Abject, Yes there are some similarities. They are both well down from previous highs but Verizon PE is over 14 ATandT is over 8 and BT is 6.
BTB, Worded my post wrong maybe, try again, I would appreciate reading about BT this week. Not Brexit sour grapes. OK?
Delighted to learn this, hope you are right and will keep a look out for AUS3009 s posts, brighten up a dull day and takes some of the sting out of the impact with BTs performance.
Why?
They're a good introduction to how to use the filter.
News about BT would be good this week.
Weak argument or not we still left pokerchips. So please give it a rest. White flag my ar5e.
Please all be aware , that the contributor to this board known as AUS3009 is in fact Mandy AKA rod AKA lil rod AKA sonof mandy AKA mandysrevenge , plus a long , long , long list of other monikers.
He exhibits the usual verbal diarrhea writing style , plus he is continually repeating his deranged theories. Check out his past posts and witness the bizarre yet disturbing love in , between AUS and mandy. They used to always turn up on the board at the same time , hmmm , very odd.
Why is he continually picking on NDN? I think NDN knows plenty about our Walter Mitty poster
My question was drowned out by Brexit talk
Is there any link between how the telcos perform share price wise , between US and UK?
I notice Verizon and AT&T both performing badly , just as Vodafone and Bt are
"In the US they litigate on anything and everything "
We actually do in the UK..it is just done through various degrees of court level
The Mail Online gives an idea of the scale of things than end up in the court !!
The courts backlog is arguably longer than the health service waiting list
Bertram
I am afraid you have put across such a weak argument that you have had no alternative but to hoist the white flag of defeat against a stronger Aus3009 counter.
Bertram - blocking people or views you don’t like on a “Public” board, in my opinion speaks volumes about the blocker.
I have a despicable stalker called NDN on this board who thinks he is entitled to invade my personal information & then try to intimidate me with it to stop be expressing opinions, I haven’t even blocked him because I stick to the values I would preach.
Its the weekend, do you or anyone else have news or updates ?
I think you opened the subject of Brexit, I can only assume you want to see Brexit supporting posts in the future? & I’m really not sure how any of that makes me a dictator?.
You might not agree. You might not like truth (80 majority, 3 leave campaigns selling different versions) but at least they are verifiably true, as opposed to the nonsense just posted by others, which is verifiably untrue.
Block unblock do as you please, I care very little either way. But if you think a Brexit disaster doesn’t impact your investments, you might choose to find actual reality to prove it doesn’t / hasn’t, this would include how investors see the uk, its standing & influence. the resulting political madness & corruption, along with any verifiable advantages Uk business & citizens now have, because of brexit?
Aus You are sounding more and more like a dictator. I don`t wish to filter you but you are ruining the BB. There is no chance of changing a thing posting here like you are so please give it a rest.
Cookoo you are are. 4th largest because of “services”. The one part of our economy relatively untouched by Brexit loons.
So thanks very much for confirming my point. I can tell you read the daily express & can see you have issues. So in the interest of fairness, I’d also like to help you out. Services are uniquely difficult to measure, it could be counting inter-actions as meaningless as a single visit to a single website.
So makes a perfect option to fool un-thinking people desperate for a brexit win.
I think I’ve already explained why it was an abomination of democracy ‘ I’ve already explained Brexit loons have had an 80 seat majority (which makes claims of remainders getting in the way pretty dumb). So why don’t you think about those, get someone to help you with the counting big to understand an 80 seat majority is more.
The thing I haven’t told you yet is, we still haven’t seen all the border checks and other little costly things that come with a Brexit. Those same Brexit loons are still begging the EU for more time, trying to avoid the impacts of their lies
Cookoo - I mean this seriously - are you okay? I wonder if there would be benefit in you seeking assessment from a mental health professional.
"brexit is a failure, everyone is worse off," uk in latest reports was the forth largest exporter didnt here that on the bbc did i , it has only been the massive lack of respect of the meaning of democracy and the block by the remainers on any policy ,due to sour grapes ,also the lack of back bone puppet[ may ]put in place by the establishment to do there bidding ,there was going to be 800,00 loss of jobs ,fall off a cliff ,and taking the pi55 about a big red bus quoteing 350 mill for the nhs, the nhs is now getting 750 mill more per week , SO GET OVER IT YOU TREASONOUS WINGEING COMMI
Is there any link between how the telcos perform share price wise , between US and UK?

I’m
Not reading any Brexit comments, as soon as I get the gist it’s that, I skip.
i really do struggle to understand how delusional and dishonest leave voters are.
fleccy is still under the impression it’s not his fault when he voted for russian propaganda, lies, misinformation and chaos. instead it’s 2/3 of the political class….
i’m not sure how dim he is, i’ve already explained to him johnson had an 80+ majority of brexit loons in his government
brexit is a failure, everyone is worse off, the uk will continue to decline in almost every way because if it. it was a con, any decent citizen would have withdrawn their support soon as it became obvious what it really was. itv was a democratic, decisive abomination of our system of government, attack on our freedoms, a way to weaken the eu for putin. if new paper headlines like “enemies of the people “. directed at judges didn’t awake you there’s really no hope. i’m pretty sure your children and grand children will continue to pay the price, as are you now with uk share investments.
£100 invested in markets i 2016 = £117 return, the us £268 & france / germany £180-£190
voting leave made the uk a basket case. we have all the corruption all the dishonesty and incompetence which led the leave campaign in power. it’s not going well. they want you to believe it’s people on little boats, rather than their choices and incompetence. i know why i the nhs is failing, it’s the same reason transport, economics, trade, fishing, farming etc etc are also in a state. it’s because brexit was lunacy a campaign of three campaigns all selling a different version because there never was a single deliverable version. vote leave, beleave and leave.eu for the real ******s to get involved. & the you guys are still calling it a democratic vote……. u believable. mind you, it proves how badly it’s going, otherwise you would be asking me to be thankful for the sunny uplands
Well said Fleccy, the fact we left, meant we lost all our status and benefits and veto powers, that had been built up. Re-entering now would put us to the bottom of the pack as a new member.
The only reason Brexit is being discussed again, is because Starmer was a vocal remainer and the Remoaner cult think the Labour party will somehow take us back into the EU, which is total fantasy; No UK political party is going to turn that stone over again, they simply wouldn't dare because of the turmoil it will cause.
I've been disillusioned with the Labour party since Brown screwed up Final Salary pensions and I think the Conservatives are all for lining their mates pockets, so I wont be voting for either of them at the next general election. I wont vote for Lib Dems because I didn't like their policies around Brexit and their part in trying to derail it. Once the decision was made to exit the EU, the whole of the political class should have rallied behind the decision and helped the UK Government to get a good deal. The EU made a big deal over the solidarity of the member states in supporting Barnier in his negotiating strategy, whereas two thirds of the UK political class tried to destroy the UK negotiating position.
More like one guess and the domino effect.
That's 6 guesses.
Only a guess ...
1. The court case goes against BT and they have to pay £1bn+.
2. Divi cancelled to fill some of the gap.
3. Share price drops maybe 10%.
4. Draghi screws as no div to find his debt and his holding has halved in value.
5. DT offer Draghi some cash, perhaps not enough for his holding.
6. DT takeover BT.
Most likely a major share holder could have been made aware of what’s happening to the dividend and what their thoughts were about keeping it the same or cutting the dividend possibly in half or worse.
