Although it will go up in the LT but I guess it will drop back to £1 or below in the short term..

Agree this week and next will be a real test. I’m amazed at how well the sp has withstood the onslaught of the shorters. I sold my entire holding Friday and will watch on the sidelines for a few days to see what unfolds. Long term this will fully recover to £3+

Bandit, hopefully no abuse on this forum - I have enjoyed your posts.

It will be interesting to see how well the share stands up today, as I think it may come under a little pressure this week.

Long term though - I'm confident..

Good Luck and hopefully see you back here soon

Bandit, well put!, my take on this is a recovery play, not short term but long, have a fair chunk here, but feel over time, stability will result in reinstating dividends, but take on board your realistic and valid points!

The future is uncertain.......

As someone with a healthy risk appetite it was a tough decision for me to sell-out this week as I had high hopes for IRV's recovery. The more I read about high debt levels, wafer thin margins, sector disaffection, new IFS rules for revenue recognition, it made me reassess my investment. Even the short positions ( over 0.5%) increased during the week, albeit marginally, when I expected it to reduce. As part of my assessment, the sad demise of Carillion could mean that the government will be ultra cautious about renewing/awarding new business to IRV until they reduce their debt pile (£535m) against a market cap of £180m. Why would civil servants risk awarding new contracts to them at this time? Do I think IRV will survive - yes I do and hopefully it will prosper but there could be a tricky few months ahead. I would like to see the short positions and debt levels reduce and the Banks renewing their facilities with covenants set at a sensible level so we don't see a breach only after a few months. There is a good chance I will re-invest here again so I will avoid posting until I do save to avoid a plethora of abuse which often follows a negative but, well meaning post,

Not worth having the jitters or sleepless nights on this one. There’s a reasnoable probability of it being hit, mainly with the knock-on effect of banks tightening credit facilities, suppliers wanting tighter payment terms, new contracts being lost. Suppliers, banks and government - once bitten twice shy! A FTSE 100 company like Shire has huge 12 month growth potential and minimal downside risk. What’s the point in taking unnecessary risk? Money is hard earned, be careful on your decisions.

Up nicely. Thankfully the hedge funds having succeeded yet. Can’t help but wonder what might happen when they buy back

I would concur £2 + at end of year

I have been following IRV for a long time now - the specific problems have been well documented, but Interserve haven't turned into a bad company overnight. Plenty of scope for improvement no doubt and future growth. Hard lessons learned.

Sad for Carillion, but that headline will soon be overtaken by other news and the focus will move elsewhere.

We all have the jitters now and again and day to day there may be ups & downs, but longer term - IRV are only going up in my opinion.

Although I'm thinking that if they went down short term (say 10p plus) - it would be good for me - as I will increase my investment.

Must admit to having the jitters right now. I have a substantial holding and I’m up 20%. Yesterday was horrible and not sure I want to endure many more like that. I’m expecting £2 by year end
