Thanks to everyone for the (mostly) sensible answers. Very interesting to see what people think.
Previous update releases relative to expected Q2 expected update
Vametco update 9 Aug 2017 - 40 days after Q2
Vametco Q3 update 20 Nov 2017 - 51 days after Q3
Q4 operational update 22 Jan 2018 - 22 days after Q4
Vanadium Q1 update 27 April 2018 - 27 days after Q1
Vametco Q2 update (16 Aug 2018?) - 47 days after Q2 so far
As can be seen there is no defined period after end of Quarter for update to be released. There is no legal requirement but it is company policy. Q2 Vametco update will be published when it is ready.
My ideal situation would be Q2 update this week or early next week, followed by Sojitz 15% acquisition confirmed in next few weeks, very positive interims in September. And any other news of course. Plenty of SP drivers to come. However pure speculation on my part.
Regards. Pdub.
FB you are very kind salute.
knuttie a finely crafted post sir
Ladies & gents a number of points. People are starting to get a little hung up on Q2 figures, they needn’t. This rubbish spread , or attempted to be spread by the yellow crayfish, can be very easily binned. Thanks to Pauldina we know already what has been shipped to Trumpland & it is a very significant % of our overall sales. We know the figures will be positive, the only thing we don’t know is exactly how positive.
Q2, there are no regulatory requirements at all for Q2 disclosure. Fortune told me at the AGM last year that it was their intention to issue quarterly updates. He is an honourable man & I have no doubt that any delay is for a positive reason. For example crossing t’s & dotting i’s with Sojitz, not to be complicated by bumper figures, just a thought. I am e extremely happy to trust in our BoD & especially our CEO. Not long to wait, me thinks.
Factually the H1 figures are required for regulatory purposes before 30 September.
I can only imagine the reaction when the the dividend policy is disclosed, yabadabadoo!!
If/when we take out some/all of Sojitz they will have to announce it in an RNS. This Company don't play games or fudge around issues. Anybody who's been here for any length of time (see Corbine cup entries for a large percentage- not all by any means, not everyone posts) will tell you they drive us mad by doing everything properly and being ultra conservative. Whilst many have bemoaned their lack of communication at times I suspect we wouldn't have it any other way because we know they do what they say they are going to. In the time scale they say they are going to. At the price they say they are going to. Every time to date. The news will come when it comes. My entire retirement is in Fortunes hands to be honest and I couldn't be more relaxed about it. If you are in, well done. If you are not, do yourself a favour.
Pdub, I agree the soljitz news should be its own RNS.
That would be truly awesome if that was the next RNS. That would have us all as the world is now saying on YouTube “super excited”
What ever happens I terms of the unfolding of the news I don’t expect any disappointment at all.
Alfa, the numbers we are expecting are all in the same magnitude. These truly will be exceptional for a company so fresh. But this is why it is looking so good. I wonder if they are so pleased they are going to bring H1 results at the same time as Q2 Bushveld Vametco, so the world can see the clearest picture of this company’s fundamentals.
If they did we can expect the largest jump in our SP in BMN’s history of trading. Put this with a few other monumental news items over the coming weeks and we will be the focus of so much investment interest, the market will certainly be discussing us.
I really cannot wait to see what plays out.
My own thinking is along the lines of Nickderby in that the results are so good and they are wondering how to handle things. Along with other positive news they have they may have concerns about short term euphoria in the market.
That's right Q2 is highly disappointing as we are only making around 60,000 dollars clear profit per tonne of Nitrovan. This means that Vametco is only going to be making 56 and a quarter million dollars profit per quarter. Of this we get 59.1% which is only 33.24 Million Dollars, what a terrible situation to be in.
Quite the contrary, can only assume that the figures are so good that they are having to check them over and over and reconcile them for the 6 monthlies! ;)
What's the going rate for being a dim troll? You have zero credibility capa. Thick sh*it..... Is he stupid enough to catch my ball again ? Lmao
I agree, lumping information into one RNS would seem to be wasteful.in the example you have given, and these are clearly separate news items. No idea why the q2 figures have not been released, we are halfway through q3 now. .
Pub correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think BMN are not legally obliged to report q2 production updates.
Just a personal opinion but I would prefer any announcement on the acquisition of Sojitz 15% of Vametco (if it happens) to be brought to market via its own RNS (s), as with the 26% and 59% events. This would be such important news in its own right that I would be disappointed if it was tied into a bundle of other news in the Q2 update, which in any case may be an SP momentum driver on its own.
Any thoughts?
Clearly happy with whatever Fortune decides to do but hopefully he is not holding back Q2 update to facilitate inclusion of Sojitz news.
