Nothing would SURPRISE US, had this happen with other stock in the past, but it returned to its correct price once the sellers had run out and the buyers start to try their luck.
Our guess it is people who are utterly fed up with FFWD and chucked the towel in, We did this with a stock many years ago when a stock halved then when we looked at it over a year later it had gone up 12 fold, so we lost out big time.
We were talking a week or so back and we even wondered would this go down to 4p. Don't start on us it was just a thought, we previously wondered would it go to 7p. Should have sold up at 10p and come in now, hindsight is a wonderful thing. a few months ago we were being told there will be really good news in the next two weeks, good news in February, March and April but they omitted the year.
Take a deep breath and just sit tight and buy in if you can.
We have said this before, WHICH IS MORE LIKELY, It drops 7p or goes up 7p

There's not nobody buying. There have been a decent amount of buys in the past week and I've also bought although not directly.
It's simply the case there's been a seller, doing it in regular chunks, once they stop, the same level of buying should push this up nicely. They could have finished today, could finish tomorrow morning, the next day, or whenever. Only they (or their broker) will know. Can't go on forever (unless it was naked shorting which I'd seriously doubt at these prices as it'd be pretty nuts).

Said we hoped we had not spoken to soon.

These sales show why no one is buying as they think it may go down even further. Goodness knows why they are selling, surely not shorter's

Just have to grin and bear it and have patience.

Lord Snooty, Thank you for your agreement, we did not mean it to sound like we (shareholders) are desperate just the share price was desperate for assistance. Perhaps after some good news from one or more of the holdings, may get the newspapers attention.
Appears that the regular sellers are done, hope we are not speaking to soon. We are here long term and will add when we can to our holdings if the time seems right. Now would be nice to see a few buyers step in with 50000 purchases to give us a bit of firm ground to advance on.

"Desperately" is over-egging the pudding a little, but I agree, a bit of judicious PR plonked by our connected directors in the ears of a few financial journos, for them to write us up, wouldn't hurt.

We desperately need some good write ups in national newspapers etc to get FFWD going.
The Scottish Daily Mail covered Aberdeen New India this weekend, without making it a firm buy, the result was a mark up 3.5% first thing this morning along with other Indian trusts who also were marked up.We do hold these.
Regardless of how good their holdings are FFWD needs this publicity nation wide.
As for which company they dispose off etc.that is the boards decision, while we all have various preferences. Any new free cash we receive form sales etc. we would prefer to see it invested in some other new adventure rather than adding it to current holdings, even if it means holding the cash until a suitable venture is found. We do not like all your eggs in one basket.
So project for you all with contacts, try getting FFWD some publicity nation wide.
We will not be happy until the SP is 100p, so we can buy another bungalow in England, well you do have to dream.
In the meantime keep buying.

Just shows how manipulated this stock is - are we really to believe that retail investors, from a volume of over 2m shares on Friday, have decided as one to go on strike today?

Hold or sell I would like to think Big Jim has a firm grasp on the fair value and potential of Leap through his involvement with Webis.

Leap has matured and is the prime PF to sell. It is being used by major bookmakers and has possibly reached the end of the FFWD line. To achieve scale they need to generate funds within and I’ll happily bet it is the next to be sold.

For me the consideration of whether to hold Leap boils down to how much more mileage we can get from it. Being our largest stake by far it would be worth holding if the % returns over the next couple of years are as good as we can expect from other investments, but I suspect the growth momentum won't be as good as with a life science investment. I would be disappointed if we got anything less than £10 million for Leap.

I agree Snooty there is definitely risk in holding for more value that is not guaranteed to materialise. I was trying to make the point that Leap's value is not at saturation point as alluded to by wadnob.

If what you say is true then yes, it's a hold, but with risk attached; risk that such legislation will not be forthcoming, perhaps among others.
Judging from previous asset sales whilst I've been a FFWD holder, I'd say it's a toss-up whether our Board views such risk as acceptable or not, particularly in the light of emerging opportunities in the medicinal cannabis sector already identified, for which cash may be urgently required.
Hold or sell, as small retail shareholders, we have little influence on the Board's decision, but since we by definition are not privy to all the facts, for myself I am content to let events take their course.
