This is the first communication I've received from Hargreaves Lansdown re: the merger. No new news I know but thought it might be helpful for someone.... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Boards of Falkland Oil & Gas and Rockhopper Exploration plc have announced that they have reached agreement on the terms of a recommended Merger. Do I need to take any action? Unless you wish to register a vote before our noon Tuesday 29th December 2015 deadline then you do not need to take any action (please see the Appendix for further information). If approved Falkland Oil & Gas Shareholders as at close of business on the 15th January 2016 will receive 0.2993 of a Rockhopper Exploration plc Share in place of each Share held. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Still warbling on about the Saudis/OPEC/oil interests/Bahrain residency etc? You're wrong again eeky aka eegbvi on this and other shares you cast your 'expert' eye on........
Well at least the US Fed interest rate farce is out of the way at its widely telegraphed 0.25%. Now we need the OP to bottom out and I suspect we're almost there re that as its unlikely the Saudis/OPEC will let Brent go much below $35/36 for long as their lowest acceptable blend price is $30 or so.
Same place it will leave Rkh IMHO, everyone needs this to happen, Fogl still has a good slice of the pie and Rkh can't easily get partners without the deal so I guess I will wait for the extra margin or not ! Pays your money takes your chance as they say ! Good luck by the way .
That's your choice !! But personally I think its a good deal for both sides except I do think the numbers should have been a bit more generous to FOGL. But dare I say it I suspect the Isobel 2 well is going very slowly BOP problems apart so the result will be late Jan. Nothing to do with the merger of course. If RKH is rebuffed where will that leave FOGL ?
Ain't having mine m8 ;-)
This one is being carefully drained to get PIs into RKH well prior to the FOGL meeting so that at the time both BoDs can rely on the yes vote. The PI shares sold wind up in friendly hands pre voting. Its the usual market deal where a company is mainly PI controlled.
this will be a done deal the merger, im hoping cos my cash has halved since !!
is pricing in a decent chance of the RKH-FOGL merger not happening now. everyday without doubt fogl do worse than rkh, despite the fact they are both doing terribly. Down another 10% today. Fogl is the new BOR. Its a one way train all the way to 0 people.......and that is what the Saudis want all over the world
I just noticed pmo @ 47 p today. I wonder will they become a target for takeover.. ...noble ??
Sorry 'be positive' not 'he positive.
Lets get the merger done then a few slowish months and hopefully start picking up again 2nd quarter. I have to he positive because I cant sell! Ha.
With FOGL you gain an extra 10% or so but you take the risk that the merger may fail next month. That bit is your choice though.
thank you so much ,this paper work I will look out for ,thank you so much I have had these for some 4 years at a silly price so I think I am on a loser sadly but again thanks
Would we be better off buying Fogl or Rkh at the minute. Views please.
I don't think anyone has yet answered your question in full so let me try. I don't know how your FOGL shares are held so there are some alternatives. If you hold certificates in your own name somewhere then FOGL's share registrars should send you the voting forms to your last registered address. So you need to ensure the address is current. The Registrars' address is on the FOGL website or you can phone FOGL direct for all the paperwork information. If on the other hand the shares are held by your broker, or bank etc either in nominee format or ISA etc you should find its all automatic but you will need to contact them to check they don't want any voting paperwork from you. Hope this helps and good luck with it all.
You're most welcome. It's always good to ask questions whatever your age. GL and BW.
sad to say at 82 years of age ,I still face someone taking the p----- sad !! thanks for your input spineworks
FOGLs General Meeting is on the 5th January at 2.30 with the Court Meeting held beforehand at 2.00pm. Then the Scheme Court Hearing will be on the 15th January and should be effective on the 18th January. BW
Sorry guys was just a **** take as the answer has been post millions of times, you do nothing it just happens, one day you'll have fogl shares the next rkh so don't worry about it

excuse my lack of knowledge but where does it say we need to pay £200 admin? and where do we do that? can they really just take our shares from us?
Can anyone advise if I am correct in my calculations. If someone has say 100,000 Fogl shares at current price of £0.076, value £7,600 and then can exchange for 29,930 RKH shares valued at £0.2825 which equals £8,455. This then gives an uplift of 11.25%. So unless FOGL shares as of today's date go above £.08455 we are increasing the value of our holding. Therefore on the last day of trading this same exercise needs doing to decide whether to simply sell or transfer? Also re transfer do you just advise your broker that this is what you want to do, sorry if obvious but I'm new to all this, lost such a lot already here so anything to be gained will help
Agreed, my mistake albeit you can still trade on Sunday through Dubai for pre trade Monday.
thank you for info can you tell me when the announcement will be made ? you will have guessed iam not on the ball with p/c chat thanks
