I seriously apologise for my naiveness but will our FOGL shares be converted to RKH shares or will the shares still be listed as FOGL?
it's not like Isobel was nailed on, it was still a risk and RKH provide a safety net... Also it's not like we have a queue of suiters with higher offers. The POO is the problem here. The fact remains we have no money to survive.. It's simple you have no money no future... Isobel needs a couple more appraisal wells to fully determine what we have, so currently represents little value to either RKH or FOGL while POO remains low. What we need is time... in order to buy time, you need money... What other realistic alternatives do we have?.... Yep thats correct NONE!
these words apparently not allowed?!?!
OK the merger makes sense in the current climate but as it is a pure ************** surely the ratio should now be adjusted to take into account the additional value that is represented by Isobel? Otherwise FOGL shareholders are indeed being shafted as this seems to have been rushed through for a cheap deal to benefit RKH and of course the directors of FOGL in their cushy new non-exec roles. Is it too late for a better counter offer to emerge? WO - I hope you are right that the antics of that dodgy Frantic Friday are being investigated. imo
Like many on here I have a much higher average than the current SP... Held and bought well before humpback. We are where we are and humpback was different, we would have different options on the table. However staying in the game is and should be our only concern. RKH has fallen as much more than our SP, the offer represents fair value at present with POO. Combined FOGL and RKH are much stronger and shareholders have a much better chance of seeing the SP return to decent levels. Alone neither will survive. Cash is king at the moment, and cash is what you need to see us through this temporary storm. Assets will one day represent fair value, but not currently. Sensible deal for all parties.
I have it before and now say it again; the antics of frantic friday are still under investigation
Good deal if you only paid 5p a share for them,we have been shafted ,A lot of information has been held back in my opinion .
The success is of course even more pleasing following the announced merger with Falkland Oil & Gas which will shortly complete seeing our interest in the licence significantly increase to 64 percent." I BET THEY ARE.
Why are people of the opinion we have been shafted... We have no Money... hence no choice... merge or go bust. Simples. it's better to be part of something than part of nothing.
Ants pants Without prejudice : there is no doubt in my mind that the timing of merger deal and today's announcement are coincidence. ...With shareholders shafted.well done Tim you played a blinder.
Is it still an option or have they given away FOGL to RKH on the cheap?
Was a good company with loads of potential but destroyed by Drilling in the SFB. The south is high risk and hope that RKH never go there.
Without prejudice Probably more than 30 pieces of silver !!
A glimmer of hope today! I wonder at what stage we will learn of the package that the FOGL rats have voted themselves for jumping from the sinking ship? My guess -30 pieces of silver. New Year All!
About 4 or 5 months back i pointed out my contact, said that Isobel Deep was really big and was flowing over the top by 3ft. Why did they just not redrill Isobel instead of going to the SFB, would have made sense and saved alot money..........Also we wouldn't have been sold out on the cheap....mind you does this mean the BOD will ask for more than whats on the table now!!!
Have a look at RRR. They take that title by a long way
OK not the worst but surely rate very highly indeed on the incompetence scale
should hang their heads in shame they have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory
A major find a few days after selling company for peanuts.if it smells rotten then it probably is.
The location selected for the re-drill of Isobel Deep was not optimal for any of the other fans. As such, most of the fans were penetrated at their margins and FOGL expects that based on analogous systems, better quality reservoir will be present in the main bodies of the fans.
With current prices, one Fogl share being exchanged for .2993 RKH means a devaluation to our Fogl shares. Needs checking out last minute to make a decision. May get more for your money by selling Fogl and buying Rkh rather than transferring over
On the bright side its still better than a bad result. Lets get this merger out of the way and move on.
Looking good ..Both FOGL and Rockhopper on upwards, hoping to be an interesting day
We have more oil than rkh mad aint it....
