hope so - that would be good
It is going to 2 £
A few more at over 171p
Exactly. I was buying in the 70p range and it's doubled within 12 months. Happy days! Not selling until at least £2...
Good luck, Brighty
Read a couple of stories this week. BNP Paribas apparently turned around to its investors and advised investing in UK equities which currently offer better value. Bank of America have seen over 200 million USD flow in to UK funds last week. I hqve owned centrica since 2016 and hibernated it for years. Finally i'm being rewarded after years of price decline and dividend drought. Things are looking up and not just for Centrica.
I retired 7 years ago and bought all through my employment so from a great dividend to nothing , gutted at the time .Luckily sold them all at 30p and bought them all back in a stocks and share isa so happy days. Enjoy your retirement its amazing
As an employee on the cusp of retirement this up turn has been very welcome .I kept hold of shares I bought at high and low prices through sip over the past 15-20 years .It would be nice to get better dividend payments but I'm just happy with the upward trend .
BTW, my average 'break even' price, after dealing costs, is approx. 67p.
I have 12,938 CNA shares, bought in various tranches at various prices before and after the COVID 'meltdown'. I will be selling 2938 at £1.72 very soon and holding the remaining 10,000 for a years. I will be retiring at age 60, May 2028.
Happened to all of us ...
Sold my holding of 24k shares in March @ 104p to buy aviva 😭
Will it be another 2p today?
£ 29000000 Auction very bullish
P.s. thanks for the opportunity to buy loads at 42p. im enjoying my new house.
What ever happened to the poor bloke after he got the sack/golden hand /back/ shake of a yrs pay and 3 million in shares i bet he is really struggling to find work after the share price collapsed from £3.50 to 30p whilst he racked up £12million for 4 yrs work...anyone looking for a person able to loose 2billion a year every year should give him a ring and immediatly hire him,he is struggling with a mere £90k yr dividends and his shares only going up 1.5million a yr.ive heard asda need the beans stacking on the shelves on the night shift if anyones got his email handy. weird how the company is doing so well after he left,a person might think he had done a bad job of running the company as its heading back to a 5 yr high of £2 a share.. i bet the person that hired him on a 5yr you have to pay me /cant sack me/give me big bonus,s no matter what/contract is feeling a little sad these days along with all the l.t.h. that didnt sell above £3, oh well you live and learn by your HUGE MISTAKES bod.
There is no resistance until 200p now me thinks. See you in a few days 200p.
Buy when the share is showing positive momentum and sell 12 months later. Works most of the time for me.
Cna have gone up almost every day for weeks now,I keep adding most days, doing quite well for a change, divi soon as well
That's perfect template but sadly we dont live in a perfect world .......
I should add that many times, I've got it wrong and lost $$$$$$$
Jeez. Sorry to hear that. I have lost a bit in my time, ASOS being the biggest embarrassment, but nothing like that. I have done ok on cna. You must have pretty thick skin. Wishing you luck on other trades.
Can’t win em all
Two big questions when trading shares:
1) when to buy
2) when to sell
I'm holding Centrica for now.
Happens to all of us.
But maybe not on that scale 😂
Hard to believe this was 29p nearly 3 years ago. Not many FTSE shares multibag these days….normally only Aim shares achieve that status.
Bitter sweet for me as during covid a I bailed out of here at 43p losing £180K. If I had sat tight my holding would be worth £300k this morning. Feck, feck and double feck.
