Strategic resource investor Michael Gentile believes investors are being offered an historic opportunity in Gold Stocks right now.
Food for thought there speedy cheers, would love to see £5 in quick succession! Unlikely, but who knows 🤷♂️ we’re in a bull cycle now, none of which has been witnessed by most of the generations alive today.
You need the Brits as well as gold miner shares. We are in a super mineral cycle which started in 2020 which will last to 2035 at top of the cycle. Average super cycle lasts on average 29years from the bottom to back to the bottom of the cycle. We are in the best position of the super cycle which is on the rise and as we go into production we will be increasing the gold amount to 300000 oz per year at the same time the POG and copper is also increasing as long as the energy is not increasing at the same rate. In the future we will be at the top rate of production and much higher POG which will provide funding for the development of the bulk caving project and going into higher production while we will be still on the upward curve of the super cycle, would be nice if the total production is more than 500000 oz/yr by year 2029, still hope to be here at that date Lord permitting. Hi Joubert. Financial assets will certainly not retain value nor will many other assets including bonds and most of the derivative and debt market will see total failure. Necessities, food, agricultural land. homes etc will hold value but not many assets will outdo gold in a re rate. ATB Speedy
Hi Trippy. Holding GGP stock is a leveraged but not risk free bet on the POG. When the POG re rates to catch up on 100 years of suppression (say x 5) the returns on GGP will be multiples of that (say x 10) and GGP is not yet priced in as a producer. If GGP is worth say 50p on production the re rate should see a SP of £5. These figs do not take into account inflation and are pure speculation and are just to give a idea of what a re rate in the POG means for GGP.
The commodities supercycle is back with a vengeance if copper’s performance since the start of the month is anything to go by.
London Metal Exchange (LME) three-month copper touched $9,640.50 per metric ton on Monday, its highest trade since June 2022.
The Friday announcement of new US and UK sanctions on Russian metal may have played a role but if so it was only a bit part. Copper is on Wednesday trading just shy of that peak at $9,560.
Copper below $9,500 per ton is now cheap, according to analysts at Citi, who have raised their forecasts to an average $10,000 in the fourth quarter of this year and $12,000 in 2026....

Don't forget the copper!

244,078 15k was a buy not a sell
Still holding around 1M shares average 1.8p, just holding for the buyout or holding to become a miner. Tick tock….
I bought £3k for my ISA earlier in the week. I've got another £10k's worth on my main account that are well under water, but I'm confident of making a large profit in the years ahead!

Like paint drying waiting for this 🤣
Just for information. I Topped up a few minutes ago. I'm definitely in for a penny, in for a pound.
65,000 shares at 6.11p on HL, cost £4000.00 It brought my average down from 14.85 to 12.81.
Nice observation as always Chuff - thanks!!
Need to sell over 30k GGP shares to buy an ounce of gold.
Shaun said “we have 8.4moz” ( of course that is the equivalent value including the copper) he never mentioned the jv or a partner.
At the time of the PFS mining plan 2mt scheme the starter mine was only 8% of the ore body. The Eastern breccia has grown considerably since and the resource hasn’t grown in % term to keep 8% the same.
The starter mine is a tiny amount compared with the orebody as a whole, so yes there will be a lot of resource updates to come.
Shaun mentioned the copper price increase, I would have liked him to have described how that affects the resource size which would have been beneficial to most shareholders. This copper price is used in the gold equivalent formula to formulate the quantity, so any rise has a positive effect on the 8.4mozeq.
The gold price rise has a direct effect on the valuation of the ore in the ground, so a lower cut off grade can be used making the ore above this grade economically viable and therefore increasing the ore body size, also the internal dilution is reduced.
JD - thought you would get more out of your cricket reference 🤣
Mind you the English do not like to talk about the cricket much these days 😜
Speedy, wouldn’t it then be better to sell all my ggp holdings and just buy gold at todays price and hold that?
If I keep ggp shares and the price goes up to say, 50/60p, then I sell, I’m gonna be holding ££££’s which might be worthless by then?
"Our sharehoders should feel really confident about the opportunities ahead" is the line from the interview to stand out for me. SD is well aware many people are carrying a loss or have at least had paper profit eroded at the current SP, to say we should "feel really confident" is not a subtle message, it is as clear a signal as he can give within the confines of ongoing negotiation.
Great post again SAS - thanks!!
What a lot don’t seem to grasp here, especially the ones who are constantly whinging about what a bad job SD has done since taking over from GH, when we were at an ATH, is the fact that, back then GGP still owned 70% of Havieron, not the 30% we currently hold. That fact alone is the main reason for the demise in our SP, not SD.
So I can only assume that once we get to own a larger piece of the pie, whether that be 51%, 70% or even a 100%, that in itself should give us a large uptick in our SP.
Investors should be asking themselves this question !
How much would it have cost for GGP to get Havieron to this stage in its development if Newcrest/Newmont hadn’t come in and backed the project in the first place ?
I suspect we would of been in the same position as we were in 2019, just like Solgold are now, with no date ahead for even thinking about mine development.
The fact that Newmont have decided, thanks but no thanks, yet again, imo is fantastic news for us. Inside of five years we are within touching distance of extracting the shiny stuff out of the ground, and all I see here is folk with absolutely no idea, constantly whinging. Give your head a wobble ffs and tell all of us here just what you’ve achieved in the last five years. Probably Jack 5hit !
Speedie.
Assets are likely retain value. Its not just about Gold. It's all relative in that sense. I do agree to a point on the FIAT BTW.
Patience grasshopper Freddie2. It will take as long as it takes and i personally don't mind a month or two more than anticpated.. Theres a certain irony to it taking a little longer and i will leave consider what that means for you and your peers with your pretend shares. As regards POG and 70% we do not own...Really? Think about it !
Hi All. Gold has held its value for millennia. It is not the POG rising but the value of fiat falling. With the falling value of fiat comes higher costs based on fiat. therefore a higher cost to miners to extract ore. Inflation is a no win game apart from the creators of the fiat (central banks). They have been holding back the POG for over 100 years and are now losing control due to physical buying. When they finally get overwhelmed the POG will make up for that 100 years of suppression with a massive uplift in price and that is when the real profits will be seen. Next week or next year? no one knows but it will happen, and if you are not in the market when that happens you will be in big ,big, trouble.
It amazes me why anyone would hold wealth in fiat watching that wealth diminish when owning gold is safer and wealth enhancing. The world is waking up to that fact and about time to. ATB Speedy
