Oh dear Mr Delboy deramper had a bad morning with your weak sell rating so you can buy in cheap. I do agree the £1+ target are way out of whack with reality considering the current sentiment on AIM. We hit oil on every well and i think 50p is possible but i expect one or two dusters. 15-20p for me would be fabulous result but with the high risk involved with a company that historically specialises in dusters this remains a risk mitigated punt only due to the high CoS of the wells we are drilling this summer.

£1+ as soon as MATD hits oil. No question about it.
I guess the current price doesn't matter. Hopefully we will get there guys.

Oh dear at it again I see....Seriously this won't go anywhere near that even if they hit oil...Years of SP dilution, woeful mismanagement & the gradual realisation by many that this is a lifestyle company all equal heavy negative sentiment in the market towards this company. If we hit (and its a bloody big if)...We'll be lucky to mirror BLOE

Yes, we're not here to make loose change.......but to be in one of those sticks that can potentially be 'hit out of the ball park', for a Mega price rise.

Placing
Mon 20:03
.Time will tell, but I’m sure others like me and you who have traded Oiler’s for years know that they always seem
To raise the money as UKOG, Angus, RRL and Rmp to name just a few have always done, RMP just a few months ago Funnily enough in the run up to a drill so would have funds in case of a duster......
But enough said.....hope I’m wrong and we hit oil and I’m a lot lot richer.....but Currently I’m 75/25 that they’ll be a placement in next month.

Firstly, it is 100% COS and not 75%. Simply there is no CEO who would declare it even he is absolutely sure.
Secondly, if you would even slightly move your brains, you would think: can really Mike make the placement now, even if he very wants it and at what price he could do it? The last placement for 10p which was very successful for him has turned out to be disastrous for investors. Do you really think that Mike is just as incapable of moving his brains so that he does not understand that if he tries to do it again and right now, then this time the disaster will happen to him and not to investors? This why time can tell nothing about placement. But can show to all of us quite soon our first and inevitable strike of oil.

What a shame when a decent discussion was being had, as is meant to be on these boards,
That once again someone who doesn’t like a point of view has to come along swearing.
The number of gushers, ‘can see oil on ground’ etc etc, indeed many said of wild horse , that then turn out to be
dusters. Quite correct Mr Buck has said he’s fully funded for all four drills, but no others after that.
75% is not 100%, so any CEO worth his salt would prepare for worst just in case....
And rather it’s at 7p than sub 2p.........I won’t resort to profanities.....but just a common sense opinion,
From a very heavily invested. Realist......time will tell....

It is difficult to restrain and not to say f..k off to those idiots who periodically appear here and begin to spread not even their own but someone’s stupid opinion. Why on earth should the company be doing the placement when the CEO himself several times already has announced we are fully funded for this year 4 drilling programme and with so high COS as never before. And why do these creatures are dumping negativity here I don’t quite understand. Perhaps this is why some of our such true Matadors as 1020PM, Paul60, D1nger, Cormie, Spainish and others either stopped commenting at all or doing it very rarely. Apparently, I will also should do the same. When we are on the threshold of our most joyful day which inevitably approaches it is much better enjoy wonderful summer wether instead of engaging in any disputes with idiots.

blissful - Although I agree with the fundamentals raised in your post, there are still too many variables which cannot be priced in until they come to fruition in my opinion. I believe that Heron is pivotal to changing market sentiment and getting that right is imperative to getting us off to the right start. If Heron (I use the word 'if' as its not a 'sure thing' even though cos is 75%+) delivers, then we should see an SP re-rate almost immediately.

That's irrespective of the value it would add with regards to increasing confidence and sentiment with the drills to follow almost immediately (as this would be hard to measure monetarily). As mentioned, this has to be one of the most exciting prospects in market based on the upcoming activity and opportunity it has to offer. The patient shall be rewarded here... All IMO of course...

If Heron 1 comes in as planned I would think Mike Buck will be in talks with Petro China almost immediately to agree terms for unitisation. This is not just my opinion but MB has already said that PC will be open to talks if and when PM strike oil. As we have a bigger share of the potential oil I imagine we hold the aces. Thus, we will be able to develop Heron extremely cheaply and have an almost instant road to funding. First though, we need oil in Heron.
MB has stated that Block XX was the back up to last year's two drills and should have been drilled then. He gave 75% CoS because he said, that is the highest you can give but added he felt it was higher.
He has also hinted at a farm in partner, and this is my opinion only, I bet Petro China will be one of the companies who will want to be in if any other wells have oil in them.
A placing now would be like saying that the company had no faith in a positive result at Heron - who would subscribe to that unless it was extremely cheap and that would annoy current institutional investors, most who are in at 10p? No, Mike Buck appears very confident of oil at Heron and I doubt he has changed his mind.

There is an estimated 40 days from drill mobilisation to logging. I anticipate if funds are to be raised it would most likely be closer to the end of that 40 day period. From a strategic perspective this would ensure they maximise in the SP as it should be closest to its peak (pre results) IMO.

That being said, I agree with SirBob regarding fund raising prior to results as I have seen this time and time again across a number of oil companies. Until the official announcement comes out it's all rumours and assumptions which don't usually work well with AIM in my experience... Until then, looking forward to rig mobilisation news early next week followed by a flow of updates regarding all sites! GLA

I think they will wait at least after Heron that has pretty good chances for success, also need at least one of the wells to come in to even get the funds i would imagine

Placing
Mon 10:02
I do like the instant chastising of any poster who dares mention placing.
However if the next drill is a duster, share price will be sub 2p and they won’t want to risk raising funds at those prices and indeed it makes no business sense.
So a placing is highly likely prior to drill results, as being fully funded for these drills is true, but they need to think ahead to the bad situation if we fail to hit oil and fund future drills.
I for one would rather we diluted at 7p or above rather than 2p or less....and yes, I hold hundreds of thousands of these.

Fully funded for 4 drills. Lovely jubbly.

Appraisal wells with 75% cos or higher.

No other oil explorer in such a strong position financially and operationally

More punters to come in coming days imo

I completely disagree that a placing is a certainty. They have already stated numerous times that they are fully funded for the next 4 Wells however let's pretend for a moment the first 2 Wells have negative results they may then seek further funding in my opinion. If one of the first 2 Wells have very positive results they will most definitely not seek funding and likely be bought out. The question tho is will the next 2 Wells be successful or not. If one of them are successful the SP will rocket.

Its just the opinion of a blogger....nothing more. We are fully funded for our 4 wells and when they gush we will probably get bought out before we can even think of raising any cash
