Panman ..you are a joker if you don't think £250K is not excessive salary for a basic part time roll .. They have done nothing over the last 3 years other than a bit of administration to decide who or how they can try an get money from the Slovenian government.. Whilst i admit the other director are on average drawings for their service .. I not sure what they talked about at board meetings if they even rally had them!... more to the point where is has this business gone in the last 3 years .. The answer is nowhere.. IMHO ... its up each individual .. But i know I wouldn't have any other investments where JP is involved in
Panman,
To be fair to Winnimandala...what really pees people off is that the current BOD are working in part time roles. They are all associated with the same companies! Graeme Wood picks up a salary for goodness knows what!
I have held my shares since 2017 so I'm wondering if they will just apply the date to somewhere in the past. It seems strange to put date in future as I fail to see how that rewards long term holders and just allows new investors to benefit.
Agreed, waiting to know this is going to happen to pick a few more up myself.
Andrew Dennon will do well out of it with 2M+ shares and 1.3M share options so plenty of incentive for him to want this.
Had a look at board members pay after winni's post claiming they had too big a board with excessive salary's and winni couldn't be more wrong.
Parsons is paid £150K
Dennon £250K
Both have refused bonus payments until the co. has more funds to pay them
The three non execs who drew a salary received £6500 (J. Ainsworth now resigned) and £34,583 apiece went to M. Graham Wood and S. Birrell.
Hardly excessive esp given all paid board members attended all 14 board meetings throughout the year so they're not just there for show.
All in all they come out looking pretty good for aim directors, glad I was prompted me to look.
This is very good news. I can see a flood of buys coming in when this is set
The Company also announces that it is considering a distribution to qualifying shareholders on a future record date of an assignment to part of the proceeds which would be received by the Company in the event of successful monetary damages payment in relation to the Company's Energy Charter Treaty claim against the Republic of Slovenia. This would, if implemented, enfranchise qualifying shareholders with access to a portion of the damages proceeds being claimed which would not be exposed to future changes in the capital of the Company. It should be cautioned that in the event the Company is successful in its claim any amount actually received may be significantly lower than the full amount being claimed for.
Worryingly the message throughout has been that the sum actually received may be significantly lower than the claim. I just don't trust this BOD & particularly Parsons.
I really feel for the long term holders & a paltry return would be the final insult.
I'm sure the mouthpieces who have come on board in the last few weeks as they're experts will have a different opinion. Thank goodness I only have to share a message board with them!!
Appreciate you don't like Parson Winni but they've started winning their court cases. Its becoming a habit for them and as a business/revenue appreciation plan its working.
Knowing for sure that "if" they win big they're committed to distribution of funds to holders would have me buying more so will be watching closely to see how it pans outs at their meeting.
That 's typical Parson'S nonsense ..look at the history of tnl Echo energy and what happened at the start and where it is now .. The only person to make any money out for that were the lucky few plus the him and his cronies ..IMHO
Its actually pretty useful if they put it to the vote and then commit to it.
Any big wins not going to happen for a while we all know that but as the date gets closer it will be good to know there's a portion going straight to holders rather than the co. blowing the lot on American misadventures. (though how they could I don't know)
As i said. Wasnt bragging , just pointing out that its better to make a few hundred , than to lose thousands like you did NoCashDog.
Dog farter founded and sold a financial recruitment business and yet here he is on AIM bragging about making a few hundred quid! Hmmm! Doesn’t chime with me.
"My dick is bigger than yours" ...pathetic .. wealth is not just monetary ...its includes having some intelligence and there's not a lot of that in evidence here!
The reality of this share is the new board have been in place for 3 years . And their only obvious strategy is to hope they win a claim against a foreign government. They have an excessively large board and number part time executive on huge salaries. This share is lead by Parson's whom has a history of failure especially for its shareholders ..I can't see anything changing even if they win the claim there's no guarantee anything will change .. Other than their salaries and bonuses...IMHO it's a lifestyle company for this group
You two are such saddo's talking about £600 meals.
I went to our local cafe yesterday for egg n chips. Meal was so nice I left two 1 oz gold coins and a Lamborghini as a tip to the waitress.
Got to be generous in this life imo.
“Specialist Loser” …well ok if that’s what you want to believe but the last time my wife and I went out for dinner with two friends, (last weekend, admittedly in London) we spent £600, split equally between the four of us!…if that makes me a loser… well bring it on, I will take it.
What a sadie.
Actaully NoCashDog, I am in my early sixties, founded ran and sold a financial recruitment business. I remember paying over £600 for a lunch in the Bleeding Heart Holborn as far back as 2005. Your boasts are a little underwhelming.
I simply pointed out the figure to show that i made money whilst you lost it. You have clearly lost money here and seemed transfixed by it. No the sign of a good business person , who would have moved on by now.
Dog farter, there is a reason why HARL is a penny share, despite contract awards. Do some quality research, ensure your due diligence and you will understand why.
I could explain it but you are the type of investor who would never learn from others mistakes!
I get the impression from your posts that you are relatively young. True or not, I first started investing in 1981 as a young man. I am in my late sixties now, healthy and wealthy.
If you have researched me, you will know that I have an international portfolio of properties, love sailing and golf, enjoyed also by my wife and am in a position where I will never be financially compromised.
It sounds like bragging but it is fact!… not concerned if you believe me or not.
I do genuinely wish every investor, young or older, the best of luck as I have had over the years but it is all a gamble.
To try and establish facts, over the years, I lost heavily with AST, Eurotunnel, Telewest and others but did really well with Protherics (BTG), Amec, British Aerospace, Monument Oil & Gas, Bryson Oil & Gas, Lloyds Banking Group, ( bought at the height of the financial crisis and this year got over £9000k in dividends), Through a SIPP, I have invested in Nasdaq, and Japanese ETF’s, big Pharma and dabbled in Crypto when it was a fledgling! ( Crypto not in my SIPP)
“Specialist Loser” …well ok if that’s what you want to believe but the last time my wife and I went out for dinner with two friends, (last weekend, admittedly in London) we spent £600, split equally between the four of us!…if that makes me a loser… well bring it on, I will take it! 👍
Bagging?…yes but I feel like I can…I have done really well 👍
Dog farter, it’s true I lost a fair bit with this dog of a share!…you cannot win them all.… but so long as you win some eh?…🤪
35% of feck all is …feck all !!!…but stick your chest out and be proud of your life changing investment achievements!! … 😁
Typo 35% profit.
Well Kashdog, as usual you are out on your numbers. After todays bounce , i sold out at over 5% profit. That's not a lot of money. I admit. But its better than losing lots of money like you have done. I would rather be a winner, than a specialist loser like you. If you had taken my advice last week, you could have made money and given it to a well deserving charity. Instead you prefer to wallow in your ignorance. Sad person indeed,
Dog farter, you have told us you are something special, a really sophisticated investor!
You also told us you had invested £2000 so your 20% profit is £400 less dealing charges maybe?
I think we are all in awe of your success and we are probably green with envy and wondering how you are going to spend it!
Today’s news has elevated AST to a market cap of £6.68 million and with all those shares out there you are probably going to bring your undoubted expertise into play and “go for the big one” as you have indicated!
You don’t need me to wish you luck!…it seems you have it nailed.
I look forward to hearing about your seemingly guaranteed success ……go for it you god like investor! 🤣🤣🤣
AST and CPX should do well in the future,
AST next court case in April 2024
CPX is December 2023.
GLA and Dyor
PanMan ,My profits are going into HARL. They have just won a £61 million contract on the back of a £1.62 billion one. The lack of a financing deal has been holding the SP back. However, they are just about to conclude a very positive deal with UKEF. I think 30p is the short term target on completion.
Took a few off the table too. Was expecting a final decision along with the cash not an interim with a final decision next april and cash awarded some time after.
Gambling the market will be thinking the same.
Cant blame people for taking profits, i have. Probably a bit of a retrace, then im back in for the Big One..
Oh Dear, Oh Dear.
