@GamblingAddict that was my plan here when I came in at 25p a couple of years ago after someone had tipped it to hit 30p within a few weeks.
I can safely say I'm here for the long haul now...
Hi Leas
Have you ever made a quick 10% ++++ with AMER?
Yes well I am getting excited with the ocean of oil.
It appears there have been 11 blue moons since the 8th of this month. That's more than at Manchester City!.....;)
Mr B. I would suggest there are hundreds of people who read these boards but don't post. I am one of them. I have been reading posts here for 4 years but only post once in a blue moon. Most of the posts are very informative. Thank you all.
Sadly, a lot of investors are noting more than gamblers. Ignore the fundamentals but seek out a quick 10% profit. MTFB is a typical mindset of today's investor. FLYB another, queuing up to invest their hard earned cash into a failing business on the hope of a takeover. Now that offer is 1p they are queuing up blaming everybody else other than themselves. The herd will be back soon.Informing investors that they will not sell until it reaches a pound as they pick up their phone to the broker and sell.
BBN, I was thinking along similar lines. The BB has the feel of a quiet before the storm - a great time to enter/add.
@Mr.B I don't doubt it, but the same logic applies to all BBs. It is only my opinion, which is of course is open to be challenged but I have seen it before and in my opinion it is a very good sign of what is to come.
There may only be just 8-10 regular posters but I would suggest there are dozens more who read this BB daily but for whatever reason don’t post.
I would also add that the combination of a quiet BB and a share with such very strong (be they new) fundamentals is for me very exciting. It means it hasn't all happened yet.
There are from what i can see just 8-10 regular posters here. You don't normally see such inactivity for a company that has just found a 200ft plus net light oil column with no OWC, that can be immediately extracted and sold. It shows how far this share is flying under the radar. The odds say it won't last so enjoy it.
"I recall someone saying stop bitching last week, I think s/he made a great point."
- think that was me :)
@jointhedots I appreciate you coming back to me.
Yes I have noted that the BB is a little tetchy these days. I was invested twice previously, the last being when the OBA was being built, so i know to a degree how drawn out this process has been and how long investors have waited for positivity to return here. The psychological affects of being deeply involved in a share for a long period can be extreme and it can be difficult to shift out of a pattern once it sets in. That applies to a great many things in life and it often takes people with a fresh undiluted perspectives to help break us free (although in investing we must always be careful who we trust).
For me it absolutely clear how strong a position AMER now finds itself in. The two deals done are game changers in themselves but CP0-5 is a very big deal indeed. It may well be that the market is also suffering the same hangover on AMER (though buying is nice and steady here), but that will most definitely change this year.
BBN
Many of us (maybe me included) seem to be on short fuses, taking offence at things that are very minor - I recall someone saying stop bitching last week, I think s/he made a great point.
Interesting as the BB is normally a relatively harmonious refuge from the bitter BB rows elsewhere, I say interesting because I suspect it may indicate we could be a little tense - waiting for the outcome of the new well perhaps.
We're actually in a great place, better than for years, with no need to argue the toss - so apologies for any offence.
