Italian minister says his country will declare a state of emergency due to lack of gas supply"

According to Reuters, deliveries to Italy might be most affected. Shortly after the news, Italy's wholesale gas price rose 87 percent to 44.50 euros per megawatt hour.

Italian industry minister Carlo Calenda warned of a "serious" energy supply problem and said the country would need to declare a state of emergency."

Algy already said in a past RNS that the current delay was to select the "best deal", could this imply we have multiple offers?

lo_cal which analysts have you seen rating 10p? I have only seen the 12.6p rating.

Lets be honest, it depends on the deal.

If there are competing partners we would get the pick of the best deal, if there are not then we may be worse off.

I think we could see anything from 6-12p

The IPO was 3.5p, you've got to think with the news of the assets since this the SP would be worth a fair bit higher. Even Algy bought in last Nov at 2.5p which is still probably a steal in the long term. This has also been rated by analysts at 10p for quite some time.

I will take alook at Cove Energy later.

You said you are waiting till after farm out before buying, do you have a rough guess to what the SP could be after the JV announcement?

The benchmark most people tend to use is what Cove energy sold for. Which equates to roughly £500m per TCF. But worldwide prices are somewhat different according to regions.
Gas is very cheap in USA but expensive in Eastern Europe. I don't know where North Sea sits price wise but if it's anywhere near Eastern European prices then even with a farm out of 80% to a JV partner CLNR will still be worth north of £60m.
Waiting for JV news before I buy here...

8/12/17 - http://www.malcysblog.com/2017/12/oil-price-sound-echo-coro-zenith-energy-empyrean-finally/

"...
CFO JJ Traynor went down well with optimistic news that for every 1 TCF of gas in the portfolio the shares could add £1.50, news shareholders lapped up.
..."

At the above calculation 2.4TCF = share price £3.60.
Let be irrationally over conservative with that figure, and reduce the £1.50 ten times,
2.4TCF at £0.15 per 1TCF = sp of 36p - still an 18 bagger from todays 1.9p.

happy with that.

"Accordingly, both the Promote Period and the Initial Term of each licence will run until 30 November 2018, subject to a farm-out being achieved by 31 May 2018 and a drill or drop decision being made by 30 September 2018."

Less of the - " overhang needs to be cleared" ," mms playing games" ," they want your shares" " i'm in, cos batman told me to pump", "yeah lets make £750 by pumping & dumping" " want to see proof of my holding?" " lets show some more old facts"

Thanks Ducatti. I wasn't thinking in terms of connection with other fields but more as to probabilities of success of the licence producing gas.

@notrac

What is your overall view of the neighboring distances?
15 Miles to INEOS really isn't a big distance imo.

Not a ship specialist so don't know exact speeds these big ships can reach, but if they were able to achieve only 15 MPH they could transport the engineers/staff/oil/gas from INEOS to CLNR fields in around 1 hour... or just the staff on a quicker boat in around 20 minutes - Seems an ideal cost-effective situation.

I wonder how long it also takes to run 15 miles of pipework on the seafloor?
