company made the disclosure as it reported a slightly narrowed net loss for the half year ended June 30 of GBP3.1 million compared with a loss of GBP3.2 million for the same period a year earlier.
Revenue for the period rose to GBP468,000 from GBP401,000.
could be... seems odd to have had that sudden 2m+ trading blitz in the US and now nothing! Certainly something going on in the background.
As I've said on stockwits, maybe a deal on the cards and just getting the Adr's into the high dollars as the big funds don't like to deal in cent shares..gla
Or just a big placing on its way..lol
Up 40%
...
....
so frustrating... decent numbers considering, like you say, just needs meat on the bones! Someone with over 200k holdings got impatient it seems...
Just needa deal now..gla
with the USD at huge lows ($1.15/£) 13p is only 74.75! This should move quickly if the USA anticipates news - possible next week with their CSO heading to ESMO. GLA
