I think ITV need not worry about the competition, Kevin Lygo has just scuppered sales of Mr Bates. Why worry about promoting your shows when Mr Lygo tells the world your top show is a loser. I can't stop laughing, who needs enemies when they have Lygo on board, what a waste of space!

I've just been reading that ITV lost £1M on its agenda setting drama Mr Bates verses The Post Office !
So they apparently said at the "Voice of the Listener & Viewer spring conference on Wednesday"
I hope Mirriad (MIRI) had someone at the conference & spoke to ITV to tell them help is on the way & that they can increase there revenue stream significantly with virtual product placements that streamers will not be able to avoid etc as it fit seamlessly into the program itself. Rather than being a separate break Ad.
Check it out, it seems to be future of advertising
LOTM
Trolls in action. Today's day on this forum clearly shows our local troll company, multiple accounts of the Russian troll & others. This is good, because it is easy to finally see the true face of certain "people" and the mutual connections of certain accounts. Although this is not yet a complete picture of this entire company, it shows its scale. For those who are curious, I recommend using AI to compare comments and indicate percentage similarities. In any case, it's nice to read this gibberish, which also proves that financial failure hurts and errors in judgment cost money.
Life goes on. "The dogs are barking, the caravan is moving on."
With her on the throne, if a bid ever developed at say, £2.50, the SP would drop. Toms correct. Her performance or lack of it will not be going unnoticed. It depends on who she takes down with her that matters to some. Corrupt to the gunnels the lot of them.
Rhyl beautiful today thank you. Even the local zombies are on the beach licking ice cream or something similar.
Jed, Both you and I cannot hope to know what the big institutional investors are discussing. They are the majority shareholders. They can initiate change. If the Dame's abysmal performance is obvious to you and I. If the ITV staff are fed up with the cronies at the top. That news will have filtered back to the big investors.
The AGM would be the place for her to step down. I am an optimist and live in hope that Dame McCall finally sees sense and calls it a day on a sheet show
Tom, I don't disagree with anything you have said or defend the Dame, I am just saying no matter what you call her or say on here it doesn't look as if she or other members of the board are going anywhere. If your not happy with the SP you either sit it out or sell at a loss and move on. Simple as that.
Well said OMalley. May the sun shine on Rhyl today.
Taking 20 million from the business for a performance that barely rates a 1million p.a. reward is tantamount to theft. She should have foregone her bonuses from year 1. Greedy, corrupt, narcissist who covered up sexual abuse in the workforce. She needs to get the boot.
The whole McCall episode stinks. A liar, a crook, a dud. She's hangs around like a bad smell along with her team of parasites.
It would not surprise me one dot if it became apparent that she's being protected to cover the depth of corruption within the board and other deadbeats higher up the ladder.
In relation to her performance as a CEO she should have gone years ago when it was blindingly obvious she's out of her depth.
Defending the indefensible. All the old gits line up to defend the Dame's honour.
Yet the facts speak for themselves. She wiped 10 billion off the valuation of the company. She took 20 million in remuneration which is undeserved and way out of line with CEO's of similar valuation companies with better performance (check out Greggs CEO).
She put a known sexual predator back on air (the Sun newspaper had meetings with ITV back in 2020 where they showed McCall and the board photographs and evidence of Schofield's relationship with the runner). She then went to Parliament and in front of the regulators lied and spun them stories that she knew to be untrue. She covered up her msitakes with a whitewash inquiry.
She has to go along with her EZJ cronies at the AGM.
Keep up the good work Tom.
I am convinced that Windbag is a McCall mole.
The numbers tell the story, McCall is hopeless.
Good morning tom, well your still at it.
ITV is run by the board and not 1 person, all these plans are jointly discussed and passed by the board for the long term of ITV .At present there are no big shareholders that can put the knife in or order any changes. Now that's their plan and their NOT going anywhere no matter how much you spout on about it. You have to play the system shut up or move on simple.
Oh dear Tom. Once again the art of tautology is not lost on you. You are slightly better than a night cap zzzzzzzzzzz
Negative rhetoric swaying some?
I think most people are wise enough to see through the positive BS that Winnie, Solley and Janus promote.
The Dame has wiped over 10 billion of the share price. She has been paid over 20 million to do that. One of the highest remuneration packages of the FTSE 100 and yet this is FTSE250.
The share price has remained half its real value for most of her tenure and will stay rooted to the bottom until she and her cronies go. The problem is that there is no accountability at ITV. Like a Divine right she remains and nobody can move her on. No vote can topple her. Liz Truss came and went yet similarly incompetent Mccall rides it out. Her performance related bonus are fixed and not related to the SP and overall valuation of the comany
Ditch the Panto Dame

Interesting to see what happens next - will the RNS tonight maintain the flatlining or will it bounce back into average daily value around £1m...
Apologies, Janus1
Although, one maintains the idiots negative rhetoric is swaying some.
Winstanley.
“You know yourself, Tom, Janus1 was taken in by your tomfoolery”
Sorry but I have never been taken in or made any decision based on a That idiot. I sold (at the wrong time) based on negating risk and to take advantage of off setting tax liabilities. I am the owner of my own decisions and over the years I have done pretty well. I still read these posts as I can see a time when I will reinvest but not until the next update or results are published, if they are good and the share rises(I hope it does) then for me an opportunity is lost, but as we all know there is a sea of other opportunities out there. For me there too many uncertainties at the moment.
What is interesting is that Tomtit is still goading and getting reasonable posters to turn on each other. Same technique he has used for years. He lost at EasyJet, he lost here, he has nothing to invest apart from continuing to spread rumour and dissent.
As previously said good luck to genuine investors.
Ah, so you haven't taken to the nickname "robthenob," have you? It seems you're quite content when the humour is directed by yourself isn't that right? And here you are, once again, with your trademark Tom-style response, waxing poetic about ITV's miraculous past, who could forget that fateful day in January 2018, awaiting its salvation? But pray tell, where do you suppose that share price would be now without the visionary leadership you so passionately dismiss. Surely, lost in the abyss of technological upheaval. Oh, the irony of it all. How amusing.
Well, isn't it hilarious how someone of your obvious low caliber fails to recognise the merit in salvaging a struggling FTSE company? Clearly, turning around a ship destined to sink doesn't count as an achievement in your book.
Windy, Robthe nob, how witty you are, not funny! But what is hilarious is your statement that ITV were struggling when in January 2018 the gaff prone posh bird arrived. On that day the share price was a struggling £1.67p and the company was ready for it's new broom so to speak. So what happened next, well Windy the Dame certainly got hold of reins and burst into action. From that lowly share price of 167p she went tooth and nail into turning ITV around, well Windy I won't bother trying to educate that vacant space between your ears, I will let today's close of 70p portray what she has achieved......a fall of 60% plus over six years. What a turn around, what a plonker!
Robs60,
...or should one say robthenob,
Well, isn't it hilarious how someone of your obvious low caliber fails to recognise the merit in salvaging a struggling FTSE company? Clearly, turning around a ship destined to sink doesn't count as an achievement in your book. It might be time to toughen up, either double down on your investment or gracefully bow out of your streak of losses, old chap.
PS
'As if any investor would sell their ITV stake because of a post from Wimbledon Tom, or me or you for that matter.'
You know yourself, Tom, Janus1 was taken in by your tomfoolery.
Attention, new investors: Be wary of WimbledonTom's motives, aimed at impeding ITV's advancement. His persistent attacks on the CEO, are his primary tactic. He frequently adopts alternate pseudonyms. Those who recently sold their shares, before results, because they were influenced by his nonsense are no doubt regretting it.
Winstanley or should I should I say Windbag, I find your disregard to others is brought about by your ignorance and high opinion of yourself. As if any investor would sell their ITV stake because of a post from Wimbledon Tom, or me or you for that matter. You style of investing is a road to the poor house and your belief that McCall is a great CEO shows how dumb you are.
What a joke, someone who thinks destroying the value of a FTSE company by 70% is a great achievement, time you cashed in your chips me old mate, you are demeneted!
Only 17k in buyback today and about 400k in two days. Volume in last days as the same average level. As we know JP Morgan which is responsible for buyback is working for private investors too. Is it the reason so small buyback 'volume, I don't know. 9th May is coming soon...
She must stay:
Dame Carolyn McCall's tenure at EasyJet coincided with a crucial period of economic recovery, undoubtedly contributing to her favorable reputation during that time. Her ability to navigate market forces and steer EasyJet towards success reflects her strategic prowess and adaptability. While some may perceive her as disconnected or out of touch, her leadership qualities and experience in managing a large corporation are undeniable assets. Under her guidance, ITV has undoubtedly faced challenges, but it's essential to acknowledge her efforts to address shareholder concerns through initiatives like the buyback, demonstrating a commitment to long-term sustainability. Rather than dismissing her achievements as mere luck or circumstance, it's worth recognizing her contributions and considering how her expertise can continue to benefit ITV's future trajectory.

The City see Dame Carolyn McCall as an old woke elitist who lost her way after riding the market forces at Easyjet, Her time at Easyjet was from 2010 to 2017. Well timed Carolyn as the world recovered from the 08/09 meltdown Carolyn looked good as the rising tide raised her boat along with every other in the water.
To anyone with a jot of acumen, it is clear she gained her spurs by default and every week that goes by we are reminded that she has made ITV into a Woke Joke and this buyback is a farce. She claimed that the buyback would benefit long suffering shareholders who have seen their investment shrink like a pound shop pair of knickers! Every ITV thread is sick of her, she has proved that her Easyjet success was nothing to do with her and all to do with a Global recovery, she has no clue, another old posh bird riding on the kerosine fumes of her time at Easyjet. She must go and soon if ITV are to recover from her six years of abject failure.
Could not put it any better Omalley, well said !!
She forced this SP down to 70p with her "well paid" for bad decisions/management.
Sack the CEO and the BODs now!
It appears the general feeling is that if ITV get shut of the gutter snipes the SP will respond positively. I'm convinced.
What is it that she's actually achieved that somebody on half her salary couldn't have ? What makes her so special to deserve being paid over 20 million to trash the SP ? I'm lost for words how anybody could support her.
