Great trading update today, essentially full for 23-24 which is fantastic news.
Also some.property sales expected and refurbishments.
Dividend up.
Great news all round.
Great set of results, seeing occupancy so high so soon is great news, meaning pricing power is back .
Emperic seems to have a great website and great set of properties now they have repositioned slightly.
A few more disposals left.
Are you on here gamesinvestor I would love to give you some stick about things you said on interactive investor BB.😄
Took profit . Break of uptrend .
WGC updated ,
GLA
Be interesting to see a test at 84p and 80p if it gives way distribution is complete .
Well, that’s brought me back up to break even. Keep it up. :-))
Great progress, and great results, good to see occupancy levels above pre pandemic levels.
Dividend, occupancy, margin improvement, energy hedging, energy performance /green progress.
What's not to like.
Why is student proprty down today ?
ESP & Unite down around 3% - can;t find any news - what am I missing ?
Looking good, I see disposals selling for more than book value which seems to suggest that NAV is calculated correctly or slightly lower than market value.
Bookings back to pre pandemic levels.
This should trade at nav in my opinion.
New property added, looks like esp is trying much harder to position for growth and minimise expenses, getting ride of none core assets and re positioning into more profitable properties should pay off here.
Three posts are gone by the look of it
Great update, occupancy at Upper end of guidance. Progress on disposal of none core assets at book value.
Edinburgh property on target for new academic year.
This should trade at nav really with this positive update and the dividend is now back.
Very happy to hold.
Esp price stronger, probably investors heading for safety and i suppose the dividend starting in January will help.
Better than expected dividend, and starting in January, still selling some assets (underperforming perhaps)
Good progress on occupied %
Not bad all round
Interesting to look at the monthly candles
1st JULY , solid up candle
1st Aug , unmoved on larger volume
1st sept solid down candle
Still making higher highs and higher lows , on monthly .
Hard to work out who was selling in Aug /Sept bored private investors selling because it pulled back or the larger players .
Lack of rns suggests the former.
GLA ,
That’s Berenberg for you.
No idea - down another 4% today on no news. Not sure who would benefit from lowering the share price before a bid aside from an acquirer, but don't see how they could engineer that (which would of course be illegal anyway so no-one would risk it). Just a bit of profit taking I guess.
what do you think? are they getting the price down ready for the bid?
Hit 100p today - hurrah!!
Could break 100p any day now.........sweet!
Bid announced today, but signposted a couple of week ago - DIGS up about 30% prior to the market learning of the bid talk. Makes Empiric look pretty cheap at these levels. Maybe they'll be next!!
There's movement, fingers crossed ;-)
Slowly slowly catchy monkey ;-)
CEO buys 93,122 at 90.1p - got to be good news, especially as he didn't have any at all before.
The Board of Empiric Student Property plc (ticker: ESP), the owner and operator of premium student accommodation across the UK, announces that Duncan Garrood, Chief Executive Officer, today acquired a total of 93,122 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 90.1 pence per share. Following the purchase, Mr Garrood's total shareholding comprises 93,122 ordinary shares, representing 0.0154% of the issued share capital of the Company.
Steve777:- it's simmering away nicely, no need to rush it lol ;-)
Not bad considering the turmoil the sector has had, I feel going forward demand will be pretty good, students want to go to uni and participate in lectures, online is second best really.
So I feel as soon as it can get back to normal it will do. Don't mind the missing dividend for the time being but having it reinstated is something to look forward to.
They are bound by the reit rules on that anyway so it will definitely come back at some point.
Very happy to be here.
