Absolutely I agree they have overpaid, but at the same time I'm so bullish on the CU price long term that I think the deal was still worth it.
We'll see how the S32 portfolio turns out. My view is that they've overpaid, and I'm not sure that would have been the case under JT's stewardship.
South 32 deal was all Marc, seemed like a good deal and a continuation of Julian's legacy
Not really. Julian Treger laid the foundations for APF's growth thus far. Marc has everything to prove.
Although IMO Eco Royalties would have been a better name
I mean Marc has already delivered quite a lot!
It's disappointing the company didn't include 'Royalties' or 'Royalty and Streaming' in the name. It makes me feel that the new management team might be willing to stray outside of their lane and look at other investments outside of the traditional royalty and streaming model. I hope this isn't the case as those that have tried that in the past (Osisko, Sandstorm spring to mind) have been punished. Royalty and streaming investors want risk mitigated exposure, not operational or equity risk.
Disappointed on the whole, but the name is fairly inconsequential. Time for Marc to step up and deliver.
I mean who rly cares tbh, as long as divs keep coming and CEO delivers.
Not sure about the name. Does Ecora stand for Eco Royalty Aquisitions? Or were they just desperate to get the word Eco into our name. Not clear in the RNS. Can’t see this being positive for the sp, just makes company an obscure name no-ones ever heard of.
Very good sign considering a different director bought 25,000 early in the month.
Pretty good signal
Yup, South32 deal looking better and better :)
This looks to be a cracker of a royalty reading between the lines of the recent RNS. Although production might be 2.5 years away the 2% royalty rate on copper and nickel could be excellent .
Just checked on website and on net their nothing last RNS 6th Sept states Spruce Bluff Resources LTD acquired 25,100 shares @ 164p (PCA) with R Stan, non Executive -Director thats all ......ATB
Anyone know why sp is doing so well in current environment? I thought the base metals dropping price would dent sp... Is it maybe because coal still doing good and Kestrel income is going to be pretty good? I don't normally comment on the vagaries of sp moves, but APF seems to be countering global downtrend :D
How often do they re-assess a company's qualification to exist within a particular index, or is it monitored continuously?
Oh sorry I'll correct that statement, XP Power is bottom at £354M, oops, my bad!
No, not really why wouldn't it be able to join the FTSE250? We are long way off that, APF would need to put on about 125% to get anywhere near the FTSE250, minimum entry now is c£1Billion MCAP.
Anyone know any reason why APF would not be allowed into FTSE 250 if it reached the requisite market cap?
Dividend payment in.....offers a bit of light relief in high inflation climate and then a recession always follows says the experts on CNBC news , batten down the hatches then ......
thanks Cacher very detailed presentation all looks good for the future of this share lots of forward thinking in place ...

The International Energy Agency has warned that the energy transitions will significantly boost for mineral demand over the next 20 years.
By 2040, it estimates that mineral demand from clean energy technologies could potentially quadruple, with EVs and battery storage driving mineral growth.
It expects mineral demand in 2040 will be dominated by graphite, copper and nickel, with lithium seeing the fastest growth rate, with demand growing by as much as 40 times in the next 20 years.
