Aib sale or even bkir 14% deleted at least a month now that Noonan is to be replaced
we are in the latter stages of a polite orderly exit of all rescue fund institutional investors who deserve to be commended for saving bkir 30-1 split equates to the next phase which will be very much growth orientated Mathematics are sound - fill your boots QED
We're all waiting for something ! son.
Just checked my crystal ball and sell off by government must be imminent. They'll have been watching the BBC (our politicians) and see Lloyds now out of government control. I expect we can expect imminent announcement of sale of government holding of BKIR shares and also sharp movement upwards of SP. Hsve a nice day Radar.
Were hammered here because of the states 14% stake. The sooner they get out the better because the sharks are manipulating the price so they can make millions and they will while we suit here like lemons waiting.
Time will tell. Sometimes a new face/attitude works, sometimes it doesn't. At this stage the only direction is up, IMHO. http://www.irishexaminer.com/business/bank-of-ireland-names-hsbcs-francesca-mcdonagh-as-chief-450334.html
.. knees.. correction.
.. well.. i do hope she has a high level of testosterone.. abd gets this bank off its bloody needs.. glad for the change. ..
The consensus here I think is that the downward pressure is to do with the govs sale of stakes in aib and boi, keep them undervalued and get them on the cheap, we are talking of billions to be made. New CEO is good news, did I recently refer to 'new balls'? Oops wrong again!
.. boi was going back to the .23 level.. this news.. this miracle changed direction.. surely they must have broken the 500.000 salary limits..
Go girl. Delighted . She'll take no sh/t and get this bloody bank off its knees. Needless to say the SP should do a trouser unload 2m re P Gee but long term excellent news
We'll translated

.. bad day for the stock mkt today.. goldman sachs pushed earnings down and others followed.. boi held up today.. small miracles happen once in a while..
The question is why such down ward pressure on this share? It is certainly is not market forces.
One thing is certain if it's 1.30 it must be dump time, same day in day out, very regular! Big dump today brings sp down 2%, expect more from 3.30 on. Same old sht! This share is pretty much on the bottom and is probably not a bad time to buy. IMO.
With Brexit uk-eu negotiations and possible election in ireland as clown kenny steps aside from fg gov leadership along with global /trump uncertainties will punish this share further along with low summer trading volumes i believe a global correction has to be close for indices which will further drag this fkir down further have sold 50% of my fkir stake
correlation and causation dictates that future dividends and share price are inextricably linked.
"Does it matter what the Sp is?" If dividends are going to be your gravy you must have millions and millions of shares in this stock.....well for you but for us minions I really think we need to see an upside on the sp from a healthy trading public company. Old mantra here, share split can come soon enough.....the market is awash with BOI shares
this forum is about sharing informed opinion relating to B.O.I. do you think boi is a good stock cooking?
poor old fool he should know from your posts you filter me most weeks
great post howth share consolidation will look after this ravenous day trading. BOI is a strong company posting healthy profits and these will increase over time as will the share price. Granted it has been a long time in the making however the framework is here (thanks mr.boucher) for boi to push on after the 30-1 split.
While I would love the SP to go up and have a capital gain, I bought this share mainly for the dividend. My breakeven gradually reduced to .28c now. The company is now very profitable and should pay a reasonable dividend from 2018 onwards and working up to 50% of profits. If one does not intend to sell, and the profits continue at this or an improved level, does it matter what the SP is? Howth
