Sold my ISA holding yesterday for a >20 % return after a year (more if you add the dividend).....still holding in my trading account will trim if it falls and average down further if the opportunity arises.
I first bought this at around £20 and averaged down as the price fell.....average now at £9.25 so am happy to watch and wait...
I still think a takeover is likely but have thought this since the current CEO joined
I am a recent convert to this share. I took the opportunity to invest the proceeds of a dividend from a FTSE high yielder. Have so far not regretted it. Can only see upside in the current global problems.
..I'm surprised more investors haven't cottoned on to this share, + 37% YTD. I guess a combination of company stability, securing new orders, higher revenue forecasts year on year, improved broker ratings.. Any more for any more. Glad I didn't divest some months ago
Alantra have now crossed the 15 % threshold.....time to declare your intent....RNS will have to be issued soon
Happily it seems to have got into a positive mode. I don't really know why. I suppose defence , Russians, etc. Tho that is an old story
I starting to think it is more linked to nasdaq than ftse. Is it viewed as us tech sort of, as sell a over there I think. Nasdaq well up today
Well if it stays there till close ( fingers crossed the way this thing moves ) not bad at all. Can afford a second latte tonight
Broker upgrade to £13
Finally broke £10 for the first time since May 2023.....on a day when FTSE is down too.....
Is some news about to break?
Maybe it is leveraged on ftse250 which has also gone up a lot the last hour
Yes I think so. But in the last hour the price has gone from 960 to 990. Circa. I just don't understand it.
Hate to say - but I think the worse is now over. Onwards and upwards
Slightly different question. If you were selling, would you put a limit order, given the wide fluctuation well 2 percent in a day in price ? 2 percent may not sound much but still
I totally accept what you say about low volume. But is it possible these things are manipulated by hedge funds or others, or can we take the prices at face value ?
Small Mcap and low volume average daily movement seem to overexagerate price....
happy to hold averaged down to low 900's this year and will buy more if the price drops once again..
Judging by the share movements, which have no logical basis, the buyers and sellers are on drugs . Perhaps they can give me some. Otherwise I will have to sell.
I spoke too soon as mysteriously the price largely recovered by close
Just need strong nerves to hold this thing. And remember to buy one of their radiation protection helmets or emigrate to new Zealand after taking profit
Another day, another meaningless large drop in price. Is it just no buying therefore price marked down ?
Thank you for the answer much appreciated 👍
That is pence not £
Hi guys , Do I see correct that dividend payment is £12.13 pound per share ???
In the alternative universe of the stock exchange, it is probably possible
Also the trade was for -6500 shares....not sure you can either buy os sell a negative number
I'm seeing a close price of £9.84, up .24 - hope that's correct..
It's an error, trade must be a typo, 6 instead of 9 . It's been recinded.
