Well said seattle.
Soundsrich I agree. Plus the US gave AEG grants ( $500k announced already ) and hopefully more to come ( The Chairman mentioned this at the investor lunch ) . In my opinion Newfoundland in time will give AEG their sawmill that they mothballed after spending $20m . Next month should be interesting .
Nothing markets a company better than success. If Bod gets Lumberton up and running in the next few months, with offtake agreements, we probably wont need the extra capacity newfoundland offers, its unlikely newfoundland will quickly change their situation. In a years time with a good orderbook and a successful Lumberton, perhaps we can approach newfoundland and negotiate a better deal, given all the benefits of Lumberton. Newfoundland lost aeg as much as the otherway round. I don't see it as a complete negative. Aeg had their choice of sites and Lumberton won.
For the record, I don't think rgs did anything wrong either and think he meant what he said, just didn't happen. I do think nfl turned out to be a disaster.
I hope I am proved wrong about NFL being dead too. I would be pleasantly surprised.
Zoom, honestly get why you feel like that and believe what you want, nothing to me either way.
Let's see what future holds and if they can pull it back. The sp is what tells the story and everything else is conjecture. I hold and have done all along, as I said.
Pokerhot, I don’t believe the rampers were beaten down for one minute, quite the opposite in fact. Every time someone has commented on the truly horrific state of affairs & share price they are instantly jumped on. Sell if you don’t like it or you’re trying to get cheaper shares..sound familiar? 90% down, you’re talking garbage. You’re all guilty of it & try many approaches to appear to come across as genuine.
NFL deal is dead, believe me. Govt are not the only decision makers on this so believe me it is dead. Polite chat is all that is left, but all credibility is gone as AEG confirmed by their actions or lack of that the warnings were real. AEG were given a chance despite everything and they blew it. In the industry and on the island AEG is just another name who tried and failed.
I have a good relationship with Rowan and I told him to ignore these boards when he questioned what's been said in the past. I have 100% confidence that what he and his team set out to deliver he will deliver. In addition who said Canada's dead, maybe Rowan needs to deliver something to restore confidence as if he then said 'we are back looking at Canada' then confidence is up. RGS also did nothing wrong and is one guy whose effort is on a different level. I still believe and have done since 2012 it's always been the long game for me, buying into a company and the strategy is still the same the products and locations and staff may have changed but that's all
Just to be clear. A lot of people bought into the business model and people behind it. RGS had a very successful past business and is very charismatic and believable. I think he believed all he said too and was blinded by tunnel vision on NFL.
I was one of the biggest opposes of Rowan due to lack of pr. It frustrated the hell out of me and still does to an extent. That said I am coming to prefer someone who ramps less and delivers what they say. It is far less costly that way. I personally learnt a lot in this and it cost a fortune. Most that I know who are pro aeg on this board I know are the same and always stayed in because they believe in the tech and the timing. A lot of it was to defend the obvious traders who were certainly shorting aeg and all sorts.
The reason for the quiet from said "rampers" is purely that we are beaten down and of course licking our wounds.(I believe).
So many lessons here. I just took a dislike to people who kick when something is down with little motivation except "I told you so".
This could have gone the other way in NFL but didn't. Lumberton is last chance saloon. I personally expect an update within the timeframe. At this point the risk v reward would seem a decent bet. But I certainly am not one to advise and am in fact a bad trader if based on this one. More investor into something that may well be worth a fortune or zero. I obviously think former as I hold but wouldn't tell anyone I know about the share as I had done previously.
