Imagine what you can do if you had certain market makers on your payroll
For anyone who doesn't know how it works, this is the best explanation I've seen.

Oh dear ...
Of course liquidity is an issue with any stock, AIM or otherwise.
""So where do the extra shares come from otherwise?"
Er.... stock? This is a stock market?"
There are finite number of shares in issue ... you cannot magic some from thin air (unless comany issues more).
MM does not hold huge amounts typically.
I am going stop now ... Little point carrying on.
Worries me that this board is so incestuous.
Anything against the flow gets shot down and crticised ... that's not how were learn.
Bottom line is results were OK, not great. Many sold on news, new buyers got in at lower price.
We are down 20% in a week. Should the SP be higher? in my view yes.
""e.g. If I tried to buy in a strong market and there is no stock the MM will increase the price until someone is willing to sell.""
No, sorry, that wasn't what I said. It is not the case, as I said "you have over-simplified.". You take no account of market size or "stock", which fluctuates causing the change in prices.
"So where do the extra shares come from otherwise?"
Er.... stock? This is a stock market?
""e.g. If I tried to buy in a strong market and there is no stock the MM will increase the price until someone is willing to sell.""
Precisely what I said.
The MM are CONTRACTED to provide the service within market size. If you are trading in market size, which is specified for each company you must get a deal.
AIM is not a matched market.
Crossed trades can only happen if the MM is holding stock or goes naked ... as I explained.
So where do the extra shares come from otherwise?
The price goes up becuase the price at which people are willing to sell or buy changes.
e.g. If I tried to buy in a strong market and there is no stock the MM will increase the price until someone is willing to sell.
Vice versa for selling.
It is very simple and needs not to be more complicated than it is
"Number of Buys must equal number of sells on average, even if the MM is holding lots or goes naked for a period."
Over simplification. Crossed trades cover uneven movement.
If they were all equal the price would never change. There would be no demand or no over-supply, precisely the things that cause price fluctuation.
If there more buying pressure the price would go up, ignoring very short term activity by MMs to make the market, it's their job. No conspiracy. They may hold prices based on orders and try and get people the best price they can, again, doing their job.
Number of Buys must equal number of sells on average, even if the MM is holding lots or goes naked for a period.
So the ... "Lots more buys than sells ..." etc. is nonsense, many transactions misreported.
The only thing that matters is the SP when you buy and when you sell, and how you react to the reported SP in the meantime.
Buys 67k, 50k, 20k, 15k, 12k, 10k’s if there isn’t a buyer, where did all these trades go, enlighten us Zak?

Off topic - I heard that AAA have wriggled out of holding an EGM. Possibly a shareholder action plan is needed whilst they pick the meat from the rotten carcass.

Everyone is blind aren’t they Zak, we do not see all the buys going through. Market makers are not corrupt and there is no manipulation. Companies are leaving LSE by the day because they all believe in conspiracy theories like the rest us lmao hahaha. You are so desperate it is unreal.
