R-Dunc, I apologize as well. Brady was spot on, the rise in SP leading up the Liberia drill was barely enough to break even (at the time). My aim is not a nefarious one, but simply to show the other side of this story. I can promise you that my comments do not have any effect on the stock price, nor am I intending to have that effect. OPL 226 was always touted as the back-up plan in case commercial quantities of oil were not found in Liberia yet here we are 2.5 years later, much more diluted, facing the prospect of further dilution and seemingly no closer to production than this time in 2017.
As I have said before, I want all you to succeed with this play. There are just many unknowns and still a lot of variables flapping around.
Good luck all,
Berta
Let's hope and pray that Arthur pulls something out of the bag soon, maybe all approvals done and finance near Complete before he fund raises and only half a billion shares
Yes we are all here for one reason, and I think in a few months there will be a few “ I told you so “ posts , and hopefully we can all have a good laugh
haha. Fair enough Bell. We each have our own ways but hopefully targeting the same result in the end.
I would be interested to see the traffic of unique visitors to this page. Not sure if there is an easy way to do that? It doesn't take too much to shift the stock one way or the other - a couple thousand quid probably. My point is that get 1 or 2 traders miffed or doubting their investment, then it can cause panic and the domino effect ensues. Alternatively, get one or two investors excited and hopeful and then domino effect can happen in the other direction. If these boards and social media had very little effect, there would be no such thing as ramping, de-ramping, pump & dumps etc.
Dunc. I challenge posts which are so obviously positive so we probably balance each other out . Ying and Yang When we get good news I will applaud and back it, I just cannot back the barrages of ramping that occur sporadically sucking others into losing money based on heavily spun fantasies . I’m not saying you do that Dunc , I have a great respect for your posts .
I do however believe Freedoms right , our chit chat has very little effect on the SP . Regular RNS and any company stating and then hitting targets has the biggest effect IMO.
At this point in the game BBC World service is probably the best place for information, Vanguard News is also pretty up to date

Good points Freedomshot. I'm not saying that only positive comments should be allowed, or that the risks shouldn't be discussed. I've never said any of that. What I don't want to see is stirring up a storm of over-the-top negativity when the situation is not definitive. Anyway, Berta, apologies for causing offence. You've got a different opinion, which is fine but I don't agree with.
Bell, I challenge posts that are so obviously negative that they cause damage to this share. If you can't see the obvious harm constant negative posts have on a share then you need have a closer look. And for what? To vent frustration, warn other investors to the detriment to your own investment, to stick it to Arthur? I can't enforce you not to post whatever it is you want to, but those sort of posts (i.e. were all fk'd) have an impact which isnt helping. Strange thing to say if you actually wanted this share to do well. Same goes for ramping during a positive run to cause a spike. It's exageratting a scenario and playing on others fears and hopes.
We all know a placing is coming.
Talking the price down is only going to make it worse if you're a current investor.
The reason for the Liberian duster has been explained in detail, It fooled Exxon Mobil to the extent of 100M+
It's a great shame and incredibly frustrating that we can't just get on with drilling.
I can see Berts's and the attitude of our other Canadian friends is from bitter past experience, but the above still applies.
No point in making the situation worse for ourselves.
Dunc and Funk - once again you condemn posters who give a view opposite to what you post . It’s not your place to say who posts and what they say . Everyone’s opinions matter and if you don’t like those views then let’s have some actual facts to try and change peoples minds rather than slagging them off. You carry on trying to talk the price up. And others will try and oppose those views . That’s life matey . Get over it
Just to add fuel to the fire . Looking more and more like no news and moneys slowly running out so 0.15p placing in March for 10$mill plus a years running costs.
Everyone’s on here to make money one way or another .....
Brady, don't get me wrong, I welcome our Canadian friends on this board. However, OilBertas attitude is exactly what we don't need here. Inciting anger and noise can only be destructive. Arthur will have to raise, before or after news, but the only thing Bertas posts will change is the starting point of the SP when news lands, either good or bad. So, I ask Berta, if you have nothing constructive to say, keep it to yourself and let this play out a bit.
Dunc, I get it but he’s not a troll. I also hold only XOP shares on what was the venture before they got de listed. Reason Canadians are on this board is because the LSE is the only exchange that actually trades the stock. And that’s because Art has a knack for sucking retail investors into his web. We’re all frustrated, but it’s hard not to see another billion shares being raised to cover short term G&A while this all plays out. The five bagger for the Liberia drill doesn’t mean a whole lot. I participated in the rise but like most shareholders at the time, 5x was just enough to get back to breakeven at most. Kinda like this going to 1p. That sure as hell wouldn’t make me whole. This company had all the potential like Oilecxo to fly but at 2B shares and potentially more, our dreams are shot and I seriously doubt I’ll ever see my money back at approx $0.04 CAD.
Oilberta403 Can you call me at 403 681 0539 to discuss this. This is Calgary number I believe we met at the last agm
Oilberta u must have more money than sense then. Invested and consistently talk company down. I no ur pissed like us all am tens of thousands down just now on this. Do expect to get my money back whether it’s by the share price going up or actually visiting Arthur and taking his car for talking shite but I won’t be out of pocket lol.
Good luck all. We need it but hopefully next month or tomorrow is better news
Well how am I incorrect, the drill won't happen within 6 months or less and that is what is going to move this stock? As for the 1 billion shares, go back and read my post, I suggested it as a scenario (I would say a somewhat likely one at that). Other posters have confirmed that Art does not care at what price he needs to do a placing, merely the placing itself to survive another 9 months to pay their inflated salaries while shareholders get gouged with dilution. It's time shareholders get angry and make some noise.
Berta
All you do is post negative comments Berta, you're basically just a troll. One that only holds Canadian stock and yet constantly posts negativity to the LSE board. Why? The LSE performance of COPL probably doesn't mean much to you but I for one have a lot invested that is affected by the rumours and the sentiment that propagates on these boards / social media. We've got to contend with Art but your posts: dead money for 6 months and 1 billion share dilution at 0.15p. How is that not trolling? The stock 5-bagged in the lead up to the Liberia drill. Hit a duster but that's the chance you take. This is the next one, taken a while to get here but we knew (or should have) the risks in an African play. However, spitting bile every chance you can to talk down this company is doing absolutely zero good, particularly for those invested.
Dunc, with all due respect shut the hell up. I've held this stock since July of 2012 only to observe Art attempt to destroy shareholder value by MANY rounds of dilutive financing to fund the next puff of smoke resulting in the production of ZERO barrels of oil. How am I off in my statement? Art has stated we are months away from a drill and we can be certain based on his piss poor track record that this timeline will not be met. Give me one credible fact to counter my claim and not some silly hunch you have about SPA, ministerial consent, etc. We know there will be another round of dilution to keep the lights on, and we know it's going to be extremely painful at these levels. The situation they find themselves in could have been avoided by managing their costs but we the shareholders have to continue to pay for their mismanagement.
Berta
Delayed for a week. Not the end if the world. But nay spell the end of Buhari
Berta-Dont rush to quickly my friend, COPL will rise from this!
Going back 30 years when I invested in Mirror Group and when Robert Maxwell fell off the boat, my investment nearly sank with him, but with patience I broke even no loss!
With Election been postponed peeps must be thinking what now? Noone said this would be easy and why should it be? But the end reward is def worth it.
I feel in my bones something good is brewing up.
You're on some mission to destroy current shareholders investment and interests Berta.
For at least 6 months.
Berta
