As safe as any of the other miners imo. At this price it will pay to get out at any 5% drop as well
Sp could stall back to 950. GS seem to have clout. Is the divi that safe? Has a good run though.
Over the last few days and STILL 7% yield.
Oh yes, I'm fine now we're back above 11 quid here now. A good day on commodities today.
Some huge trades here after close

Edging back up
Nice +ve rise in Oz today, hope follows suit here today.
Hi BRJ, today is a big day lets watch data from China come in???? Personally I think things will up here but who knows???? Be Lucky
Is rising, can we please get back above ten quid again, preferably above eleven.
Bumping for great justice.
Sector screwed. No safe haven for any company
Crazy, just coz we do similar things here, we're tarred with the same brush. How's rio doing.
Glencore perhaps?
Today??
General market mayhem I think...
Is this lunchtime SP drop on the back of Goldmans target price reduction?
tawse - don't talk rubbish, read the RNS again
Annual Report seems quite good, still showing profit of 2bn down from 15bn, the august/September 15 commodities drop could see this turn red next year though. Still to much uncertainty in commodities market to know quite what to do with this share.
And collect the divs while it does recover. Contrary to some, I believe that the divs may well be cut 10-20% but no way will they stop them, and at 7+% currently they could cut 30% and it'd still be a top div stock. Gl.
This will come back up...if u don't need the money leave it for a few years ...
yeah, the deepest commodities bear market since the 70's,so they say,we're also in a correction in a bear market,so how long all this troubles last,is anyones guess, but has you can see from this metal prices chart, the trend reversal your looking for, isn't here yet,but then again, with the world stuck in low inflation, prices will struggle on most things commodities.https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=DBB hope ya time your entry right m8,but the good times havnt returned just yet. unless your just short term trading.
It would help me a great deal if folk could let me know whether they think we are in a bear market at the moment or not. I'm trying to decide if I should be raising cash or not, and if so what percentage etc. Trouble is I've been out of the market since 2001 until April this year so I haven't really got my eye in yet for this sort of thing. What's bugging me is whether we are in a bear market or just in a short term correction ... and how low this thing is likely to go and over what time scale. Mike
It categorically states there would be not stock involved in any debt deals.
I googled news for BHP and there were articles talking about them wanting to issue some kind of hybrid debt assurance which some took for raising capital through share dilution.
