Analysts predicting over $50 billion in gross proceeds for the 5G spectrum auction
Can anyone confirm if we got to the bottom of FW involvement in the c-band for their SAS (or other) technology
Looking fine for accumulators ..
Not looking good here
That makes sense. Amber may also feel that they are overweight on ALM given that they had to accumulate shares in order to restructure the board. Disappointing because one of the attractive features of ALM was that a high percent of shares were thought to be held by institutions. We shall see if CA continue to sell and also the effect of the C-Band auction over the coming weeks.
It will probably be Amber again. Bernstein needs $ to buy back the shares in CRS which he is doing fairly regularly atm.
No sign of the big seller today. Still don't believe they are legit sells, think it's more between market makers. I've added more today so fingers crossed. Otherwise, there's a big seller out there who knows more about next weeks auction than I do.
Seems likely but they are assigned 'O' for ordinary trade.
They were bought in auction
Three big trades at the end of the day but I'm not convinced they are sells as they are executed at a higher price than much smaller sells around the same time. I generally resist market maker conspiracy theories but in this case it does look like a cheeky 'tree shake' ahead of the C-band auctions next week. Question is, how much do I believe that and am I brave enough to pick up a few more when the market opens in the morning.
There appears to be a large seller over the last week or so
Something not right here; -6.5% while the rest of my portfolio is booming.
Maybe the lull before the storm. Often get blackouts before news as not to inadvertently mislead investors with price sensitive info. That's just a guess, would be nice to reassess value of holdings, particularly interested in Spin Memory, surely Boeing will be looking to diversify from a one trick pony.
I did sell up but bought back in after lowering the average by a few pence.
Ps I was invested in RMS and that was my game changer for this year :-)
So I’m happy to sit tight on this one.
Plus my others - Botswana diamonds, petrel resources and Asiamet Res.
I’m very confident that our patience WILL be rewarded.
But that’s the thing - patience is needed here. I thought you’d sold out anyway?
Echo, I need/want this to be my game changer. New tech that is pioneered here. We need groundbreaking news, not sure if C band auction cuts it. If it’s 20-30% I wanted I could’ve got that during COVID downturn. Just hope our patience is rewarded
Don’t worry Nuck you’re not alone :-)
C band auction is imminent
Come on TF surely I’m not the only one that’s wondering when this will make a move
Try iot, ai and edge computing
Hopefully the sentiment towards 5G has improved since August. At the time, the extent and longevity of the Covid virus was a big unknown. Today, the vaccine provides some hope for a more favourable business environment and a corresponding greater demand for connectivity next year.
Another big factor is the recognition that faster internet speeds will be required for 'home working'. Even back in August, I don't think we fully realised the extent to which people would want to work from home. I'm sure the demand for Zoom conference calls as well as Netflix will create demand for 5G.
Thanks for the reminder
I forgot about the c-band auction in December
Fingers crossed for a push into the 40’s
Bought back in today.
I believe the C-Band auction starts 8th Dec in US. Also we have the OFCOM auction in UK coming up in January.

In August we saw a 30% increase in share price in the weeks leading up to CBRS auctions. Not sure if we will see the same again but it's worth taking a position to see how things pan out.
