Would love to know too! They were suspended, then talk of a takeover or merger but radio silence for years.
Hi, Does anyone know what happened to AFE? They appear to be doing quite well for themselves. although don't appear to be trading on a stock market.
Was there ever any more news on AFE?
Hello Pen. I've finally found it..... ^_^
Anyone here? Cant log into ii Pen
Held these shares for many years now but luckily sold a large portion prior to the suspension (AT A BIG LOSS). Still hold quite a few though with the optimism that they may still trade again on the JSE. Interesting point is that in July last year, approximately 44%+ of shares were held by five major shareholders. http://www.africaneagle.co.uk/investors-share.asp Whilst I am not over confident at getting my current losses back, trading on the JSE and the involvement of the five shareholders does give me a glimmer of hope in that all may not be lost yet. In the interim, all we can do is wait to see if trading resumes on the JSE.
As per my last post in early Feb it's no surprise is it ? As to what's happened although the demise of AFE isn't down to Clarke and Karim that's for sure but from the second either of them got involved and u did even some basic research on their track record and history - u never really got the feeling they were people destined in life to serve the interests of others above themselves did u really - and why would they ? It's been quite a crafty plan in truth first getting the shares suspended and then coming up with a half baked scheme to invest in something close to the deadline to raise hopes that it may all work out only for it to fail at the final hurdle and let u know the day after the time line runs out - pathetic - I always knew the risks here and the inherent risks of investing on Aim and I can only blame myself for doing so - but it still leaves a horrible taste in your mouth all the same - someone switch the lights off please
Woof woof! Lucky for some being out in the sun! I'm just travelling back from Thailand been out there for two weeks with my old man! He robbed me same as the aim market! Cancellation of Listing. Important Information & Other Key Dates: The Company has cancelled the admission to trading of its Ordinary shares on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM). On 11th August 2014, the Company's shares were suspended from trading on AIM. As a condition to its continued listing on AIM, the Company were given six months in which to implement its investing policy. As the Company has failed to meet this requirement, the shares have been cancelled from trading with immediate effect. Subsequently, the Cancellation became effective on 12th February 2015. You should be aware that following the cancellation of listing you are no longer able to sell or otherwise trade your African Eagle shares on AIM. Subject to compliance with requirements set forth by the Johannesburg ALtX Stock Exchange, the Company will change from a primary listing on AIM to a primary listing on the ALtX, where the shares are also currently suspended. Please note that, as any future trading will now be concentrated on the ALtX, we will be unable to support trading in your African Eagle shares via our sharedealing facility. Should the shares resume trading on the ALtX in the future you may wish to establish an arrangement with an alternative broker who can facilitate trading on this exchange. Should you wish to do this, please contact our call centre with the details of your chosen alternative broker and we will facilitate the transfer of your shares to them at no cost to yourself. Please be aware that you will need to have contacted your chosen broker in order to commence their necessary transfer process prior to contacting our call centre. Please be advised that in accordance with AIM Rules, the Company will no longer maintain its website. An update will be provided to shareholders in due course and we will advise you of any further developments as and when any update is released. SO..... AFE will carry on trading (hopefully) on the ALtX. Therefore, the only thing that we can do for now is sit on your hands and wait!

African Eagle wishes to provide an update to the announcements made on the 20 November 2014 and on 1 December 2014 in relation to the proposed acquisition of Lime-Chem Resources (Proprietary) Limited. Subsequent to the previous announcements and during the process of progressing the transaction the Company has identified aspects of the transaction that have necessitated changes to the previously announced terms. The Board intends to update shareholders of progress in relation to the proposed acquisition of Lime-Chem Resources (Proprietary) Limited via the website (www.africaneagle.co.uk) and the SENS system of the JSE Limited.
Sorry, been a long day and night. But, where did you get this bit from: "according to the rns, we should have news by 31st March 2015?

it would be interesting to see if there is an immediate re-rate prior to lifting the share price back to trading. But to be honest whatever happens will not have any positive impact on me, as I have been locked in since the Dutwa day's of 10p and have been burnt badly, and I certainly don see this company returning to those levels or even close any time soon. unless, a miracle of some sort was to happen
according to the rns, we should have news by 31st March 2015. If the acquisition is successful or not. That leaves us with potential 7 weeks or so. for news to filter through
Nothing yet
No news is not good news
Looks like another fine mess Olly. What a bunch of comedians. Looks almost certain we are heading for the big cess pit
Or cancellation of afe shares from AIM?
