I've re-read the RNS as at first I thought the the crane upgrade was at the yard in anticipation of the work. But what it actually says is, "Fabrication work has already commenced on a major crane upgrade that will be required on the vessel once she is in the dock." And that one in the picture has a crane. So could be....
Oldtramp, good find that one ,nice buy for them should make decent return on that investment imho
Yeah, I saw that one, OT. That's the only one that has Entsha in it's name. But the prefix MT denotes a tanker.
ATM, it's off Cameroon. Don't tell Chitta, though, as it's quite near Nigeria. ;)
Could be this one Si ?

I guess cos those big ol' canucks went and busted her. :)
Guessing it's a propulsion issue though, if it's being towed.
Can't find any reference to the other tanker, the MT Entsha, that's heading to Appledore, though.
Lot of activity around barrow ,helicopters and planes flying around the bay
Why is a relatively new ship that is based in Canada and works solely in Canada being towed across the Atlantic to Belfast ?

Long way to bring a ship just to be stood there don't you think
Given the various update by the company and the government this week, the valuation of the companies assets is more assured and sound. Thus, I feel a per share value is around or just below the current price. With that in mind, no potential upside is discounted. To not put any value on any of the major opportunities is strange. The seller continues to be very aggressive. Volumes have been very high in the last week which emboldens my optimism.
OK Stokey
Stokey hydrogen storage ship comes to mind for shipping to mainland Grimsby maybe??
spudtheplumber ref 08.51 post I am not sure that is right. It may be the case that the client does not want anything said about what is being done on the ship. I would observe that the loss of revenue while it is laid up runs into the millions so I doubt that it would be laid up for three and a half months unless it was necessary.
John Wood,
June Update : "we are building a significant pipeline of opportunities "
September Update : " we have laid the firm foundations for rapid growth and the build-up of a contractual pipeline for 2022 and beyond "
well, ..everything is there for the taking.... may the wind now blow into the sails.. as they say
Stokey, if they were working on Azura they would have mentioned it and there would have been pics on social media imo.
A bit like the 3 viking cruise ships, looks good on the dock....
BlairPeach ref 07.56 post I noted the rather curious wording in relation to the Azura I have just looked again at my photos from my recent visit to Belfast. While no men working on the quayside there are indications of work such as containers adjacent to the Azura mid way down the length of the ship. In addition while there I saw a taxi drop somebody off and there was at least one person in High Visibility coveralls. The impression I got was that what ever work that was going on was going on inside the ship.
Market can’t ignore us for much longer this is well overdue a re rate from these absurd levels, should be trading nearer 30 at least come on market wakey wakey
"Hosting" Azura, what it that supposed to mean, she has been there for 3 months?! Free parking to excite the share-holders? Certainly I saw no sign of any work on her in July.

Some more on this
Excellent Update and well done to those that called
Dorset Spirit !!
I was not expecting this RNS as we are due a trading update at the end of the month. That said this is welcome news. I note that INFA have passed the initial stage for two tenders totalling £1.8bn both of which they have a reasonable chance of getting in my opinion. Interesting what was said about the Virgin cruise ship. The Appledore contract sounds interesting as well could it be a conversion as the fabrication halls are being used.

John Wood, CEO of InfraStrata plc commented on today's announcement: "We are delighted to make this announcement today, signalling the end of upgrade and reactivation phases. With the new national shipbuilding strategy due to be released in the autumn and the government's 10-point plan for a Green Industrial Revolution, we have confidence that the shipbuilding and fabrication business will deliver substantial value to all our stakeholders as we enter this exciting new stage of building our multiyear backlog of projects.
Since acquiring Harland & Wolff in December 2019, we have seen the organisation grow significantly; in August 2020 we reopened what is now known as Harland & Wolff (Appledore) and in February 2021, we acquired two ex-BiFab sites based in Scotland - now renamed Harland & Wolff (Arnish) and Harland & Wolff (Methil) respectively giving us one of the largest fabrication footprints dedicated to our core markets, in addition to two of the largest drydocks in Europe which at 80% capacity could give sales of in excess of £500m per annum when operational efficiencies have been achieved.
Should land our first UK defence contract in the next few weeks at 8 minutes in - correlates with the above mentioned UK governments 10 point plan for green industrial revolution due to be released in the autumn and also the US UK Australia agreement
Several ship deal commencing in October at 9 minutes in

Social value is key in tender assessment
Boris Johnson has had plenty to occupy himsel with cabinet shuffle and deal with USA and Australia so I would have suspected his meeting with John Wood wasn't just a small talk chat over a few apprentices. The smile on Woods face spoke volumes so I'm expecting something to reflect all the money they have and still are spending..The large ship coming from Canada is intriguing and conversion to a regasification vessel springs to mind .
Good news Bubble the more work for all the available yards the better!!
Bubble2021 ref 18.48 post Do not get your hopes up if he is going to a BAe plant then he is unlikely to say anything of benefit to a competitor.
