not in Asia, whats the alternative nuclear i think not given the country's weather alone,
no coal is and will stay the main power source until its possible to use solar which is still many years away, GCM are a coal miner not financier,
each to there own,, all IMHO

The chinese will, because with this joint venture idea it is GCM who does part of the financing.

There is more than enough coal in nearby Kazakhstan and Australia, in within a few years time the use of coal might be banned allover the first world.

"...no body will build/finance without..."

For me this is a nice year end rally bet, once we survive the negative Brexit vote on 12th.
- Its either a rally based on Hasinas party win, which stirrs hopes & dreams of smalltraders
- Or its a rally because Gcms successful shift to become a power generation company with steady income.

Just that "There will be no mining in Phulbari, now or in the near future. Leave it for other generations to tap and decide..." (Hasina)

THERE IS NO POWER PLANT WITHOUT COAL, no body will build/finance without a resource /supply ,
one do you think every project has stalled to date,

think it through

Gcm will trade, ship and deliver coal from everywhere possible to the Pb power plant. But they wont be allowed open pit mining in Phulbari.

Love your endless positivity! Even if this goes to 0p..., you would still praise the many possibilities, right? :))
GPback, I assume with all your averaging down (from 45p last year), this is your largest holding by now...

--------
"Why would the Chinese invest in us under that scenario?"

Because the chinese conglomerate is professionalized in building power plants. On top of that they could win more and more Gov contracts for the necessary infrastructure in Bgd. Perfect for tje silk road strategy.

Gcm will trade, ship and deliver coal from everywhere possible to the Pb power plant. But they wont be allowed open pit mining in Phulbari.

The current JD is about a power plant project, not a mine site. And the share price speaks the truth. Even if this goes to 100p, its all just because of the power plant project.
